Twilight was silently sipping her tea. She silently scanned her bookshelves as she sat back in a chair. She yawned. As she stretched her wings while she sat. She got a knock on her door so she got up and went over to her door to see who was at her door as she wanted to know what the pony at the door needed. She then stopped and opened it.
She was greeted by Rarity. Rarity smiled at her and Twilight allowed her to come in by stepping aside. Rarity came in and scanned Twilights library. Twilight closed her door and then walked past Rarity who was still standing there by the door. Twilight walked up to her friend and spoke to her.
"It's good to see you Rarity." Twilight said with a pleasant smile as she was happy to see her friend. Rarity smiled back as she found Twilights attitude welcoming and she was glad that Twilight was taking time off from studying as she really needed it so she didn't overwork herself. Twilight sat by Rarity.
"It's great to see you to Twilight. I'm glad your doing good. I'm doing fine as well. I just did some work at Carousal Boutique so I'm giving myself some time off by coming over here to rest so that my material doesn't distract me. What are you doing?" Rarity asked. Twilight smiled and responded to her.
"I was just drinking some warm tea and reclining back." Twilight said. Then as Twilight said that something caught Rarity's eye and Twilight knew what Rarity was looking at she waited for Rarity to speak. Rarity recognized that Twilight had a very famous statue from Canterlot. She was stunned by the sight.
"Twilight? Why is there Crystal statue of Celestia here? This should be in Canterlot castle. How did it get here?" Rarity asked as she found it rather peculiar on why a famous statue would be in the hooves of Twilight. Rarity was shocked by a famous statue that she has seen many times in the library of her friend.
"Twilight I'm not playing around. This statue is one of the most famous statues ever made in Equestrian history and it's now somehow in your library for some random reason. I want to know what's going on." Rarity told Twilight. Twilight shrugged.
"I stole it. Is that all you need to know?" Twilight told her in an annoyed tone. Rarity freaked out and started to worry about Twilight getting in trouble. She wondered why Twilight stole it as it made no sense to her. Rarity noticed that Twilight didn't seem to care and that's what stunned her even more.
"Why?! Twilight Do you know what you've done?! You have just stolen the most prized Equestrian possession!! You could be tried for theft! You just stole the prime jewel of Canterlot!" Rarity shrieked. Twilight scrunched her face in thought and shrugged at Rarity.
"So what? It's a statue. I took a statue." Twilight said as she wasn't even worried as to what might happen to her. Rarity was taken back by Twilight not being worried. This made her freak out even more.
"It's not just a statue Twilight!! It's the prime jewel of Equestria!! You just pulled the biggest theft in all of Equestrian history! When they find out you did it you'll be arrested and talked about for the rest of your life. You'll be tried for theft and would be sentenced to jail!!" Rarity screeched. Twilight nodded to all of what Rarity had said. She responded.
"I know that." Twilight said. Rarity was dumbfounded by her answer. She lost it and screeched while panicking about the situation.
"What about me and your friends Twilight? What will they do now when your arrested!? What will Spike think?!" Rarity asked while screeching. Twilight shrugged.
"I'm not going to be in jail for ever and plus I'll be allowed visitors by Celestia so I'll see you girls and Spike. It's not really a big deal...." Twilight said as she was bewildered by Rarity freaking out. Rarity rubbed her head in frustration. Twilight smiled.
"Do you want something from Canterlot I'll steal it for you..." Twilight said but Rarity cut her off.
"No! You are in enough trouble as it is!" Rarity screeched. As soon as she said that some royal guards came up to Twilight as they got off a chariot.
"Twilight Sparkle? You are under arrest for the deliberate theft of an Equestrian treasure. You have a right to remain silent and anything you say will be used you in the court of law." The guard said. Twilight nodded as they put hoof cuffs around her. She waved at Rarity as they flew off.
Twilight was sentenced to two years in jail and one year of community service. She was allowed visitors so she told her friends that they could see her so Twilight and her friends still got to hang out every day. Twilight also saw her family every day as well.
Twilights jail wasn't that bad. She got free tasty food She had to get up for breakfast and was allowed exercise on a track in the jail. She had She got to read as many books as she wanted.
She mostly stayed in her cell and read all day. She and her friends sent letters back and forth to each other. She looked back at what she did and looked at her situation and had a thought.
"Totally worth it." Twilight said with a smile. She in the end had the last laugh as she had to be taken care of she didn't have to do much of anything.
