The next couple hours were a blur for James as he heard running, somebody shouting among various other things.  When he woke up later he saw he was on a nice looking couch in what looked to be a very expensive looking room.  He was checking out his surroundings when he heard the door open and saw three inklings walk in and look at him.  The first one he saw had two black and white tentacles hanging down from her head, and had a pink and black dress on, and had what looked like a scrub brush in her hair. The second one was about the same height but wore a dress with lime green spots on it.  Her tenticals were gray and tightly folded up. She wore what looked to be a fedora on her head.  The last squid was the one who had saved him in the ally. She was much shorter than the other two and was about James age.  She had had blue tentacles that were like the first squid, but were much smaller than that.  She was wearing nothing but a T-shirt and a cap.  They stood there for a moment frozen before the small one said "Hey he Is finally awake," she said.  James not knowing what to say just sat there and said nothing.  "Oh my we forgot to introduce ourselves.  My name is Callie," Said the tall one with the pink dress. "I'm Marie" said the one with the gray hair.  "Hi there I'm Sophia".  James still sat dumb struck. " Mabey he can't talk" Callie said discussing with the other squids. "M-My name is J-James,".  They immediately stopped talking and looked over at James.  " How exactly did I get here.  I don't remember much of what happened? " "Sophia here saved you but I'll let her tell that" said Callie.  "When I saw you, you tried to run away from me, but thanks to your wounds you could not run and ended up falling and going unconscious.  Not wanting to leave you there I picked you up and ran you over here as fast as I could,". Sophia said all this while blushing.  " Now as great of a hero story as that is I just have one question what are you exactly?" Marie asked. James responded with "I'm human".  The three inklings gasped.  " but I thought humans were extinct?!" Callie said.  " I was a lucky person who survived the rising sea levels.  I'm probably the only human left in existence,". As James said this he started to cry, but Sophia just hugged him and let him sob into her chest.  Once he was done crying the three tried to decide what to do with him as they would not let him go back to the streets.  Sophia said she had a hard enough time paying the rent for herself and did not have room.  Marie did not have space at her place either.  They decided Callie would take him in as she had more than enough room at her place at flounder heights.  Callie was actually really excited about this as she would kind of get to be a mother to James.  They came back to tell him there desicion, but he was fast asleep.  Callie just carried him to the car put him in the back seat and drove off to her place at flounder heights. They arrived about 30 minutes later at Callie place.  Just as she was pulling in James woke up in the back seat "where are we?" James asked.  "Well we didn't want to send you back to the streets so you're living with me at my place," Callie awnserd. James then tried to get out of the car but Callie stopped him. "We need to check your Injuries before you can move on your own," Callie said and she helped him into the house.  She then took him to the bathroom as the cuts needed to be cleaned and he could really use a bath.  As Callie started taking off James clothes she became a little more nervous. "Don't worry as you won't be the first person to see me naked." James said. She then took off his boxers.  She then started the warm ink (as water is like poison to inklings).  She then sat him down in the bathtub once the water was at a good tempature.  She then started washing all the cuts on his body, and once she was done with the cuts and bruises she washed his hair.  She was almost done when she realized she had one more place to wash, his private area.  Callie took a deep breath and washed it the best she could.  She then got him a towel and a fresh pair of clothes which she helped him change into. "Thanks" James said.  " no problem" Callie said back. She then made burgers for the two which James commented had been the best meal he had in a long time, which made Callie blush bright red.  After dinner she put James to bed and tucked him in. "AHHHHHHHHHH!!!" James screamed. Callie was in there 5 seconds later "What happend are you okay?!" Callie asked.  "Sorry just had a nightmare." James said all while looking tromatized. Callie sat next to him. " Tell me what it was about" " it was about my parents right before they died. I remember seeing them wave at me as I drifted off in the pod they were crying and smiling, and then the wave came and they were gone,". "Wow. Im sorry that happened, but hey me, Marie, and Sophia can be your family now," Callie said while smileing.  She then started to sing maritime memory as it was a nice happy song. She then laid James down tucked him in, but kept singing the song until he was smiling and asleep.  She left once he was sleeping peacefully. //-------------------------------------------------------// What to do //-------------------------------------------------------// What to do After having a decent nights sleep James awoke in the morning to find Callie still asleep.  Wanting to repay her for last night when she helped him, James found the pancake mix and started making pancakes for him and Callie.   Callie woke up and found James making pancakes, and a plate full of them.  "You can have all that's on the plate,". Callie didn't wait a second before eating all the pancakes on the plate.  James chuckled softley at this childe's attitude Callie had.  " What are we going to do today?" James asked.  "Well first were going to take you down to ammo knights and get you fitted out for a weapon, and then get you started in turf wars," Callie responded.  James looked at her a little crazy,but kept eating thinking it would be okay. After driving back to inkopolis they headed down to ammo knights together to get James some gear.  "Ah if it isn't one of the squid sisters.  What can I do for you Callie?" Sheldon asked. " Hey Sheldon I just came here to get my friend some gear, and also science he is not a squid do you have anything that could allow him to be splatted and swim through ink?" Callie asked. "Actually I have been working on something that will allow him to do just that.  Behold my latest invention,". Said sheldon holding a suit. " this here suit will allow your friend to be splatted and not only swim, but glide on friendly ink, and allow him to respawn.  Now what weapon would you like?". James looked around before setting his eyes on the inkbrush.  "I'll take that one," he said pointing to the inkbrush. Sheldon handed him the suit and the inkbrush.  "How much?" Callie asked. "For you 400 splat coins".  Callie then paid Sheldon the money, thanked him, and left.  " alright next stop is the arena" "hey, just out of curiosity does Sophia live close by here?" James asked. "Yes, why?" Callie asked back.  "Well scince it is my first time going into turf wars I was kind of hoping she could be there with me?" "Oh, well I'll call her and see if she can come.".  After taking to Sophia she says she would be there in five minutes.  