Sunless future
Early Dawn
Previous ChapterAs soon as Ruby said that he ran out of the hole and mere moments later he came back with a team of four diamond dogs, which lifted me up and carried me behind Ruby and the professor.
As we finaly reached the exit I was momentary blinded by the many lights, that were lit around the cliff.
And then I saw, many metal contraptions, which were moving around the cliff.
These contraptions were unlike anything, that I had ever seen.
They seemed to move on some type of wheel, which was made from rubber and were loaded full with stone and ores.
"Alright! Load her up! But be carefull!" said the professor and some time after that I was strapped down with ropes and the team of diamond dogs sat themselves down next to me.
A short amount of time later the machine started to drive down the mountain path. I thought, that I should learn, of my surroundings and started to look at the path, that I could see, but no matter how hard I tried, I could not find anything on the path, that I knew from my past.
It took a long time, to exit the mountain path but when we did I was at a loss of words to describe the view, that I saw. In the distance I could see a giant city, which was made from glass and steel. Not to mention, that if was several times larger then Manehatten.
I could not believe what I saw, as we entered the city. Everywhere were towers made from various metals and sculptures made from glass. But no matter where I looked there were no trees or plants around.
This bothered me greatly, as I could not comprehend how they were able to breath in the city without plants to generate oxigen for them. But then again they could have come up with some new technology in my absence.
Some time later we arrived at a round building, where they unloaded me and placed me on a pedestal before covering me with some kind of cloth. From what I could gather the professor informed the press about his found while we were on our way.
It was not long before I started to hear noises, the press no doubt.
"I am pleased to announce to the world, that I, professor Williams have found a historic treasure unlike any other. This treasure predates even our oldest artifacts and you will be the first ones to see it. Reveal it!" said the professor proudly.
A short moment later the cloth is removed and I am assaulted by flashes from cameras and shouts from photographers.
The room I am in looks interesting.
I am in a white room with a glass ceiling. And in front of me is a crowd of reporters.
But what confuses me are the griffins in the back of the crowd. They seem to be carrying black rectangular boxes.
But I have no time to ponder it's purpose, as the professor started to speak again.
"This statue was found in a chamber deep under the canter mountain. And is 4900 years old!"
canter mountain? That must be what they call it today.
That makes sense. They are probably mining the crystals in the caves.
That reminds me! I must figure out the spell Sombra used to generate crystals.
But that can wait for later. I should be planning my future right about now.
What should I do in the future? And I can not forget that I am the last of an extinct species.
If I go at this logically this would be the best moment to break free of my imprisonment. Not only would I be released in such a public fashion, I would also instantly be approached by government figures.
To break free I will just have to release the magic in my magic core, which has only grown since my imprisonment, into the statue. Through this the thaumic pressure inside the statue will be unbalanced from the ambient thaumic pressure of the universe.
Which will force the spells and seals, that were placed by the elements, to absorb the ambient magic.
This will cause an underpressure outside of my prison and give me the edge I will need.
If I then can build up more thaumic pressure than the seals and spells I will be able to overpower them.
Outside of the statue nobody suspected a thing of the oncoming event. They were still asking the professor about the statue, when one of the reporters saw a crack appearing on the statue.
"Professor! There is a crack in the statue!" shouted the reporter.
"What!? Everybody step away from the statue. It could crash down any minute."replied the professor, while everyone backed away from the statue.
A short amount of time later more cracks began to appear. They became more and more, till the statue was riddled with cracks.
"Professor! What is happening?" asked a reporter.
"I have no Idea about what is happening!" answered the professor.
Crack
With that sound the statue was blown apart.
Splitters flew everywhere and the crowd had to shield their eyes.
When they looked again they were speechless.
In front of them stood the pony goddess!
As the dust cleared and I could see again I stood in front of the reporters and the professor.
They were a mixture of griffins and diamond dogs.
This surprised me greatly, because that would mean that the other magic species vanished with my little ponys.
But I should think about that later. Right now I have to make a good first impression.
So I spread my wings, put on my most graceful pose and started speaking.
"Greetings! I am Princess Celestia of Equestria.
And I must thank you for freeing my from my prison under the mountain."
After I spoke they were still speechless.
So I waited for some minutes and when they still did not move I said to them:
"I am not getting younger you know."
And that seemed to wake them from their shock.
Author's Note
Hope you like it.
I changed the time from 42.000 to 4900 years, that Celestia spent as a statue.
