A New World? It's just another boring, lonely day...I was walking outside to go to the bus stop. Just as I got to the curb I saw a penny-like object on the ground, but what's weird is it has Twilight's (my FAVORITE pony) cutie mark on it; I decide to pick it up and put it in my pocket, and when I did I was engulfed in a bright almost faded purple-white light. Naturally I closed my eyes, but I couldn't open them again...then silence. When I came to I was lying in a grassy field filled with...green grass? 'It's January and the grass isn't dead?!' I thought to myself. 'It's not even cold out here!' I thought as I got up and lifted my hand to feel the air. "Hey, the sound came from over there!" said a VERY familiar high-pitched voice. "Pinkie?" I asked myself as I looked at her and her friends coming to where I was standing. The orange one with a stetson noticed me standing there. "What in tarnation is that thing?!" She asked both scared and curious. "It looks to me as a human I saw in the other world, suppose it came from there?" Twilight asked while trotting up to me. "Why yes, yes I am, but I came from a slightly different place...anyone got any idea as to how I got here?" I say wanting her to go all nerd and science-y on me. "Hmmm....I don't know but you had gotten here somehow." she says thinking. 'maybe if I act like I don't know them, they'd be less suspicious...' I thought as I ask "Who are you anyway? My name's Ian, Ian Nebesa." I say as I start feeling REALLY dizzy and weak, thinking it's just from being transported to this new world, I push the feeling away. "I'm Twilight, this is Fluttershy, Applejack, Pinkie Pie, Rarity, and Rainbow Dash! They are my friends!" She says proudly. Just as I was about to say something, I passed out on the ground, the girls gasped. "Quick, we need to get him to the hospital!" Twilight says and she lifts me up with her magic. [2 and a half hours later] "Ugh...T-Twilight? What h-happened?" I say still weak from...whatever caused me to go unconscious. "You were about to say something when you just...fainted, I really hope you're okay! You just started staring and your eyes rolled in the back of your head and I though you had died! You really gave us quite the scare!" She said, tears streaming down her cheeks obviously scared to death that her new friend almost died. "I-I'm fine...It's just that my head...it hurts like hell!" I cursed, trying to figure out as to why the hell this happened to me. "Here lemme fix that headache, it's the least I can do." she says, sniffling as she puts her horn on my forehead and activates her magic. "There! Here in about an hour you should start feeling a little better!" She says, calming down. 'Man, I hope I'm okay...I'm glad Twilight is such a good friend, just wish I could tell her how I feel, but we just met and telling her something like that would probably freak her out and drive her away.... ' I thought, making me kind of depressed...luckily nopony noticed. After a few minutes of being isolated in a hospital bed getting tests, Nurse RedHeart decides to let me go. "Man tonight's gonna SUCK!" I said as I remembered I have nowhere to sleep tonight! "Whatever is the matter, darling?" Rarity asked in a slightly puzzled tone. "I have nowhere to sleep tonight..." I sigh as I watched some bird flutter about. "Well...you could always stay in the castle if you want...we have a guest bedroom." Twilight asked in a soft, timid tone. "Wait...you're saying you would let me stay with you?! I...I-I couldn't do that, I don't want to be a burden! Besides I would only get in the way...I'm not all that helpful when it comes to people..or in this case ponies..." I said trying to have some self-respect with a hint of sadness. "C'mon please, I'd feel TERRIBLE if I were to just leave you out here all by yourself, besides we're friends and that's what friends do, so please, I insist!" She said making a cute begging face. 'D'awww! How could I possibly saw no to that?!' I thought as I was being afffected by her adorkableness. "FINE...you win, I'll stay with you, just DON'T wake me up before 5:00AM...I get EXTREMELY pissy and grouchy at that time." I say defeated as she squees. "Oh Thankyouthankyouthankyou! This means so much to me, I haven't been able to talk to anypony recently, they've been so busy lately, and with my friend/assistant, Spike in the Crystal Empire I'm normally alone in the castle, besides the ocasional visit/dinners with the Princesses... Oh speaking of princesses, I bet they would LOVE to meet you personally!" She said happily. "Oh, I don't know...." I said worried about what might happen if I meet with the princesses. God I hope I made this doesn't turn out badly, what if they think I'm disrespectful or think I'm some type of deadly monster, or worse, a changeling?! I hope I made the right choice, but if all else fails I can just escape in the everfree forest....hopefully... The Search The Search I looked at her quizzically. "Sombra?" I asked. "I'm sorry Twilight but I don't know who Sombra is...he sounds scary though!" I say, trying to picture what this pony looks like. She has a dark look on her face. "Sombra...Sombra is the one who took over and enslaved all the ponies that live here, not even love can cure his dark heart." She says in a low somber tone. I look over at her with a sad expression. "Twilight, I-I can't imagine what they must have went through...W-we should get going, they NEED us Twilight." I said not knowing what to do or say. `She just sits there staring at the glossy, reflective ground. "Twilight? C'mon