They pair then saw her running towards them. " hi Callie, hi James" Sophia said.  "Well I've gotta go off to work," Callie said and then left the pair.  "Well are you ready?" James asked.  "The better question is are you ready? Do you even know what turf wars is?" "No so a crash course would be good" "well the way it works is two teams ink as much turf as they can.  The team with the most inked turf at the end wins" "alright let's go rek some scrubs".  The two then walked in the battle dome and they teleported of to a battle. They ended up landing in arowana mall and were on the green team.  James winked at Sophia and then the speakers said go.  James immediately ran as fast as he could inking turf as he went, suddenly shots of blue came out of now where.  James quickly located the source of the shots closing from a boy inkling. He then ran up to him and smacked him with the inkbrush splatting him instantly, and then kept on inking turf.  Sophie in the meantime was inking turf fine with her dual jet squelcher.  She then looked over at James and her mouth dropped.  He was the best inkbrush user ever.  Most of the time it took even experienced inklings a long time to get a hold of how the inkbrush works, but he was inking and splatting lots of turf.  Plus when shots came at him he used his inkbrush to deflect the shots.  When the game ended, the green team had inked more than half the turf and James was at the top of the list with the most turf inked and most kills. "HOW DID YOU DO THAT?!" Sophia asked.  "I don't know it just came naturally?" "It just came naturally I find that hard to believe,".  They kept chatting while heading towards the studio to see how Callie and Marie were doing.  They went inside but saw nobody there. They then started looking around to see if anybody was there.  Just then James heard a loud bang and quickly he ran to it.  He found a locked door, but just busted it down.  Inside he found Marie tied up and gagged.  He quickly went over to check her.  He removed her gag and she said " kidnappers... Callie..you...dead by 11:00" "woah hold on just calm down and say it again slowly," " 5 inklings came and k-kidnapped Callie. T-they told me t-to tell you to meet them at this address by 11:00 wearing the suit or they'll kill Callie,". Marie started crying.  James looked at the address and put the note in his pocket. "What are we going to do?" Sophia asked.  "Were going beat the crap out of them and get Callie back." James responded with. //-------------------------------------------------------// Saving Callie //-------------------------------------------------------// Saving Callie James read the note again and looked at the clock. It was 10:00 PM one hour before he was suppose to meet the people who squidnapped Callie.  He went outside to meet Sophia friends as he thought they could use some more fire power.  He walked outside and they were standing there.  "Hi there I'm carter," said the inkling boy. "And I'm Vee," said the inkling girl.  James shook their hands then said " Alright, now you must understand these people are not pushovers, and they will not hesitate to kill you where you stand.  This is not going to end pretty one way or the other, so anybody that wants to opt out speak up now,". Nobody spoke " alright then let's go save Callie," and they superjumped to the address. They walked in the ally towards the place they needed to be, and the guard let them in.  They kept walking till they entered a huge room with a metal floor.  "Stop riiight there," said a voice.  They group looked up and saw a black inkling , who was obviously a gang leader.  "We will not comply with any of your orders until we see Callie,". James said. The inkling smiled and nodded and someone came in holding Callie by the arm.  Callie was not doing well she was bruised and beaten, looked rehydrated and was cut all over.  " CALLIE," James screamed.  "James don't do it for me just leave HE IS GOING TO KILL YOU RUN JAMPHH." "Now that's enough out of her," said the black inkling "oh, how rude of me not to introduce myself. I am tarturus." "What do you want?" Carter asked.  "Well that is simple I want his CORPSE!" Tarturus said while pointing at James.  "You might be wondering why I want this human dead, well it is becuase his species is what killed my family.  Yes do you know human the pollution you caused killed my family.  So know I'm not going to kill you, but instead we are going to play a little game I like to call team death match.  It is simple in we try to kill each other,". " so are we just going to play on a flat plain? " "oh no were not".  Tarturus pushed a button on his wrist and the metal floor began to shape into an arena,and once it was done the battle began.  James ran up to one of the minions and slapped him with his inkbrush killing him.  Sophia threw an splat bomb and killed. Vee sniped the 3rd one with her E-Liter, and carter shot the 4th one with his splatter shot pro. " Must I do everything myself" tarturus said.  He pressed another button and a load of ink came down on the group.  James made it out of the way but, Sophia, carter, and vee were all hit.  They did not die, but were not moving. "HAHAHAHAHAHA!" Tarturus said laughing.  This made James very angry. He ran up to tarturus and punched him knocking him out.  He then went and looked for Callie.  He found here knocked out in a room. "CALLIE CALLIE CALLIE!" after shaking her she finnaly woke up.  He helped her move back towards the arena.  When he got back carter and vee were up but Sophia was awake but could not move she said she felt stiff. Just then James saw tarturus walking away.  He ran over and kicked him.  "You monster" James said while choking him.  James then put him down on the ground and punched him over and over while screaming. "Whose the monster know" tarturus said right before James punched him one more time and he died.  Everybody backed off of the group.  James then picked up Callie and Sophia and the group ran to the hospital. The docters immediately after the group barged in took the entire group away for examination.  The immediately put Callie on a iv and started giving her blood.  Carter and vee were fine except for some minor injuries. They said Sophia would also be fine but somebody would have to watch her for the night.  James agreed to do it.  After making sure carter and vee got home safely James went to Sophias apartment. "Hey, I know this is a weird request but could you help me take a shower?" Sophia asked.  James nodded.  He took here to the bathroom and started taking of her clothes.  "Getting hard yet?" Sophia asked.  James chuckled at this remark and then started the bath.  Once it was good enough he put Sophia in the tub and started scrubing.  He was about to pull the plug when Sophia said "missed a spot," "what where did I miss?" James could not sleep well that night he kept dreaming about how he killed tarturus.  He kept remembering "whose the monster now" right before he killed him.  Sophia just then woke up.  Her limbs felt much better, and she got out of bed to go look for James.  She found him sitting on the couch.  Sophia asked James if he would like pancakes, and James said he would.  "James if I can ask, why did you kill tarturus?"  James looked down and said "you were all just lying there close to death, and he was just laughing at it.  