Just Perfect

Date: August 8, 2027

Location: Somewhere in Southern California

Time: 3:00pm

The threat of nuclear war has been around ever since the Cold War, now it is here.

(POV: Maximus Meridius)

Today is my 25th birthday. Normally I would be getting ready to go to Six Flags, which has turned into a tradition of all of my friends, for we would go there on whoever's birthday it was. Instead I'm gathering all of the survival gear into my survival backpack. The pack is a simple forest green camo scheme to it with two large pouches that can expand to allow more stuff to be put in it. My survival gear consists of several feet of 550 cord, a LifeStraw, several MREs, an aluminum baseball bat, Dark Disrupter Ninja sword with two throwing knives, and a Gerber Strongarm Fixed Blade SE in coyote brown.

Once I had all of my stuff in my pack and sword in its sheath. I checked the T.V. for any new news about the bombs. There was nothing but static on the news channel and every other channel. So I had to wager a guess that they got hit. Several seconds later I could here them coming. I did what I could at the moment...run. Run like there is no tomorrow which there actually would be no tomorrow. I ran and I ran for several miles until I heard the faint whistling of something falling. I looked up to see a black dot in the sky falling straight towards me at extremely high speeds. I only had a few seconds to do anything before the bomb would impact the ground were I stood. What I did in those several seconds was say two words.

"Fuck me."

"Ka-boom"

With only several milliseconds before that bomb detonated upon my face there was a blinding white flash of light. Though I could still here the explosion of the nuke I was in what looked like a simple white room there wasn't much in the room just a white table with all my stuff, but what was lying next to my stuff is what caught my attention. It was what looked like an SRS 99 Anti-Material Sniper Rifle from Halo: Reach and the Super Shotgun from Doom (2016) with the stock of The 4th Horseman from Destiny. I was broken from my trance on the weapons by a voice.

"Hello Maximus."

"How in the hell do you know my name and how are you?!" After asking that I turned around to see an anthro pony standing there. Said pony was more humanlike than pony, but still had the features of one. This pony had a red mane and tail, white wings, a long white horn protruding form the top of her forehead at an angle, and a long white dress.

"My name is Queen Faust. For how I know your name it was given to me when I brought what is left of you here."

"And how much of me is there."

"Your mind and soul."

"Oh..." I stated as I "looked" at what was left of me. Which was just a floating ball of light. "so how did my stuff get here and what's up with the guns?"

"For your belongings I was able to bring them here before the bomb hit you. For the guns You might need something with a bit of range for were you are going."

"Let me guess the Everfree Forest. Correct?"

"Yes, but a little farther in than you think."

"Fantastic..." I stated as I floated over to the table which had some clothes on it that I missed the first time looking at it. When I took a closer look at the clothes there was something off about them. They looked like they were girl's clothing.

"Hey Faust what's up with the clothes?"

"Ah...yes I think you can piece it together, no?"

"..."

"..."

"..."

"Why?"

"Simple there is nothing left of your original body. So I has to start from scratch..."

"Something went wrong didn't it?"

"...Yes as I was working on the genetic part of your new body...I accidentally added and extra X chromosome to the mix, but once that was done I couldn't change it. I'm sorry about that."

"Well that's just FAN-FUCKING-TASTIC!" I yelled out loud with some other profanity staying in my mind.

"I'm truly sorry. I should have payed more attention to what I was doing." stated Faust while she gave me what would be considered a wing-hug to the partially formed form of who I was to become. We stayed like that for some time so that I could collect my self beck from a jumbled mess of crying and screaming at her. I don't know how long I stayed in that hug, but damn it soft and warm...almost like one a mother would give to her child after something majorly bad happened. It felt nice, but life must go on. Thankfully this time it won't be all screaming and yelling.

"Feeling better?"

"...*sniff*...Yeah...I think I can manage for now still getting over the whole gender swap."

"I am sorry about that."

"I know...just it is going to take some time to get used to some of the new features." Which were a pair of wings that were a two tone orange and red. The orange starting at the base were the wings connect to the back and slowly change to red at the tips of the wings.

