The Knight of Chaos

Neo hit the ground so hard that everything instantly went black.

Meanwhile...

Princess Twilight Sparkle was walking through the small town of Ponyville. Though the town was small, all the big stuff seemed to happen there. Twilight Sparkle was happily walking down the streets of Ponyville, to her right was her student Starlight Glimmer, who also was in a rather cheery mood. The two mares had had a rather rough day, and were looking forward to a well deserved rest.

But, luck wasn't on their side as the mares looked up to see, something falling from the sky, they didn't get a very good look at it because it was falling rather quickly. The object, whatever it was hit... no, hit's an understatement, this thing seemed to have decided to body slam the ground. And when it hit, the ground shook. It shook so badly, that the ponies feared that the ground would crumble beneath them. Everypony was in a state of fear-feuled panic.

Suddenly, a massive wave of pure raw energy blasted through the town somehow temporarily cutting off the unicorns' and alicorns' magic, and giving everypony a boost in strength, and speed. Once the weird power surge was over, and the ponies were back to normal, Twilight and Starlight went to check out the weird object that fell. They searched and searched, but couldn't find any sign of it.

Starlight Glimmer looked at Twilight and said, "You know, you'd think that something like that would be easy to find."

Twilight Sparkle giggles, "I know right. But we need tooo fffiiii..."

Twilight trailed off. She had walked through some fallen trees mid sentence and saw lying there in the center was a creature that could very well be the very definition of strange. Starlight trotted up and took one look at the creature. The first question that popped out of Starlight's mouth was, "Dafuq is that?"

Twilight put her ear up to its chest and gasped. It had a crazy heartbeat. Almost as if two hearts were beating inside its chest. She looked at Starlight.

Twilight, with a concerned yet stern tone, said, "This thing has a seriously weird heartbeat. We need to get this... whatever it is, to Fluttershy's quickly."

Starlight cocked an eyebrow. "How is Fluttershy going to help? This thing definitely isn't from Equestria. Twilight, I don't even think that it's from this planet."

Twilight sighed, "I don't know, Starlight, and you might be right about it being an alien, but it's unconscious at the moment, and I know Fluttershy will do whatever she can to help this thing, whatever it is."

About thirty minutes later, the two mares got to Fluttershy's cottage. They had to physically carry the creature there. They weren't sure how, but this animal was completely immune to magic. Twilight knocked on Fluttershy's door. Fluttershy came to the door, opened it, took one look at the unconscious creature her friends were carrying, and gasped.

Fluttershy was in a state of minor shock, "Oh my goodness. What happened to him?"

Twilight and Starlight looked at each other, at the creature, at each other again, then at Fluttershy.

"How do you know it's a 'him'?", Twilight asked.

"Simple really.", was Fluttershy's really simple response.

Starlight had a whimsical look on her face. "What do mean, Fluttershy?"

Fluttershy smiled. She was happy to tell her friends about animals. "His bodily structure. It's not a feminine shape, it's more of a masculine build. Plus, I just know. And he seems to somewhat resemble a hedgehog, but he's about as tall as a pony. What exactly happened to him to knock him unconscious, if you don't mind me asking?"

Twilight was the first to respond. "He fell from the sky, falling faster than Rainbow Dash can fly."

Starlight nodded, "You didn't feel the tremors from his impact?"

"Or the massive energy wave that followed?", Twilight added.

Fluttershy was surprised. "You mean, all that extra strength and speed I had a little while ago... came from him?" She points at the creature.

Twilight nods. "But, that's not what's worrying me, what's worrying me is the fact that the energy wave temporarily cut off all of our magic. And our magic has no effect on him, almost as if he's immune to it.

Fluttershy looked at him. Her composure became serious. "Bring him inside. I'll take care of him until he comes to."

Twilight and Starlight took the pony-sized hedgehog-like creature into Fluttershy's cottage, and carefully set him down on the couch.

After a brief conversation between the three friends, Twilight and Starlight went back to Castle Friendship. Twilight wrote a letter to Princess Celestia, telling her about the energy wave and about the creature,as well as asking if Canterlot had been effected the same way Ponyville was. Starlight went straight to bed, and as soon as she hit the bed, she was out like a light.

Back at Fluttershy's cottage, the creature stirred. Fluttershy looked at him. The creature sat up, and looked around. That's when he did something that actually didn't surprise her, it spoke, the creature was strange looking so, why not?

The creature looked around, "What happened?"

"You can talk? That's neat.", Fluttershy smiled.

The creature smirked, "Well I can do a lot of things."

Fluttershy, speaking in a calm, sweet voice, said, "You had a pretty nasty fall. You need to rest."

The creature chuckled, "Is that why it feels like I was hit by a train? Where am I? And who are you?"

Fluttershy smiled, "You're in Equestria. My name is Fluttershy, it's nice to meet you."

"Fluttershy? Huh?" He smiled.

Fluttershy, still smiling, said, "Mmhmm. Do you have a name?"

"Well of course I have a name." he smirked, "I'm Neo ,the Genetically Modified Hedgehog."