I got so mad I just couldn't let him live," "oh,OK" "Sophia I'm going to ask you a question and I want a truthfully awnser.  Am I a monster?" "I don't think you are a monster James,"  "thanks that helps a lot, anyway after breakfast let's head to the arena," " alright,". Sophia said with a smile. The pair after breakfast went to the arena and joined a game.  Everything was going fine for James right up until he splatted a squid the memory of killing tarturus came back.  James began having a seizure due to the memory.  Sophia quickly saw the problem and ran to him she pulled out her phone and dialled 911 "911 yes I'm at arowana mall, and I've got somebody here having a seizure,"  the evac copter came 30 seconds later and they put James in a stretcher and told Sophia she could ride with him to the hospital. She hoped in and the chopper flew to the hospital. They arrived at the hospital a couple minutes later and they immediately got him on oyxogen and rolled him away.  "I'm sorry ma'am but you must wait here for now,". Sophia responded OK and sat down to wait for the docters.  Callie was just about to get discharged when she looked on the TV, and saw the headline " Human has seizure" and at that exact moment James rolled by on a stretcher.  "I'm sorry but you must wait until he is stable." Callie calmyly walked out the door to see Sophia.  "Sophia what are you doing here?" Callie asked. "Well me and James had gone of to the arena to play some turf wars, and right after he splatted a inkling he froze up and started shaking, I then called 911 and rode with him to the hospital," just then a docter came running and said "hey do you know the human," " yes,why" "okay right after we got him stable and conscious he ripped the iv out and puched both of the docters knocking them out, and then jumped out of the window, and we thithink that he might be trying to kill himself, and we need your help looking for him with the search party,"  Sophia and Callie both looked shocked.  They called Marie, carter, and vee, and went out to find James. While others searched the town our group decided to look around the beachy area of the island.  They had vee use her scope to find James. She said she saw somebody down at the beach. The group quickly ran down there and they saw James holding a knife to his chest. "DONT DO IT!" Callie yelled.  James did not even turn around to look at them "why should I not do it? The world would be a better place without this monster,"  "but your not a monster James,"Callie.  " you did it because you cared about us," said Sophia. "You risked your life to save Callie," Marie said. "You even carried Callie and Sophia to the hospital," carter and vee said.  All this time Sophia had slowly been moving forward.  She wanted to grab the knife from his hands and chuck it so he could not kill himself.  Once she got close enough she grabbed the knife and chucked it as far away as she could. James just sat down crying, and the rest of the group sat down with him. Once the moment was over they took James back to the hospital to be checked.  The hospital was relived that the group had found him. They checked his vitals and said he was fine, but was put on suicide watch for the next week.  He was to not be left alone at any time.  The whole group singed to watch him. Callie then took James back to her place. "Do you really have to help me in the shower?" James asked. "You remember what the docter said you can't be left alone at anytime, which includeds the shower," "oh alright let's just get this over with," Callie took off all his clothes and put him in the tub. She was about halfway through when she noticed his member get hard.  "Like what you see?" "I'm going to go back to the pod I came from and go back for a couple of things that I left from last time,". " thats cool, but somebody must go with you science, if you dont remember you're on suicide watch," "who will it be?" Probably Sophia as it is her day to watch you,"  James smiled as he liked Sophia.  The two finished up their eggs and Callie drove down to inkopolis. "Are you sure this is the right way?" Sophia asked.  After James arrived they started walking down towards the beach to where his pod was located. "Yeah I'm sure this is the right way I remember,"  they arrived at the shore.  They didn't see it at first, but when they looked out in the distance they saw his pod.  It was about 100 yards out.  James started talking off his shirt.  "You realize you cant go out there James," "why not?" "Because the water will kill you," "watch me" "nononononon" but it was to late as James had jumped in the water.  Sophia thought he was dead, but to her surprise he resurfaced and kept swimming towards the pod.  When James climbed in the pod he started looking for some things.  At first he found a few photos of his family which he tucked in the water proff bag, but he then found his lg g3 and his Bluetooth earbuds, and lucky him he found the charger for both of them.  After making sure they were secure in his pocket he jumped out and swam back to the shore.  Sophia saw him and was relived.  "How come you didn't die?" "Wow that was an amazing song," Sophia said "and your voice is amazing," "thanks, now let's get back to the city. When the got back to the city they went to the studio to meet Callie and Marie, and luckily they were both there this time. " hey you two," Marie said.  "Did you find what you were looking for," "yeah and I also found out that James can swim in normal water," "wait he can?" Callie and Marie both said.  "Its super hard to explian why," James said.  After talking for a little bit Callie said " oh I just remembered.  The hospital called and they need to check James psychologic state so can you take him over there Sophia," "sure," "and we also wanted to mention that were having a party in the plaza at 8:00 PM" "don't be late," Marie said.  James and Sophia then started walking towards the hospital.  " I think I love this hospital," James said. "Why?" Sophia asked. "Because I keep coming back to it,". This made Sophia burst into laughter, and James laughed as well.  They then walked into the hospital, and checked James in. A couple minutes later they called James and sent him away to see a psychiatrist.  When he came back later Sophia asked " how did it go?" "They psychiatrist said I was stable and they actually took me off suicide watch, but said they're going to keep an eye on me," " wow James that is great," Sophia then hugged him. After spending a few hours as Sophia's place they decided to head down to the plaza for the party.  When they got there everything was booming.  Callie and marie were singing and dancing where everybody could see them.  James and Sophia danced and had a good time together.  A little while later James told Sophia he was going to get a drink from the vending machine.  He was get iing his drink when BOOOM.  An explosion was heard and he ran back to the plaza and it was complete chaos with inklings screaming and running.  James looked and around and saw the trouble makers. They where octarians and to be more specific octolings.  James then ran up to one of the octolings and punched his lights out, grabbed his Octoshot and started fighting back at the octolings.  