"Right so now that is all over with how about we get you something to cover you. You wouldn't wan to to end up in a forest naked would you?"

"No." I answer after realizing that I was in fact naked. Which prompted me to look for a mirror which appeared out of nowhere. Once I got a good long look at Faust's job on my new body. What I saw made me do a double take. Standing in the full length mirror was a fairly tanned woman with sky blue eyes, orange wings that gradated into red, orange pony ears that were tipped red, with a crimson red hair and tail. I think if I was still a guy I would have a major boner right now. Well then that is something so now to put what Faust got for me to wear on. What she got me was basically what I was wearing before taking a nuke to the face. Which was a pair of red Vans high tops, a pair of black jeans, and a dark red t-shirt with Deadpool's logo on it. Faust also got me a leather jacket that looked to be a bit formfitting and some new underwear and a bra. Before getting gender swapped I would have not worn anything formfitting, because I was not the most fit looking guy out there, but now I really don't care. Why because this is a really nice jacket. Wait why did I just think that...oh right I'ma girl now so I might start thinking about stuff like that. Well it's one of the things I'm going to have to get used to and probably a name change as well.

So now that I am dressed and have every thing strapped together Faust hands me a scroll with a simple red ribbon rapped around it.

"Once you get there try to find my daughters Celestia and Luna. Give this letter to one of them for it explains the circumstances that brought you to Equestria."

"Right, so will I be able to see what is left of the Castle of the Two Sisters from where I will end up at?"

"Yes and no." Before I could asker what she ment by that every thing goes dark.

Date: August 8, 2084AD

Location: Ponyville

Time: 10:40pm

(The night before the Summer Sun Celebration)

The party in the tree library had been raging on for several hours. That all came to a screeching halt with the entire treehouse shaking after the sound of a sonic boom that only a few of the participance of the party heard. Those that herd the sonic boom ran out side to see what looked like a meteor streaking across the night sky. Soon the rest of the party goers were out side recording the event on their cell phones. Several seconds later the meteor struck the planet with such a force it was felt in Canterlot fifty miles away.

(Eight hours later)

(POV: Maximus)

"Uh...my head...it feels like I got whacked over the head with a titanium-A frying pan." I said as I sat up in the crater that I am...sitting...in. The only explanation that I can come up with was Faust did it. Alright lest see...sniper rifle from Halo, check, Doom/Destiny hybrid shotgun, check, Dark Disruptor, check, survival backpack, check, wings, check, letter to the princesses, check, macbook air laptop with American flag cover cace, charging cord for the Air, Samsung Galaxy S7 in red&black rubber cace, charging cord for the S7, six Airborne Biohazard Zombie throwing knives, Xbox One with appropriate cords, two Lunar White Wireless controllers, and several games, check...wait what! Those weren't there before. There was a sticky note on the laptop.

I thought you might want more personal items and I found the throwing knives on your dresser. Looks like you forgot something~.

P.S. I fixed the problem with Tower Unite.

Oh...now I remember I forgot to pack something oh well and the next time I see her I'll thank her for the stuff and fixing the problem with Tower Unite. (Which was that it wouldn't start because it would say 'failed to start game missing executable') I then looked at the letter the Faust gave me out of curiosity. 'Oh so my new name is Quantum Star I wonder why' I thought to my self. Ok now lets figure out were the hell I am. After some time climbing up the edge of the crater I find that I am on the back side of the ruined castle in the Everfree Forest. As I'm walking around to the rope bridge across the raven I see a light go off in one of the towers. So I pulled out the sniper rifle and look through the scope at that tower. I see that Nightmare Moon has the mane six cornered I think by the way that she is laughing. So I aim at the tip of her horn and fire off a round which momentarily stuns the bitch. That gave the girls time to hit Nightmare Moon with the Elements of Harmony.

(Moments after the return of Princess Luna from Nightmare Moon)

(POV: Luna)

"I thank thee for releasing me from her, but pray tell what was that loud bang that gave thee the opening?"

"I truly do not know Princess." replied thine sisters protégé.