babe we need to go!" I said trying to get her attention. "Huh? Oh...yeah, sorry! I got kinda lost in my thoughts." She said whilst blushing a little. "A-anyway, we should start looking for something that would lead us, or at least tell us where Sombra is or was!" She said in a slightly commanding, firm voice. I saluted, playing along. "Yes, ma'am!" I say trying to lighten things up a little. "Okay, so where should we look first?" I asked the purple princess. She looks around for a while, trying to get an idea of where Sombra could have went. After looking around for a while we decide to stop and eat, yet as luck follows all the restaurants and shops are closed due to the 'predicament' at hand. so in stead we decide to fly back to Ponyville for today, and continue the search tomorrow. As we landed near the castle, we decided to invite Princess Celestia and Luna. Twilight sent the letter and said "I'll go prepare the food, please set the table, dear...Oh and make it quick, they'll be here in an hour!" with a firm, yet loving voice. I nod and go to do my job, but as I walk into the dining hall all I can do is be in awe. The room is like the castle; crystal, but the decor and the scale of it (approx. the size of the dining hall in Harry Potter). I shake it off, and tend to my duty. ~~~~~ "Okay Twilight, I'm done!" I called as I walk out of the humongous dining hall. "Okay, can you help me with the daisy salads?" she says cheerfully, probably fake; knowing that her sister-in-law and her brother are pony-napped. "No problem, babe!" I say as I kiss her on the cheek. "Man, what a day...I hope we find them, and soon! I REALLY want to meet their daughter....what was her name?" I asked trying to remember the name of the newer princess. "Princess Flurry Heart , but I'm pretty sure she'll let you call her Flurry Heart." She said semi-cheerfully. "Okay...oh, if he took them couldn't you just track them using magic or something?" I asked quizzically. "Well I guess I could but, it's going to be difficult to do so...but I'll try." she said with dullness in her eyes. She closed her eyes and lit up her horn and concentrated as bard as she possibly could. "I feel something!" she says happily. "I-I can sense them, but faintly." she said, trying to figure out how to make the spell even more powerful. "C'mon, we need to meet princesses half way!" she said as she ran off with new determination and spirit. "W-wait what? Why?!" I said in exhaustion from trying to catch up with her. I stopped, only to find that she teleported me to where we were meeting them. "You silly boy! We need to meet them here, so we can tell them that we found out how to track them, and Sombra!" She said delighted, never before have I seen her so determined. (besides when Tirek was trying to rule...) "Okay if you insist..." I say a little questionable about her enthusiasm. I sat down and put my arm around her body, as she put her wing around me. "Twilight, if anything happens, I just want to say that I love you so much, I'm so, SO glad that we met each other, it helps me...cope with my last relationship..." I said in a sad, dark tone. "Oh? What happened?" She asked curiously. I'm pretty sure, given the situation, she doesn't want to hear the story...not now at least.... "I'll tell you after this whole mess is behind us, okay?" I said smiling, pecking her on the cheek. "Okay!" She said smiling, as the princesses came and landed in front of us. "Oh! Hi Princess Celestia, Luna!" She said as she gave them both hugs. "I'm glad you responded as quickly as you could!" She said smiling. "Of course, my little pony, especially if you have a way to find them!" She said gladly, but that smile soon turned as she looked at the ground furrowing her brows. "We need to eliminate Sombra, for good this time...I know it's going to be a hard task Twilight, but we NEED to do this." Celestia said with a hint of hatred, and also fear. "Surely we can do this a more peaceful--" Celestia cut me off. "I am truly sorry, my dear Ian...but that's not possible! He had his thousand chances, more than enough to reform himself, or have help getting reformed...but no, he decided to try to over rule the Crystal Empire, AND take Flurry Heart." Thanks~<3 Submission ~Somewhere in Equestria~ I just started to wake up, and my head hurt like hell! As I got up from the cold..stone...floor? "Wh-where am I? Wait, where's mom and dad?!" I said scared and confused. "Mom?! Dad?! Anypony?!" I cried out, hoping for answer back...nothing, not a damn sound, the only sound is of my voice echoing off the large stone walls. As I looked around all I see is a dark, dank, and murky cave, no opening just an enclosed cave-like structure. Then I saw four tunnel openings. "Hello?! Anypony in there?" I yelled down them, yet no response. "Hello, my child, you're finally awake! Your parents aren't here, they are locked away in this cave." said a mysterious voice out of nowhere, yet everywhere. I looked up, and backed up into the wall. "Who are you? Where are you?" I said frantically, if I can talk to this pony I can probably get out of here. If they can hear me, maybe there are others. The voice laughed. "You ask to many questions, young princess." The voice said sternly. "You can't see me because my body was destroyed in a terrible accident, you don't mind if I use yours, do you?!" He laughed as he took over my body, all I could do is watch in horror as my spirit was pulled out of my body. "NO! Get out of my body!" I screamed as I watched the shadow-like spirit take over my