They tried to kill him but he was not wearing his suit so he was invincible.  He was fighting hard when he heard ”get your hands off me you scrub,". He looked and saw one of the octolings taking Sophia.  "SOPHIA". James yelled Sophia looked over and saw them, but then they went into a kettle and the rest of the octolings fell back.  He went to find Callie and Marie to tell them what happened.  He found them sitting down on a bench.  " hey those things whatever they were took Sophia,". When the two heard what he said they started crying"this is all our fault " the two then explained how Sophia was aka agent 3 who defeated the octarians and saved the great zapfish. After the story was done James could only think of what was going to happen, torture for what she did, or worse killed.  "AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHNNHNHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH" James screamed. Carter and vee then arrived.  "How are we going to save her?" Vee asked. "Were going to take the fight to the octarians and destroy them and find Sophia.  All of you suit up grab lots of supplies and be back here in a hour.  After that we will head to Octo valley and find Sophia no matter how long it takes,".  An hour later everybody was back there with there gear ready to fight the octarians.  They walked up to the kettle that would talk them to Octo valley Callie and Marie went first then Carter and vee.  Just before James went he took a good look around inkopolis, as he did not no when he would be back.  He then shifted into squid form and the kettle sent him to Octo valley. //-------------------------------------------------------// The journey //-------------------------------------------------------// The journey It was dark for a few seconds as the kettle rushed James to octo valley.   He then emerged a couple seconds later and saw the group right there waiting for him.  "All right, our first objective is to find a octarian camp.  They will most likely know where Sophia is, and the sooner we find Sophia the better,". James said.  "There is an oil derrick not to far from here.  Its pretty tall and we can get a good vantige point from it.  Its this way" Marie said.  The group then started walking towards the oil derrick.  Along the way Callie asked "James science we have  time can you tell us what life was like for you?". "Sure I geuss.  I originally lived in flower mound Texas with my two sisters and my parents.  I was in the 8th grade at shadow ridge middle school.  I loved playing video games all the time, even when I wasn't suppose to.  I also lived in a time of world chaos.  Nowhere in the world was safe as you could get killed anywhere," "wait humans killed each other," " yeah we had 2 wars where it was literally then entire world fighting in a war which was WWI and WWII.  Also unlike turf wars there is no respawn.  People get shot all the time, and millions of children are orphans.  And there was so much political unrest and fighting.  Anyway in about 2014 ocean levels started risk tremendously, and scientist thought it was end of the world.  My parents wanting to keep me safe bought me a pod which would float out to the oceanc and put my in cryostasis until the sea levels had come back down.  One day came that it was time for me to hop in and I hugged them all right before the pod left out to sea and then they were gone, and then we come to now.  I've already lost my family and I'll be damned if I lose somebody else,". James said.  The group just stayed silent for a moment to take in what James had just said.  "Look were here," vee said.  They looked at the tower now in front of them.  "Vee science you have the scope you should climb up and look around," Callie said.  " I would, but do you realize how heavy this thing is.  I would probably fall and go SPLAT!" James then grabbed Vee's scope of the e-liter and then started climbing at an amazing pace.  Once he got to the top he used the scope to look around and see where the camp was.  He then spotted figures heading towards the mountains and zoomed in and sure enough it was the octarians.  After he climbed back down and gave vee back the scope he said "Alright, there is a octarian company to the north of us heading towards the mountains.  That's where we are heading," the group then started running to the north. The group was being very quiet as the octarians were so close they could here them. "Did you hear about the one thing?" One asked. "Yeah I was there it was like tottaly invincible to our ink," the other one said. "QUIET YOU MORONS" a third one said "for all you know he could be close by right now, hearing what you're saying.  All you have to do is keep your mouths shut.  Now that we have the inkling that stopped DJ octavio before we can't lose, plus she's being tortured as we speak, so she will be in no condition to stop us,". Hearing this made James fill with rage. He pulled out the octoshot he had and jumped down onto the two screaming.  The other realized what happened and jumped into the action as well.  James first got the two octolings that he jumped on and sytimatticly went through the base getting everyone.  Callie was shooting at the octolings when she was hit by an octobrush. Whiched nocked her back.  He was about to finish her when James came up and stopped him from slaming the inkbrush on Callie.  He then shot the octoling killing him.  Once they had cleared the base they started looking for where Sophia might be held, when they heard a crash.  They went outside and saw an octolings running away.  James ran up to him and tackled him and tied him up.  "The inkling you captured,where is she? James asked.  " ii don't know what your talking about, " the octoling said.  James picked up his octoshot and said "plan b then," "WAITWAITWAITWAIT," the octoling said holding his arms in front of him.  "All I know is that the girl is at our main base of operations in the mountains.  They want to see her suffer for what she did to us." James nodded guess were heading to the mountains then and the group left to save sophia. Blood was on the floor and the walls. "Are you ready to apologize?" An octoling said. "Never you frickin retard," Sophia said.  "Suit yourself,". The octolings then pressed a button which electrocuted Sophia causing her to scream. //-------------------------------------------------------// DJ octavio //-------------------------------------------------------// DJ octavio After walking about 30 minutes the group saw a compound with bright lights in the distance.  Vee then used her e liter scope to look st it.  "They have that place locked down tight. I count at least 40 octolings in front alone.  I can't imagine what its like inside the compound.  I do see a way in though.  Farther to the right there is a access door only guarded by 2 octolings,". Vee said.  " alright then that is our point of entry,  move out everybody,". James said.  The two octolings were just standing gaurd at the door, minding there own bisnuss when James snuck up behind them and shot them.  He then waved the group and they silently snuck in the base. They were slowly making their way through the base, when a alarm sounded.  "Well they now where here now, ATTACK" James said, and they group started running through the base, splatting any octolings they saw along they way. They were making good progress when James saw a sing for the cells.  "This way," James said, and they started running towards the cells.  Once they got to the prison cells they started going through them one by one.  In the last one door James opened he saw a octoling and Sophia.  After shooting the octoling, James walked up to Sophia and shook her gently. "Hey, Sophia don't worry we are here," "James is that really you?" "Yes" it's me" Sophia started crying "I was so worried that you would never find me,".  James untied her from the chair.  " wait before we go I overheard one of the scientists talking about a new weapon that they were going to attack inkopolis, I say we give them a little going away present and destroy it, I heard its in the labs," the rest of group agreed. They got to the labs and looked for the weapon.  A couple minutes later they found a door that said "ultamite weapon" and eneterd it.  There was originally nothing there just a circle platform.  The group was about to leave , when a clicking noise was heard. Suddenly Callie, Marie, Sophia, vee, and carter were all in cages.  James looked around when a laughing was heard. James turned around and saw a docter standing at the other end of the platform. "Let them go," James demanded. "Or what?" Said the docter smiling.  "You may be wondering what our weapon is and I can tell you that not even this human can stop it, BEHOLD," the docter then pressed a button and big tube began to rise from the floor.  When James looked inside he saw something he thought he should never see again.  "How did you get that human body?" James asked. "Our scouts found it one day," " well it doesn't matter science he is dead," "oh on the contrary he is very much alive.  You see after our last defeat, we found our leader DJ octavio essentially dead, but his concions on the other hand was very much alive. We then decided to inject the human body with octarian DNA making it part human part octarian.  We then transferred octavios conscience to this body, and now its time to wake him," the docter said..  He then pressed a different button and the tube opened. At first nothing happend,but a few seconds later something could be heard moving, and a couple seconds after the body came out.  "I like this new body," said DJ octavio. "Surrender now and I'll kill you nice and easy," "you think that you can stop me," "well I can't be splatted and you can't be splatted so were at a stand still," " ah but we can still fight to the death with our hands,". The platform began to rise in the air, and once it stopped they were high in the air. "Are you ready?" Octavio asked.  James awnserd by running toward octavio. Octavio began to do the same.  The ran at each other and began with a jump kick wihach was cancelled out.  Octavio threw a punch, but James managed to block it.  James then attempted for a kick, but octavio managed to doge his kick.  James then got a punch and a kick on octavio.  This caused octavio to get very angry, and he ran at James punched him in the face, grabbed one of his arms and dislocated it, and low swept causing James to fall to the ground.  "JAMES" Sophia cried.  James couldn't awnserd back as he was in lots of pain.  "Any last words human, before I make your spesices exint," octavio.  "Come James get up," Callie said " yeah bro we've fought people just like this, and this fight is no different," carter said "yeah you can beat this joker," Marie said " you got this," vee said " James I know you can do this ever since I saw the determination in your eyes the day we played turf wars.  Plus I've loved you ever since the day I saw you, so do it for me." Sophia said.  James slowly got up and relocated his arm "try all you may you'll never defeat me that way," octavio said. "I know, that's why I'm not," James said.  He then pulled out the octoshot and shot DJ octavio in the eyes causing him to be blind and scream.  Jame then ran up to octavio and punched him in the face, dislocated his arm, and broke his leg, then to kill octavio ran up and snapped his neck. And to finish the job he picked up octavio and threw him of the platform.  James then ran over and pressed the button to free his friends.  Once they were free James went over to Sophia and asked " so you really love me?" "Yes". James then kissed her on the lips.  The inkling took it as a surprise but it was welcomed.  The two finished and then James gave a expression of pain " sorry but my arm isn't doing to well, and I want to destroy this base once and for all," the group then left for the control room, and one they got there they set a self destruct timer for 5 minutes.  They then got a safe distance distance away and watched the magic happen.  After it was done they started heading back to the kettle to return home. //-------------------------------------------------------// What's next //-------------------------------------------------------// What's next Once thse group got back to inkopolis they immediately took James to the hospital to have him checked out by a docter.  The docters saw him walk and immediately got him to an examination room for processing. They also saw Sophia and immediately took her to be examined as well.  The group sat out there waiting for the docter to come back.  While waiting Callie asked "did you see them kiss?" "Yeah," Marie said "they seem to love each other a lot, and their love for each other is obvious, even if they don't say it is," just then the docter came back.  "Are you here for James and Sophia?" He asked.  "Yes" Callie said.  The docter then noded and the group followed him to the room Sophia and James were in.  "How are they doing doc?" Callie asked.  "James has a damaged shoulder socket, a bruised leg, and bruised ribs.  Sophia has several cuts, and has been electrocuted.  They are both very lucky to be alive, and glad to see you," he said.  They walks into the room and Marie asked " how you doing young lovers?".  James responded with "I've been in worse situations before," and Sophia said "I've got use to this hospital,".  The group stayed awhile and checked their comrades to make sure they didn't need anything from them.  The stayed until the docter told them they had to go.  They all said bye and that they would see be back tommorow.  After they were all gone James said, " Sophia about the kiss earlier. I'm sorry if if was not wanted," "don't worry James it was more than welcomed," Sophia said.  They sat thier in scilence when James asked "want to hear another song?" "Why?" James asked coking an eyebrow.  " because I'm afraid, all I can think about is the tourture I was put through at the octarian base, but if you are not comfortable I won't make you," James sat for a moment before saying "yes, come on over here,".  Sophia then got out of her bed and walked over as fast as she could, hopped in, and got under the covers. The two then closed thier eyes, with Sophia smileling Callie woke up the next morning, and stretched her arms, and yawned.  It was a beautiful day in inkopolis city.  After getting changed and having some breakfast, Callie went to the hospital to check on James and Sophia.  She walked in the hospital, singed in, and went to thier room.  When she got in thier the first thing she saw was Sophia and James in the same bed together.  She couldn't help but laughing at this, and taking a picture on her squid iPhone.  