"That was me." stated a mare in the shadows. That mare revealed her self to be waring strange clothing. Then again this was a new era so there had to be some changes to the style of clothing worn. What intrigued me was not what she wore, but what was slung on her back. She had what clearly looked like a sword hilt, but there were two strange looking sticks strapped to the sides of her pack. Then there was the two tone wings that were sticking out between the straps and the pack on her back. Though be fore I could ask the question on everyponies minds. Mine sister beats me to it.

"Who might you be miss?"

"My name is Quantum Star and I was told to give you this." Stated Quantum Star as she dug through her pack to retrieve a scroll and hand it Tia.

"Sister" calls Tia. Must be important.

To my dearest Tia or Lulu or to the both of you,

             As You maybe already questioning how Quantum Star got to Equestria. It is that she was a he in another world altogether, but sadly her world is now a wasteland. I saw that she has a hart full of many things more good than bad so I gave her a second chance at life here in Equestria. She will need some new friends seeing that all of her old ones are probably dead now. Though I will let her tell that story.

"So she still lives how touching..." said a dark voice from the shadows.

"Show thine self!" I yelled to the voice. What came out of the shadows sent a chill down my spine."You"

"Why hello there Lulu" stated Nightmare Moon. "It seems that the Elements of Harmony decided to give me my own body-" Nightmare Moon was interrupted by a purple energy arrow that upon hitting the ruble next to her exploded into a snare trap. Which was fallowed up by six shots of direct solar energy that completely decimated her. Looking behind me to were the shots came from revealed to be Quantum Star holding a small strange club that was infused with direct solar energy.

"Holy shit! I've got those abilities." exclaimed Quantum.

"Pray tell what abilities?" asked Tia with narrowed eyes.

" First off would it be wise to do the explanations somewhere else?" asked Quantum Star. Which got a nod form Tia. We gathered around her and teleported to the library of the town nearby. Once there Quantum Star started her explanation

"Those two abilities are called Shadow Shot and Golden Gun respectfully. They are supper abilities for the two sub-classes from a game called Destiny. In that game there  are three classes: Titan, Hunter, and Warlock. They each have three sub-classes. The two suppers you saw me preform were from the Gunslinger and Nightstalker sub-class of the Hunter. The third sub-class of the Hunter is Bladedancer. Those three sub-class have a different elemental property to them Gunslinger uses solar energy, Bladedancer uses arc energy, and Nightstalker uses void energy." explained Quantum.

"And what of the Titan and Warlock, what do they hold?" I asked

"There sub-classes are: Defender, Striker, and Sunbreaker for the Titan and Voidwalker, Sunsinger, and Stormcaller for the Warlock." Answered Quantum. "Though I have know Idea if I have the other two classes sub-classes." she added

"Well maybe we can tell from your Cutie Mark." Stated the element of Magic.

"My what-now?" asked Quantum

"It's a symbolizes of someponies special talent and what they do in life." stated the element of Loyalty which got the other Element Bearers to stare at. "What I'm not that dumb. I know some stuff."

"Where would a Cutie Mark be located?" asked Quantum.

"On ones shoulders and hips." Answered the element of Generosity.

"Oh..." Stated Quantum as she removed her jacket and rolled up the sleeve of her shirt to reveal an orange hammer engulfed in flames with two swords arcing with electricity crossed behind the hammer with three orbs of purple orbiting around the hammer and swords. "Well that settles it I have all three classes sub-classes."

"How do you know...if you don't mind telling...that is." Asked the element of Kindness.

"Well the hammer on fire is Sunbreaker's supper ability 'Hammer of Sol', the swords are Bladedancer's supper 'Arc Blade', and the three purple orbs are Voidwalker's supper 'Nova bomb'." stated Quantum Star.

Now that I think about it her name is very fitting for her.

"So Miss Quantum Star what do you plan on doing?" Asked Tia.

"Starting a new life one where I want to do something with my life and be helpful to the peo...ponies around me." Answered Quantum Star.

"Vary well then. I would like for you to send me a weekly report of what you have done to help others in this town along with Twilight's friendship reports. Can you handle that?" Tia stated.

"I think I can handle that Princess." Answered Quantum.