body. "Just who do you think you are?! That is MY body!" I cried as I bolted towards my body, but all I saw was a white flash and an empty room. "NO! COME BACK!" I yelled at the top of my lungs....nothing. ~Ponyville~ We ran to the train station and into the train, telling the conductor our destination as we rushed to a seat. "Listen Twilight...I thought that you didn't kill ponies!" I said terrified. She looked at me with sorrowful eyes. "We do this only in DIRE situations..." She said with a somber, low-tone. She looked down, and closed her eyes. "Why her?!" She screamed with anger and sadness, slamming her hoof down on the hard wood floor of the train, putting a slight dent in it. "Why out of all the ponies in Equestria, why Flurry Heart?! And why Shinning and Cadence?!" she screamed tears pouring down her cheeks. I have never seen her like this before. In my time of being here, I have NEVER seen her like this! "Twilight, baby, it's okay! We'll get them back, I promise!" I say as I kiss her and look her in the eyes. "I swear on my life that we will get them back...do you trust me?" I ask softly, holding her soft, light hooves. She looks at me with a twinkle in her eyes, as I wipe her tears away. "Of course I do!" She said with a sniffle, and broken voice. "I will ALWAYS trust you because I love you!" She said as she flung her arms and wings around me in a loving embrace. I hugged her back, and said "I love you, too!" with a warm smile. "ATTENTION ALL PASSENGERS, WE WILL BE ARRIVING AT THE CRYSTAL EMPIRE IN 10 MINUTES, THANK YOU." Said a voice on the trains PA system. "He does know there is only like five ponies on this huge train, right?" I say as she giggles a little. "Of course, silly! It's just his job to inform anypony that is on the train, even if there's like NOPONY on here!" She said with a giggle. 10 Minutes Later As we got to the train station, Twilight closes her eyes and activates her magic, and walks in a few directions. "Found her!" She says as she bolts towards the other end of town. I have never seen Twilight run so fast! "Hey! Wait up, Twi!" I said, rushing over to her. "Sorry, I got...kind of....excited!" She said between breaths. I just smiled and shook my head. She blushed and said "Okay! Let's keep going thi-" She was cut off. We heard "Aunt Twilight?!" As we hear this we turn around. We then see a light pink alicorn with semi-massive wings. "Flurry Heart?!" Twilight gasped as the the light pink alicorn ran towards us. "Thank goodness I found you! I was stuck in a cave, and my parents are still in there, and I heard this voice...it was so scary!" She cried, shaking in fear. "It's okay now honey! I'm here, you don't need to be afraid anymore...we'll get Shinning and Cadence out of there, I promise!" Twilight said in a motherly, warm tone. I watched as the light pink pony was crying into Twilight...something seemed...off, WAY off! What is this pony up to, and why does this seem off? I mean it's just Flurry Heart...right? It's a Trap!Today was very stressful, me and Twilight were trying to get back home with Flurry Heart, but as soon as we got back to the Crystal Empire but those gray crystals got bigger and somehow came after us! After a long ass battle with the franken-crystals, we took off running as fast as we could to the chariot and flew back to Ponyville. "Twilight...WHAT. THE HELL. WAS. THAT?!" I yell scared shitless. She looks at me and smiles. "Whatever that was, it's over now. But I'm pretty sure there is going to be more if we stick around and longer, let's go!" She said as she envelops me in her magic and teleports us to the train station. "Look whenever we get to Ponyville I need you to get Flurry Heart to the hospital ASAP, okay?" She says in a stern, serious tone. I nodded, as the train pulled in, we took our seats and talked to Flurry Heart about what happened. "So...Prin-" She cut me off. "Flurry Heart...is fine, please." She said gently. "So, Flurry Heart, what happened?" I ask as I clasp my hands together, listening. "Well...I was sitting in my quarters when I heard a scream coming from the throne room. I ran there as fast as I could! but that's when I saw Sombra taking my mother and father, he laughed and took me to a cave, separating me and my parents, I just recently got out." "Uh huh...so tell me, how did you get out just as Twilight finds a way to find you?" I said, with a stern serious look. "I just am finding it a little strange that you just appeared out of no where when we got to the Crystal Empire..."I said as I looked deep into her eyes. She looked back at me with an equally stern face. "Well..." she started. "I don't know how I got out or where I was, but the last thing I remember was a big flashing light, then I woke up in a cave!" She yelled, tears streaming down her face. "Mom and Dad are missing and here you are blaming me! You don't even know me, what place do you have to blame me?!" She screamed as she flew towards me trying to attack. I closed my eyes, preparing for the blow, yet I didn't feel anything. I opened my eyes to see a crying, pissed off teen Alicorn bashing on what looked like a shield. "He's my coltfriend, and why did you try to attack him?!" Twilight said, clearly pissed. "You could have killed him, his magic isn't strong enough to...wait...the Flurry Heart I know doesn't try to attack people in an argument..." Twi says, realizing something I should have when we saw her. "You're not Flurry Heart, are you?" twilight says in a low, almost growl. "Oh, please, do you really think that Celestia or Luna would do