Realizing the two had a long day yesterday, Callie let the two sleep in for another 30 minutes.  After 30 minutes she woke them up, which was a bad idea on her part.  James immediately jumped up like he was going to fight. " I'LL DEFEAT YOU CRIMINAL SCUM!!!" James yelled causing Callie to scream, and ink herself (the equivalent of peeing your pants).   Sophia slowly opened her eyes after all the jumping and screaming.  "Look what you made me do.  This hasent happened since I was a little squid," Callie said. "What's going on?" Sophia asked groggily.  "James made me ink myself, and why are you so jumpy anyway?" " Hmm let's think of recent events that might have contributed to this like you getting kidnapped, trying to commit suicide, Sophia getting kidnapped, finding out that my entire species is gone except for me, and ending up in this hospital about 4 times.  After those facts I conclude that is why I'm so jumpy," James said.  "Alright I will except that, but can you also explain why you and Sophia were in the same bed.  Were you two having se," "No Callie we were not having sex, we were in the same bed because," "he was doing it for me," Sophia said "I was super scared after what I had been put through, so I asked James if I could sleep with him, as it helps the nightmares go away,".  " oh,OK," Callie said.  Callie looked at her watch and said "sorry, but i have to go to the studio to do the news.  You guys going to be okay?" "Yeah," " alright, oh also don't be late we are having a party in the plaza at 8:00 to make up for what happend at the last one," " we will be there," James said.  Callie then waved bye and left the two. After the hospital had discharged them, the pair started walking towards the plaza for the party. "You should totally sing a song while your there," Sophia said "Mabey, mabey not," James said " come on people would just love your songs and singing voice," Sophia said. " even if I did, I would have to get permission from Callie and Marie since it is thier show not mine," The two kept on walking towards the plaza as they talked.  When they got there the plaza was bopping with dancing, food, and Callie and Marie singing thier hit song "calimari inktation".  They made thier way to the center of the plaza and started partying.  James got a group around him with his dance moves that everybody loved and tried to learn.  Once Callie and Marie were taking a break and James went back to join them (Callie had given them VIP passes before she left). "Hey you guys made it," Marie said "It's not everyday I get to show off my amazing dance moves," James said. "Only if you could show off your singing voice too,"  Sophia said smirkig. "Oooo, hey he could sing a couple songs while we are still " on break"," Callie said. "Uggg. Fine, do you have a place where I could plug this in?  It gives this music in the background," James said. "Yeah, well help you set everything up," Marie said After they had plugged in James phone and made sure Callie knew the right song to click.  Marie walked onstage with James. "How you doing tonight inkopolis?" Marie asked The crowed cheered when she asked. "Well we have a very special guest here tonight, and a personal friend of mine.  Meet James the human," Nobody clapped and there were some who's that in the audience. James then leaned over and said, " you may also know me as the new kid with the inkbrush," There were a lot of ooooo that kid, and then everybody clapped. Marie then took the mike back over and said "in addition to being an inkbrush legend, I have also heard he has a pretty good singing voice and I would like to hear him, so take it away James!" Marie then handed James the mike and behind the stage where Callie and Sophia were. "Well I hope you're all doing good tonight.  Now before I begin I'm just gonna say this music is different than anything you have ever heard, so prepare yourself and I hope you like it," James said. He then looked back at Callie and she hit the song she was suppose to, which was "pumped up kicks", and James started singing to it. "Thanks I'm glad you liked it," James said. He was waving at the audience when at least twenty crazy fan girls climbed up on the stage, and James ran off. Callie, Sophia and Marie were talking when James came running through screaming "CRAZY FANGIRL ALERT, MOVE!!" and ran right past him. They then looked the other detection and saw 20 carzy fangirls running this way.  They quickly moved to avoid being trampled. "Do you think parkour is one of his skills?" Callie asked "I hope so," Sophia said. "Man these fangirls are hard to dodge!" James thought to himself.  He was trying to avoid getting ripped apart.  He was jumping over walls and doing long jumps, but these fangirls seemed to have a lot of energy.  He finnaly found escape after jumping over a wall and sounding beneath the next one.  The fangirls looked for him for a couple minutes before thinking he must have run back to the street and ran back out there.  He was going to start walking out when he heard a voice say "Lookie what we got here mates," //-------------------------------------------------------// Spykes drug ring //-------------------------------------------------------// Spykes drug ring James slowly turned around to see who it was that was talking.  He saw several figures smoking, beer bottles on the ground, and bags filled most likely filled with cocaine. "Hey sorry to interrupt your fun, but I'll be on my way if you can just let me squezze my way through," James said "Hey what's the rush mate?" The tall spikey haired one asked. "Who are you, and what do you want?" James asked S "My name is spyke, and to put it simple your now part of my crew, grab him Derry," James was then knocked out from behind, and taken into the sewers When James woke up he was in a dimly lit room, with a small mat in the corner, and other than that not much.  Just then the door opened and spyke walked in with a case of some sort, and a bottle of beer. "Don't worry love, this is just a little " iincentive" to help you want to stay," James tried to move but then found that his arms were tied to the chair.  Spyke then stabbed him with the needle, and injected him with what James guessed was drugs.  He then got the beer bottle out and opened it, untied one of James arms and told him to drink it.  When James refused he said "Look we can either do it this way, or the way that involves using a funnel to, but your going to drinknit either way," James sat for a sec then started drinking the bottle.  It was not the best tasting thing in the universe, but he would rather drink it himself than have to use the funnlle to get it.  Once he was done spyke said " better get some sleep love.  Tommorow is a big day," he then left the room and locked the door.  James then went over to the mat and cried himself to sleep. James woke up that morning and felt strangely very good.  He also saw that spyke wasn't a bad guy at all, but just a small street what he had to do to survive.  The door opened and somebody other than spyke walked in. "I'm Darry, and I'm just here to give you your medecin," he said. James immediately knew what this meant and held out his arm so Carry could administer the shot.  