Hello there, I guess that I can assume that all of you want to know how I got to this weird new world full of magic, and monsters. Well, I guess that I’ll need to start from the very beginning.
I was just your average anime fan, not wanting to attract too much attention to myself, and decided to go to Comic-Con, dressed as my new favorite anime character, Hinata Hyuga. I love how her character develops throughout Naruto, and everytime she appears on screen, she’s just a little stronger or a little bit more brave. She’s everything I wish I could be. Later on, I found out that there would be a comic con convention coming to town so it just clicked. I figured that if I could dress up as my idol, that I might become more like her. It took me months to piece together my costume, trying to find the right hair dye or someplace that might give me the perfect haircut was challenging, but teaching myself to sew was on a whole other level of difficulty. In the end though I did manage to get everything that I needed, all except for one piece. I didn’t get the contacts that I needed to change my eye color to match Hinata’s
The day of the convention, I went in and decided to got to some of the panels that they had. This year, John deLancie, Patrick Stewart, Will Wheaton, and everyone else from the cast of Star Trek were there. Of course, before I became a weeaboo, I was a Trekkie so I had a field day there. After I had gotten done with the panels, I ended up looking around some of the booths that had been set up, trying to see what kind of fun knick knacks I could find, such as replica kunai and shuriken. In the end though, I found myself at a table that was owned by someone wearing the mask of the Anbu Black Ops. There were two other people there, a boy who was dressed up like a Dewott, and a girl who looked like some kind of giant spider, complete with the eyes and arms. When I looked at the table that they were all staring at, something caught my eye. There was a glasses case with light grey colored contact lenses, sitting next to light pink ribbon and a set of shells. Of course this was the point where I should have started to see what was coming next, my mother having warned me about strange disappearances that happened from people buying things from an odd vendor, but at the time I didn’t even think about it. I reached down and picked up the lenses, while the boy and other girl picked up the shells and ribbon respectively. Then the merchant started to speak
“I see that you have take a liking to my wares, should any of you wish to purchase them, it will be twenty dollars.”
I look into my wallet (yes, not all girls use coin purses!), finding it about as empty as it could be i look around seeing the same thing from the other two who are with me. The merchant takes notice of this and says
“I understand if you cannot afford these items, but would you please take a pose, it would warm my heart to see someone using my items.”
I smile, happy to comply as I carefully put the contact lenses on my eyes. However, as soon as I did that, a throbbing headache came over me, causing me to hold my head for a few seconds before the pain went away. Suddenly, I heard a shout come from the spider lady saying
“They’re moving? How are they moving? I should on be able to move two arms, not six!”
Then, it hits me. The spider, that is since in her panic, she flailed about carelessly, not noticing when she accidentally hits me in the head, causing me to collapse, unconscious.