that? Besides, they face FAR worse than an apearence." she chuckled whilst shaking her head slightly. I start to feel a little calmer, especially since she's the one trying to convince me. "I don't know...probably! I mean I look like an overgrown hairless ape..." I say trying to calm down a little. "Listen, If I told the Princesses that you are friendly then they'll believe me. Do you trust me?" She said with a adorable buldgey-eyed look. "Of course I trust you! I'm just new to the whole meeting royalty thing, I guess." I say putting my FOX hat on and sighing. "Well, don't worry about it, besides I've already sent the letter an hour ago, so get ready...the chariot is going to--" a knock at the door cutting her off. "Oh, that must be them, c'mon!" she says noding towards the door. "Are sure about this, Twi?" I asked as she rolled her eyes and dragged me out to the chariot. "Oh, come on you big baby, this is Celestia and Luna we're talking about! They're the nicest ponies you'll ever meet!" she says getting a little annoyed. "Okay Okay, let's go." I said sighing whilst sitting on the cushioned wood seat next to Twilight. As we took off, I looked at the passing clouds and pegasai, looking depressed as usual, then Twilight scooted a little closer to me. My heart started to flitter about and feel weightless. "Listen, T-twilight...I, uh...I need to tell you something." I said as I turned to her. "What is it Ian?" She asked completly oblivious to my feelings towards her. "Well, you see...when we first met...I, I fell in love wi--" I was cut off by her lips locking with mine. "I love you, too..." she said whith a little giggle. "L-Let's just go inside and meet the Princesses" I say with a bit of fluster in my voice. [15 minutes later; in the trone room] As we went into the throne room, the Princesses were waiting for us with smiles that were warm enough to melt ice. "Uhhh...H-hello princesses...." I said quietly, staring at the floor, nervous. "No need to be nervous, young Ian." Celestia said with a warm, motherly voice that can put a baby to sleep without hassle. I started to shake and tremble, then I felt a hoof grab my hand, somehow firming it's grip. I look over to my side to see Twilight looking at me with her hoof in my hand, giving me more stability, I stop shaking and speak up. "I see you've made a new friend, Ian?" Celestia said with a little giggle. "Yes I have, you highness." I said looking at Twilight with a smile. She smiles back and nuzzles my hand. "Well, maybe she's more than JUST a friend...she's my marefriend!" I said beaming with happiness, something I haven't felt in a LONG time. "Well, Well Twilight, you really have your work cut out for you" Luna said. Celestia just gave a small chuckle. After talking with the Princesses for about an hour or two, we decided to go home, and rest for a while. Once we took off again Twilight was leaning on my arm and I saw something in her eyes that made her seem more alive than when I saw her the first time. "That was actually pretty fun, now that I think about it! They didn't discriminate me or show any kind of resentment towards me...they're very nice and welcoming!" I said in a sort-of-shocked state. "Can we come again sometime, Twi?" I asked cheerfully, with a bit of gleam in my eyes. "Of course we can, Ian! Just ask me and I'll send a letter asking them if we can visit, or we can invite them to dinner here." She said with a little smile. "So, I don't mean to bug you about it or anything...but, how was your life back on Earth?" she asked quizzically. "It was awful! I didn't have that many friends, nor did I like it there...everyone had their own clique, I didn't. And to top it all off my parents died in a house fire!" I said tears streaming down my cheeks. "But they left this behind." I said showing off my amulet. It had a red gem that looked like, believe it or not a flame. "Wow! It's so pretty!" She says in awe. "M-may I?" She asked, waiting for a response. I looked at her and smiled. "Sure go ahead, I don't mind!" I say happily, as she touches the gem. "It was the last thing my mother gave to me...I miss her, so much!" I said crying. The feeling of warmth enveloped me. As I look down I see Twilight has me in a deep embrace. I hug her in return. "I love you, my sweet prince." she said, saddened by my story. Problems in The Crystal EmpireAs we landed, Twilight and I went into our castle, but before we closed the door a few guard busted through the half-closed doors. "Princess! We have a message from Princess Cadence, here!" He said in a rush, almost troubled. Twilight levitated the letter to read it. "Oh no! Ian, we need to go, NOW!" She said literally pulling me out the door. "Okay, Okay Twilight! What's the big deal?!" I asked confused. "It's my Sister-In-Law! She was captured, and so was My brother, and their daughter!" She said frantically as she pulled my into the royal chariot. "Okay, but what do you want me to do? I don't have magic like you! I'm useless in this situation!" I say trying to put some sense into the mare...nope. "Look, I didn't want to have to do this, but you give me no choice." She says, putting her horn on the amulet's gem. As she does this, the gem starts glowing with a bright red light. "The gem! It's glowing! Twilight, what did you do to it?" I said, scared and confused. She looked at me with a weakened smile. "I fused some of my magic with the gem to "activate" it, you do have magic, Ian...you just don't know how to use it, but you'll learn overtime." She says as we reach the Crystal Empire. "Okay, so