Garry looking surprised nonetheless pulled out the needle and gave James the shot. "Come on thebboss is waiting," carry said. He then helped James walk to where spyke was which was smoking with some of the other guys. "How is he doing?" Spyke asked. "The medicine is working like a charm," Darry said. Spyke then looked down at James and said "alright kid, today is a big day for you as today is the day you become a pickpocket," "Where do I start?" James asked Sophia was just walking up that morning.  Man those fangirls were crazy she thought to herself.  She had barley had time to move out of the way before she was trampled to death.  Speaking of fangirls where was James she thought to herself.  He had run right past them and probably ditched the fangirls at some point.  Sophia then called Callie to see if she knew where he was. "Hey Callie is James at your place?" She asked "No he's not over here," Callie responded. "Alright thanks," Sophia said She then ended the call and tried carter and vee to see if he was at either of thier places, but to no avail James was not there either.  Now Sophia started to panic, as she didn't know where James was.  Where could he be. Meanwhile James was in an alley practicing pickpocketing with Spyke and was getting the hang of it. "Now one more time," Spyke said. He pretended to be a normal person walking down the street and James was suppose to pickpocket him. When he didn't feel anything he turned around and saw James holding a wallet that was in spykes pocket. "You're ready for your first assignment," Spyke said. "Now I want you to steal her wallet," Spyke said pointing to a green inkling girl "Alright, I'm going to make you proud spyke," James said and then went off to pickpocket. James just casually walked by took her wallet.  She obviously did not know her wallet had been stolen and he returned to Spyke "Here is your wallet," James said while handing the wallet to Spyke. "Good job, I'm proud of you James," Spyke said as he took the wallet. "Now lets get back home," spyke said and they returned to the sewer lair. Sophia was walking to where Judd slept.  She was worried as James wasn't accepting her calls, and nobody knew where he was.  She was going to Judd because he heard a lot of things in the criminal are. "Hey Judd," "Sophia what can I pawsobbly do for you today?" "This is a friend of mine," Sophia said holding a picture of James "and he has been missing for a while now, and I want you to check with your contacts and see if you can find him, please," "I'll do everything I can," Judd said. Sophia thanked him and then left. Back at spykes lair, James was waiting for spyke to give him more "medicine" as his head was hurting and spyke said he needed more to fix it. After giving James some more, he took James to the kitchen for some beer.  As they walked in one of the goons said "Oy what's this little scrub doing here?" "I could take you any day," James said And to prove that he ran upsnd punched him in the face, knocking him out. "Now if anybody else wants to challenge me speak up, other wise pass me a beer," Darry passed one to him and he opened it up and started drinking it, and eventually ended up drunk like everybody else.  Spyke could then see he was tired and took him to his room.  He did not want to admit it, but he was actually getting attached to the kid.  After doing another syringe he put he put him to bed. //-------------------------------------------------------// Drunk and high //-------------------------------------------------------// Drunk and high Sophia couldn't sleep all night.  She kept thinking about James and wondering where he could be in inkopolis. She got up and went for a run to help get her mind off of it.  She then started thinking of how they had met.  She had been walking through inkopolis one day, having a good day, and wanted to go to the store, so she took a shortcut through an alley.  She was walking through when she kicked a can and heard a gasp.  She looked up to see something standing there.  She got a look at it and it obviously wasn't an inkling, but it wasn't an octarian either.  Whatever it was looked very frightened, and she could tell was bleeding.  She wanted to walk towards it and help.  As she started to it tried to run, but ended up falling due to injuries.  She then thought should I let this thing die, but thought about how she would have felt if the sisters had left her, and she then went up to it and picked it up and ran towards the studio. James on the other hand had slept through the night mostly okay.  He woke up in the morning and his stomach hurt. "Spyke" James yelled. Spyke came in "what you need," "My stomach hurts," James said "You probably need some more medicine.  Stay here while I get some," spyke said. He came back a couple minutes later with the syringe and gave the injection to James. "Come on kiddo, we have a lot of pockets to pick today," spyke said "Coming," James said. They then left the sewer lair and went to the surface to start picking pockets.  James was getting a good run and so far he had gotten a wallet, credit card, and stolen some gear.  It was going good till he tried to pickpocket a blue inkling boy but the boy noticed him and gave chase to James.  James started running through the crowd shoving people as he went to get away, but the boy stayed on him.  James then let the boy get a little bet closer, stopped turned around and punched him in the face causing him to fall.  He then used the distraction to run into the alley.  He then met back up with spyke. "How did you do kid?" Spyke asked "Pretty good I got a couple wallets, a credit card, and some gear off of people.  One boy saw me, but I took care of him," James said. "Nice job kid, but we better get out of here before anybody see us," Spyke said. Right after James left the surface Sophia came by to see what had happend to the boy. "What did he look like?" Sophia asked. "I don't know, but he definetly was not an inkling that's for sure," the boy said. Sophia was walking to Judd's place as he said he had some information on where James was.  She got there and asked "Do you know where James is?" "Yes I do," juud said. "Where then?" Sophias asked "I asked a friend of a friend and apparently your friend is with spyke," Judd said. " well, crap," Sophia said. " spyke is not very good.  He is a known thief, and he has a new accomplice," Judd said "That must have been who that inkling was talking about earlier," Sophia said "where is spyke?" "Spyke lives in the sewers near the ally close to the octo valley kettle," Judd respond Sophia once again thanked Judd and left to go get James. The group consisting of Callie, Marie, and Sophia were all standing at the grate for the sewers to spykes lair. "Do we really have to go down there," marie said. "Yeah this is where spyke is, and inevitably James," Sophia said. She then took of the grate cover and the three jumped down the hole into the sewer. Callie grossed out at it. "Come on spykes lair is this way," Sophia said The group then followed her as they navigated thier way through the sewer.  As they were navigating they started to hear laughter and followed it, and came derectly to spykes lair.  