first off, don't say or do anything, let me handle this, Second, DON'T and I mean DON'T try anything stupid, like trickery or anything...we don't know what we're up against! And Finally, if things go wrong, run, run and don't look back!" She says as I nod, even though I wouldn't...I'm not losing someone I love again, it's not going to happen. As we entered the crystal-enveloped castle, I saw what looked like black/grey(gray) gemstones coming out of the ground with what looked like "shadow-embers" coming off of them. The tarps were torn and stained-glass windows, broken. the palace had a grey-ish black-ish look to it. Shadows seeping through the cracks the crystals had made. "What the hell happened here?" I said with a slight grimace on my face. Silence When I looked at Twilight all I saw was a mare, broken, broken to the point of anger. She was breathing heavily. "T-Twilight?" I said cautiously. Then she starts to mumble indistinctly. "TWILIGHT!!!" I yell trying to get her attention. "It was him" She said in a cold tone. So cold that is could freeze the sun in seconds. "Who, Twilight? "Man tonight's gonna SUCK!" I said as I remembered I have nowhere to sleep tonight! "Whatever is the matter, darling?" Rarity asked in a slightly puzzled tone. "I have nowhere to sleep tonight..." I sigh as I watched some bird flutter about. "Well...you could always stay in the castle if you want...we have a guest bedroom." Twilight asked in a soft, timid tone. "Wait...you're saying you would let me stay with you?! I...I-I couldn't do that, I don't want to be a burden! Besides I would only get in the way...I'm not all that helpful when it comes to people..or in this case ponies..." I said trying to have some self-respect with a hint of sadness. "C'mon please, I'd feel TERRIBLE if I were to just leave you out here all by yourself, besides we're friends and that's what friends do, so please, I insist!" She said making a cute begging face. 'D'awww! How could I possibly saw no to that?!' I thought as I was being afffected by her adorkableness. "FINE...you win, I'll stay with you, just DON'T wake me up before 5:00AM...I get EXTREMELY pissy and grouchy at that time." I say defeated as she squees. "Oh Thankyouthankyouthankyou! This means so much to me, I haven't been able to talk to anypony recently, they've been so busy lately, and with my friend/assistant, Spike in the Crystal Empire I'm normally alone in the castle, besides the ocasional visit/dinners with the Princesses... Oh speaking of princesses, I bet they would LOVE to meet you personally!" She said happily. "Oh, I don't know...." I said worried about what might happen if I meet with the princesses. God I hope I made this doesn't turn out badly, what if they think I'm disrespectful or think I'm some type of deadly monster, or worse, a changeling?! I hope I made the right choice, but if all else fails I can just escape in the everfree forest....hopefully...
The Search The Search I looked at her quizzically. "Sombra?" I asked. "I'm sorry Twilight but I don't know who Sombra is...he sounds scary though!" I say, trying to picture what this pony looks like. She has a dark look on her face. "Sombra...Sombra is the one who took over and enslaved all the ponies that live here, not even love can cure his dark heart." She says in a low somber tone. I look over at her with a sad expression. "Twilight, I-I can't imagine what they must have went through...W-we should get going, they NEED us Twilight." I said not knowing what to do or say. `She just sits there staring at the glossy, reflective ground. "Twilight? C'mon babe we need to go!" I said trying to get her attention. "Huh? Oh...yeah, sorry! I got kinda lost in my thoughts." She said whilst blushing a little. "A-anyway, we should start looking for something that would lead us, or at least tell us where Sombra is or was!" She said in a slightly commanding, firm voice. I saluted, playing along. "Yes, ma'am!" I say trying to lighten things up a little. "Okay, so where should we look first?" I asked the purple princess. She looks around for a while, trying to get an idea of where Sombra could have went. After looking around for a while we decide to stop and eat, yet as luck follows all the restaurants and shops are closed due to the 'predicament' at hand. so in stead we decide to fly back to Ponyville for today, and continue the search tomorrow. As we landed near the castle, we decided to invite Princess Celestia and Luna. Twilight sent the letter and said "I'll go prepare the food, please set the table, dear...Oh and make it quick, they'll be here in an hour!" with a firm, yet loving voice. I nod and go to do my job, but as I walk into the dining hall all I can do is be in awe. The room is like the castle; crystal, but the decor and the scale of it (approx. the size of the dining hall in Harry Potter). I shake it off, and tend to my duty. ~~~~~ "Okay Twilight, I'm done!" I called as I walk out of the humongous dining hall. "Okay, can you help me with the daisy salads?" she says cheerfully, probably fake; knowing that her sister-in-law and her brother are pony-napped. "No problem, babe!" I say as I kiss her on the cheek. "Man, what a day...I hope we find them, and soon! I REALLY want to meet their daughter....what was her name?" I asked trying to remember the name of the newer princess. "Princess Flurry Heart , but I'm pretty sure she'll let you call her Flurry Heart." She said semi-cheerfully. "Okay...oh, if he took them couldn't you just track them using magic or something?" I asked quizzically. "Well I guess I could but, it's going to be difficult to do so...but I'll try." she said with dullness in her eyes. She closed her eyes and lit up her horn and concentrated as bard as she possibly could. "I feel something!" she says happily. "I-I can sense them, but faintly." she said, trying to figure out how to make the spell even more powerful. "C'mon, we need to meet princesses half way!" she said as she ran off with new determination and spirit. "W-wait what? Why?!" I said in exhaustion from trying to catch up with her. I stopped, only to find that she teleported me to where we were meeting them. "You silly boy! We need to meet them here, so we can tell them that we found out how to track them, and Sombra!" She said delighted, never before have I seen her so determined. (besides when Tirek was trying to rule...) "Okay if you insist..." I say a little questionable about her enthusiasm. I sat down and put my arm around her body, as she put her wing around me. "Twilight, if anything happens, I just want to say that I love you so much, I'm so, SO glad that we met each other, it helps me...cope with my last relationship..." I said in a sad, dark tone. "Oh? What happened?" She asked curiously. I'm pretty sure, given the situation, she doesn't want to hear the story...not now at least.... "I'll tell you after this whole mess is behind us, okay?" I said smiling, pecking her on the cheek. "Okay!" She said smiling, as the princesses came and landed in front of us. "Oh! Hi Princess Celestia, Luna!" She said as she gave them both hugs. "I'm glad you responded as quickly as you could!" She said smiling. "Of course, my little pony, especially if you have a way to find them!" She said gladly, but that smile soon turned as she looked at the ground furrowing her brows. "We need to eliminate Sombra, for good this time...I know it's going to be a hard task Twilight, but we NEED to do this." Celestia said with a hint of hatred, and also fear. "Surely we can do this a more peaceful--" Celestia cut me off. "I am truly sorry, my dear Ian...but that's not possible! He had his thousand chances, more than enough to reform himself, or have help getting reformed...but no, he decided to try to over rule the Crystal Empire, AND take Flurry Heart." Thanks~<3 Submission ~Somewhere in Equestria~ I just started to wake up, and my head hurt like hell! As I got up from the cold..stone...floor? "Wh-where am I? Wait, where's mom and dad?!" I said scared and confused. "Mom?! Dad?! Anypony?!" I cried out, hoping for answer back...nothing, not a damn sound, the only sound is of my voice echoing off the large stone walls. As I looked around all I see is a dark, dank, and murky cave, no opening just an enclosed cave-like structure. Then I saw four tunnel openings. "Hello?! Anypony in there?" I yelled down them, yet no response. "Hello, my child, you're finally awake! Your parents aren't here, they are locked away in this cave." said a mysterious voice out of nowhere, yet everywhere. I looked up, and backed up into the wall. "Who are you? Where are you?" I said frantically, if I can talk to this pony I can probably get out of here. If they can hear me, maybe there are others. The voice laughed. "You ask to many questions, young princess." The voice said sternly. "You can't see me because my body was destroyed in a terrible accident, you don't mind if I use yours, do you?!" He laughed as he took over my body, all I could do is watch in horror as my spirit was pulled out of my body. "NO! Get out of my body!" I screamed as I watched the shadow-like spirit take over my body. "Just who do you think you are?! That is MY body!" I cried as I bolted towards my body, but all I saw was a white flash and an empty room. "NO! COME BACK!" I yelled at the top of my lungs....nothing. ~Ponyville~ We ran to the train station and into the train, telling the conductor our destination as we rushed to a seat. "Listen Twilight...I thought that you didn't kill ponies!" I said terrified. She looked at me with sorrowful eyes. "We do this only in DIRE situations..." She said with a somber, low-tone. She looked down, and closed her eyes. "Why her?!" She screamed with anger and sadness, slamming her hoof down on the hard wood floor of the train, putting a slight dent in it. "Why out of all the ponies in Equestria, why Flurry Heart?! And why Shinning and Cadence?!" she screamed tears pouring down her cheeks. I have never seen her like this before. In my time of being here, I have NEVER seen her like this! "Twilight, baby, it's okay! We'll get them back, I promise!" I say as I kiss her and look her in the eyes. "I swear on my life that we will get them back...do you trust me?" I ask softly, holding her soft, light hooves. She looks at me with a twinkle in her eyes, as I wipe her tears away. "Of course I do!" She said with a sniffle, and broken voice. "I will ALWAYS trust you because I love you!" She said as she flung her arms and wings around me in a loving embrace. I hugged her back, and said "I love you, too!" with a warm smile. "ATTENTION ALL PASSENGERS, WE WILL BE ARRIVING AT THE CRYSTAL EMPIRE IN 10 MINUTES, THANK YOU." Said a voice on the trains PA system. "He does know there is only like five ponies on this huge train, right?" I say as she giggles a little. "Of course, silly! It's just his job to inform anypony that is on the train, even if there's like NOPONY on here!" She said with a giggle. 