They took out the guards at the front and eventually found spyke and his cronies sitting at a table. "Well, looks like we got some royals here mates," spyke said. "Where is James?" Sophia asked. "James!!" Spyke yelled. They looked over and saw James walking in, or better stumbling in and they could see a beer bottle in his right hand. "What buddy?" James asked in a drunken state. "Are these your friends?" Spyke asked James drunkily turned around to see Callie Marie and Sophia "Hey guys," was all he managed to get out before he fell on the floor. "What did you do to him?" Callie asked. "Nothing, except inject him with drugs that alter his brain function, and make him high," spyke said. "And good lord you let him drink,  WHAT WERE YOU THINKING!" Callie said. "Hey he said he was okay with it, right James?" Spyke asked. "Frick yeah I did," James said in his drunk and high state. "Anyway, were here to take him home," Sophia said. "James do you want to go back with them?" Spyke asked. "No, I like it here, I got you, the guys, and free beer," James said still drunk. "Alright case closed he doesn't want to come back so get lost," spyke said. " were not leaving without him," Marie said. "I'm doing what is best for him.  I'm giving him a life," spyke said "A life where he is drunk, high, and likely going to end up behind bars.  If you really care about him you'll give him to us," Callie said. Spyke thought for a moment.  This is how I started off he thought.  He became a criminal because his dad gave him beer, and had him pickpocketing.  He had originally wanted to be a shoe designer, but his dad had him take the criminal route.  He was about to do the same thing to James. "Alright, James can go back," spyke said. "No spyke llease, don't make me leave.  I'll do anything, ANYTHING just don't let them take me away, PLEASE," James said. James wouldn't let go, until Derry finally came up behind him and knocked him out. "I'll come with you, if he wakes up he's goin to need a familiar face, or he'll just run back here, and we don't want that," Darry said. Sophia nodded and Darry picked James up and started walking back to the surface to take James home.  Once they got to the surface callie had James and Darry get in the car, and she drove back.  About halfway James woke up w little bit. "Hey Darry, is that you," James asked. "Yeah kid, were taking you home, to where you belong," Darry said. "No man, spyke said he was gonna get me dinner," James said. "Hey, how about I cook dinner tonight, would burgers be okay?" Callie asked "Yeah I'm okay with that.  Darry got any beer, buddy?" James asked. "No buddy, you're to young to be drinking anyway," Darry said "Yeah James since your 16 your to young to be drinking beer," Callie said. "But I'm not 16, I'm only 13," James said. "Wait, your not 16, but you look 16, and Sophia is 16 and your the same height," Callie said. "All humans are about this tall at 13," James said "Great, we have been giving beer to 13 year old, and injecting him with drugs," darry said. "Shouldn't he be in school learning about turf wars n stuff," Darry said. "I guess, but why send him to a place where he doesn't need to be, I mean in the past week James is already level 50, and achieved s rank, so why have him to school to learn if he dissent need to, plus I'm afraid if some kid was a bully, they would end up in a hospital," Callie said. "Darry" James said "What kiddo?" Darry said. "My stomach hurts, you got any medicine?" James asked. "Yeah give me a second," darry said. Darry pulled out the needle and gave James the injection. "There you go kiddo, all better," Darry said. "Thanks Darry," James said. "You realize you shouldn't be giving him more drugs," Callie said. "Yeah, but if I just stop he'll go into withdraw, and that's not good," Darry said. Just then the car pulled up into Callie's home and Darry carried James inside.  Before he left darry gave Callie a case and said "James doesn't need the injection, but he thinks he does.  These needles are not filled with the drug, but don't tell James that.  Slowly start letting him get off it.  After a good nights sleep his mind should be normal tomorrow," Darry said. Callie nodded and thanked him for coming with her and went inside. She found James throwing up in the bathroom.  Another reason not to drink she thought to herself. "Mabey we should skip dinner and just have you go straight to bed," Callie said. James yawned in response. Callie led him to the guest room and put him to sleep. James woke up and saw Callie, Marie, and Sophia standing around him. "Hey what's going on guys?" James asked. They didn't say anything, but started to make a evil smile. "G-guys," James said starting to get scared.  Sophia pulled out a knife, and suddenly Callie and Marie were holding his arms.  He struggled to get free, but they were to strong. "This is what you get for your sins," Sophia said. She then stabbed him with the knife, and the other two dropped him.  He felt his life slowly slipping away, and the three just laughed and slowly walked away.  On his last moments he heard James,James,James. "JAMES, JAMES, JAMES," Callie screamed. "DONT STAB ME PLEASE," James screamed. After he had calmed down a bit Callie said "I woke up and heard you crying, and when I came in you were shaking and I thought you were in big trouble.  What were you dreaming about anyway?" "I was in the middle of no where, and suddenly you three came up to me.  You and Marie grabbed my arms and held me, and then Sophia pulled out a knife said 'this is what you get for your sins' and stabbed me in the chests and then you three walked away laughing.  I know why, I've killed so many people, not just small creatures, but actual living people," James said. "Well I can say I've been there, and so has my grandpa.  He was in the great turf war long ago and he killed a lot of octarian, and saw a lot of good friends die in combat.  I've also killed a lot of octarians, its just something you have to get over," Callie said. "How?" James asked. "By remembering who your doing it for," Callie said. "Thanks that actually help out a lot.  I just hope I don't have another nightmare," James said. "Don't worry that's not going to happen," Callie said. Life had been hard for James.  You see this takes place in splatoon universe.  After his parents gave him a pod and sent him into the ocean just before the flood came in and destroyed almost everything and everyone on the planet.  Not long after that squids and octopi became the dominant species.  A few years later James emerged from his cryo tube in the pod to see everything he looted and knew gone.  He slowly made his way to inkopolis (he didn't know what it was even called).  And started living in the allies to avoid the inklings from seeing him.  He did not know how they would react to a human showing up. Today was a normal day in his life.  He had been in inkopolis for a couple weeks now.  His clothes were raggedy and torn.  He was always looting trough the trash looking for something good to eat or at least something somewhat edible.  He was also very bloody as he was cut by many things.  He was looking through the trash one day not knowing how he was going to survive as he was losing lots of blood when he suddenly heard a crash and looked to his right.  Standing right next to him was a inkling girl looking about the same age as him.  He tried to run but he just fainted and fell down.  The last thing he remeberd before blacking out was the girl picking him up and running as fast as she could.