10 Minutes Later As we got to the train station, Twilight closes her eyes and activates her magic, and walks in a few directions. "Found her!" She says as she bolts towards the other end of town. I have never seen Twilight run so fast! "Hey! Wait up, Twi!" I said, rushing over to her. "Sorry, I got...kind of....excited!" She said between breaths. I just smiled and shook my head. She blushed and said "Okay! Let's keep going thi-" She was cut off. We heard "Aunt Twilight?!" As we hear this we turn around. We then see a light pink alicorn with semi-massive wings. "Flurry Heart?!" Twilight gasped as the the light pink alicorn ran towards us. "Thank goodness I found you! I was stuck in a cave, and my parents are still in there, and I heard this voice...it was so scary!" She cried, shaking in fear. "It's okay now honey! I'm here, you don't need to be afraid anymore...we'll get Shinning and Cadence out of there, I promise!" Twilight said in a motherly, warm tone. I watched as the light pink pony was crying into Twilight...something seemed...off, WAY off! What is this pony up to, and why does this seem off? I mean it's just Flurry Heart...right?
It's a Trap!Today was very stressful, me and Twilight were trying to get back home with Flurry Heart, but as soon as we got back to the Crystal Empire but those gray crystals got bigger and somehow came after us! After a long ass battle with the franken-crystals, we took off running as fast as we could to the chariot and flew back to Ponyville. "Twilight...WHAT. THE HELL. WAS. THAT?!" I yell scared shitless. She looks at me and smiles. "Whatever that was, it's over now. But I'm pretty sure there is going to be more if we stick around and longer, let's go!" She said as she envelops me in her magic and teleports us to the train station. "Look whenever we get to Ponyville I need you to get Flurry Heart to the hospital ASAP, okay?" She says in a stern, serious tone. I nodded, as the train pulled in, we took our seats and talked to Flurry Heart about what happened. "So...Prin-" She cut me off. "Flurry Heart...is fine, please." She said gently. "So, Flurry Heart, what happened?" I ask as I clasp my hands together, listening. "Well...I was sitting in my quarters when I heard a scream coming from the throne room. I ran there as fast as I could! but that's when I saw Sombra taking my mother and father, he laughed and took me to a cave, separating me and my parents, I just recently got out." "Uh huh...so tell me, how did you get out just as Twilight finds a way to find you?" I said, with a stern serious look. "I just am finding it a little strange that you just appeared out of no where when we got to the Crystal Empire..."I said as I looked deep into her eyes. She looked back at me with an equally stern face. "Well..." she started. "I don't know how I got out or where I was, but the last thing I remember was a big flashing light, then I woke up in a cave!" She yelled, tears streaming down her face. "Mom and Dad are missing and here you are blaming me! You don't even know me, what place do you have to blame me?!" She screamed as she flew towards me trying to attack. I closed my eyes, preparing for the blow, yet I didn't feel anything. I opened my eyes to see a crying, pissed off teen Alicorn bashing on what looked like a shield. "He's my coltfriend, and why did you try to attack him?!" Twilight said, clearly pissed. "You could have killed him, his magic isn't strong enough to...wait...the Flurry Heart I know doesn't try to attack people in an argument..." Twi says, realizing something I should have when we saw her. "You're not Flurry Heart, are you?" twilight says in a low, almost growl. Meeting The PrincessesAuthor's Note Here's another one, just because I needed to write something because I was feeling depressed, hope y'all like it! ^_^ ~thanks! Meeting The Princesses Awhile after I set my stuff up in my room in Twilight's castle, I sat down and sighed "Man, I hope the Princesses don't think of me as a monster or something like that..." I said looking down with a scared/scared look. She scoffs. "Nah! They don't really worry about that unless it's an imediate threat, or a forseen war or battle." she said matter-as-factly. "Are you sure about this? I'm like...REALLY scared! I'm used to people taking one look at me and running, because of my more adult-like apearence..." I say tears starting to well up. "Oh, please, do you really think that Celestia or Luna would do that? Besides, they face FAR worse than an apearence." she chuckled whilst shaking her head slightly. I start to feel a little calmer, especially since she's the one trying to convince me. "I don't know...probably! I mean I look like an overgrown hairless ape..." I say trying to calm down a little. "Listen, If I told the Princesses that you are friendly then they'll believe me. Do you trust me?" She said with a adorable buldgey-eyed look. "Of course I trust you! I'm just new to the whole meeting royalty thing, I guess." I say putting my FOX hat on and sighing. "Well, don't worry about it, besides I've already sent the letter an hour ago, so get ready...the chariot is going to--" a knock at the door cutting her off. "Oh, that must be them, c'mon!" she says noding towards the door. "Are sure about this, Twi?" I asked as she rolled her eyes and dragged me out to the chariot. "Oh, come on you big baby, this is Celestia and Luna we're talking about! They're the nicest ponies you'll ever meet!" she says getting a little annoyed. "Okay Okay, let's go." I said sighing whilst sitting on the cushioned wood seat next to Twilight. As we took off, I looked at the passing clouds and pegasai, looking depressed as usual, then Twilight scooted a little closer to me. My heart started to flitter about and feel weightless. "Listen, T-twilight...I, uh...I need to tell you something." I said as I turned to her. "What is it Ian?" She asked completly oblivious to my feelings towards her. "Well, you see...when we first met...I, I fell in love wi--" I was cut off by her lips locking with mine. "I love you, too..." she said whith a little giggle. "L-Let's just go inside and meet the Princesses" I say with a bit of fluster in my voice. [15 minutes later; in the trone room] As we went into the throne room, the Princesses were waiting for us with smiles that were warm enough to melt ice. "Uhhh...H-hello princesses...." I said quietly, staring at the floor, nervous. "No need to be nervous, young Ian." Celestia said with a warm, motherly voice that can put a baby to sleep without hassle. I started to shake and tremble, then I felt a hoof grab my hand, somehow firming it's grip. I look over to my side to see Twilight looking at me with her hoof in my hand, giving me more stability, I stop shaking and speak up. "I see you've made a new friend, Ian?" Celestia said with a little giggle. "Yes I have, you highness." I said looking at Twilight with a smile. She smiles back and nuzzles my hand. "Well, maybe she's more than JUST a friend...she's my marefriend!" I said beaming with happiness, something I haven't felt in a LONG time. "Well, Well Twilight, you really have your work cut out for you" Luna said. Celestia just gave a small chuckle. After talking with the Princesses for about an hour or two, we decided to go home, and rest for a while. Once we took off again Twilight was leaning on my arm and I saw something in her eyes that made her seem more alive than when I saw her the first time. "That was actually pretty fun, now that I think about it! They didn't discriminate me or show any kind of resentment towards me...they're very nice and welcoming!" I said in a sort-of-shocked state. "Can we come again sometime, Twi?" I asked cheerfully, with a bit of gleam in my eyes. "Of course we can, Ian! Just ask me and I'll send a letter asking them if we can visit, or we can invite them to dinner here." She said with a little smile. "So, I don't mean to bug you about it or anything...but, how was your life back on Earth?" she asked quizzically. "It was awful! I didn't have that many friends, nor did I like it there...everyone had their own clique, I didn't. And to top it all off my parents died in a house fire!" I said tears streaming down my cheeks. "But they left this behind." I said showing off my amulet. It had a red gem that looked like, believe it or not a flame. "Wow! It's so pretty!" She says in awe. "M-may I?" She asked, waiting for a response. I looked at her and smiled. "Sure go ahead, I don't mind!" I say happily, as she touches the gem. "It was the last thing my mother gave to me...I miss her, so much!" I said crying. The feeling of warmth enveloped me. As I look down I see Twilight has me in a deep embrace. I hug her in return. "I love you, my sweet prince." she said, saddened by my story.
Problems in The Crystal EmpireAs we landed, Twilight and I went into our castle, but before we closed the door a few guard busted through the half-closed doors. "Princess! We have a message from Princess Cadence, here!" He said in a rush, almost troubled. Twilight levitated the letter to read it. "Oh no! Ian, we need to go, NOW!" She said literally pulling me out the door. "Okay, Okay Twilight! What's the big deal?!" I asked confused. "It's my Sister-In-Law! She was captured, and so was My brother, and their daughter!" She said frantically as she pulled my into the royal chariot. "Okay, but what do you want me to do? I don't have magic like you! I'm useless in this situation!" I say trying to put some sense into the mare...nope. "Look, I didn't want to have to do this, but you give me no choice." She says, putting her horn on the amulet's gem. As she does this, the gem starts glowing with a bright red light. "The gem! It's glowing! Twilight, what did you do to it?" I said, scared and confused. She looked at me with a weakened smile. "I fused some of my magic with the gem to "activate" it, you do have magic, Ian...you just don't know how to use it, but you'll learn overtime." She says as we reach the Crystal Empire. "Okay, so first off, don't say or do anything, let me handle this, Second, DON'T and I mean DON'T try anything stupid, like trickery or anything...we don't know what we're up against! And Finally, if things go wrong, run, run and don't look back!" She says as I nod, even though I wouldn't...I'm not losing someone I love again, it's not going to happen. As we entered the crystal-enveloped castle, I saw what looked like black/grey(gray) gemstones coming out of the ground with what looked like "shadow-embers" coming off of them. The tarps were torn and stained-glass windows, broken. the palace had a grey-ish black-ish look to it. Shadows seeping through the cracks the crystals had made. "What the hell happened here?" I said with a slight grimace on my face. Silence When I looked at Twilight all I saw was a mare, broken, broken to the point of anger. She was breathing heavily. "T-Twilight?" I said cautiously. Then she starts to mumble indistinctly. "TWILIGHT!!!" I yell trying to get her attention. "It was him" She said in a cold tone. So cold that is could freeze the sun in seconds. "Who, Twilight? Who's 'he'?!" I asked worriedly. "SOMBRA..." Author's Note Hope y'all like this chapter! It took me two days to figure out what to make the conflict about.
