Twilight's phone vibrated. "Hello?" "Hey Twi sorry to interrupt any bonding your having right now but I think you should come back to base," Pinkie said. "On my way now Pinkie," Twilight activated her jet boots flying upward then straight to Metropolis City. As quick as a whip, Twilight got off the elevator running to where her friends gathered to see a news report about an escaped convict named The Maniac. "How in the hay did that crazed lunatic git out of prison?" Applejack questioned. "Good question," Shy replied. Twilight was glued to the screen until an alarm went off to signal danger was coming. What showed up on their big board was a hair salon place under attack. "Alright Pinkie and Applejack you both go investigate what's going on over there while the rest of us look into this more in depth," Twilight commanded. Both AJ and Pinkie went to their respected pods to suit up ready to go as Twilight, Shy, Rainbow Dash, Rarity and Spike stayed behind to check out if this is a harmless park or could The Maniac could be coming back for revenge after they took care of her before. "I'll check all around the city for Maniac," Rarity said putting on her leather brown jacket and her motorcycle keys before leaving the base. Rarity raced to her motorbike, turned on the ignition and rode into the city quickly. Pinkie and AJ in the meantime were able to arrive at the salon to see Maniac's minions appear. "Looks like we came early," Applejack said grabbing her horseshoes. They came charging at them but Pinkie moved quickly, was able to knock a few down while her partner hit them with one horseshoe that apparently knocked them out cold. "Good golly Applejack I didn't know you could do that," Pinkie said in surprise. Applejack could only smile and ruffle the party girl's hair. Something shiny caught the speedster's eye as she walked over to one minion and saw a beeping red chip sticking out of his neck. "What are those things? Parasites?" Applejack asked appearing next to Pinkie. "Not exactly but I may have a hunch that Maniac implanted these chips to keep them under her control and if they were to be defeated then she'll shut those chips off," Pinkie explained. "Which is wired to their skulls?" Applejack asked confused but starting to piece it together. Pinkie gave a satisfied nod smiling. "Glad that's covered up now I think we'd better take a picture to send it back to Twilight and the others," Applejack suggested. "Good idea," Pinkie said pulling out her phone and took a snapshot of the chip. They both left the salon with photographic evidence of what was found today. The Maniac stepped out of the shadows, surveying what happened with a disappointing look on her face. "It is so hard to find good help these days. Very soon Twilight I will have my revenge against you and your little group...you won't have a city when I'm done with it," Maniac expressed her revenge plan against the Power People. For right now she would map out her plan, then when the moment arrives it will be time to strike. Spike made some last minute adjustments to the jet by fixing a disrupted comm link to keep it from cutting communication off so important information can be heard. As soon as he was reattaching the link in communications Pinkie ran up to him with something important on her phone which startled the poor Spike who almost hit Pinkie with his staff. "Jesus Pinkie don't scare me like that you know how jumpy I am," Spike warned catching his breath after that sudden scare. "Sorry about that I just wanted to hand you this," Pinkie apologized handing Spike her phone. Spike was confused at first but his quick look at her pictures he found some kind of chip implanted inside a minion's neck. "Applejack and I found that on one of them and we think Maniac is using that as mind control of some sort," Pinkie explained. Walking over to the big computer and bringing the photo of that chip implant, Dash came out from training and happened to catch up on something extraordinary. "Says here Maniac used some sort of device to control the minds of ordinary people and make them into mindless slaves to do her dirty work. Once a subject's chip has burned out their brain bleeds internally and slowly die a painful death," Spike read. "Where did she found those chip things?" Dash asked confused at what's going on. "Those chips were found on some of Maniac's minions when Pinkie and I were done beating them up," Applejack replied removing her mask. Dash was in total shock that someone as crazy as the Maniac would do something so....horrendous. Inside the hospital a nurse guided Twilight to her mother who was relaxing on her bed and looked up at her daughter all grown up. "Oh hello sweetie what brings you here," Velvet said still a little loopy from the drugs they gave her. "I'm doing find mom," Twilight replied holding back tears but finding that very difficult. "Hunny I know you wanted to talk about my relationship with Bloody Mary," Velvet said. Twilight only nodded and used a tissue to wipe her tears away before they had a chance to fall. "Mary and I were happy together as best friends. We would hang out a lot and do other fun stuff...until one day she didn't feel well after battling a growing disease and one remedy she sought out was killing her many female young servants and bathed in their blood to keep herself looking beautiful. People in our village rioted against Mary and killed her by the way of firing squad...ever since then I still hear her calling my name to go rock skipping," Velvet explained. "Oh wow mom I never knew you and Mary were close," Twilight said touching her bottom lip. It sent a memory of her locking lips with Mary before Twilight killed her. Now that she knew the truth it made sense and now she felt guilty about what she did to her. "In any case how is the whole super heroine thing going?" Velvet asked lighting up the mood a bit. "Oh I'm doing great and getting along with my friends very well," Twilight replied smiling a bit. Her mother was happy she was getting along with the rest of the team. After she visited her mother Spike called her and explained that Pinkie found something that may help crack this little mystery wide open. "Ok Spike I'm on my way back to base now," Twilight told him running back to HQ. A motorcycle happen to pass by but stopped and revealed Rarity behind that helmet. "You need a lift?" Rarity asked. Twilight hopped on, held on to Rarity tightly, she revved up and drove down the street. In an underground bunker Maniac put one bolt into a hair growing machine that when contacted with water activated a controlled hair growth thus covering Metropolis City in nothing but hair. "This plan will be perfect and once I get my hands on that Sparkle girl she'll be taken away from this world," Maniac proclaimed laughing manically.
Chapter 2 Hair Raising NightmareView OnlinePower People Revenge of The ManicChapter 2 Hair Raising NightmareDash walked into Spitfire's cell where she was sleeping for a moment until she saw her and awoken. "Hey Rainbow you have any luck on a cure or some kind of treatment to help out this whole vampire thing?" Spitfire asked. "We do but it requires you to a needle injected into your arm," Dash replied holding out a syringe. Despite her fear of needles Spitfire was determined to rid herself of being a blood sucking monster for good. Dash opened the cell, injected the needle into her arm and watched as Spitfire's color came back, she felt 100 times better now her skin wasn't pale anymore. "Thanks Dash that was some strong stuff," Spitfire said happily. "No problem," Dash replied smiling. The two of them shook hands and walked over to the elevator and arrived outside of base. "Well if there's anything you need just give me a call ok?" Spitfire offered her services. "I'll keep in touch," Dash responded warmly. With one final hug Spitfire then left to head back home while Dash looked on smiling that she helped her out. Shy watched Spitfire leave from her bedroom window. Be safe wherever you go old friend Dash wished her the best of luck. Meanwhile Rarity did a jumping spinning roundhouse kick to a punching bag hard causing it to swing back and forth. Activating her twin purple axes and pretended to slash an enemy quickly which surprised herself for how fast she can eliminate someone. "Good form Miss Rarity although your footwork needs room for improvement," Kate said stepping out of the shadows. "Kate!" Rarity called out. "Now now Rarity I do not wish to fight for I only want to help understand who your dealing with," Kate began. Rarity charged at her full speed but an unrelenting force blew her back first into a wall. "Very rude of you," Kate reminded her, cracking her knuckles. Rarity felt like a ton of weight came crashing down on her as she wheezed for a moment before getting up. "Now if you are quite done I want you to understand that between you and Tia she has a dark secret no one ever wanted to know. Once Doctor Sunset Shimmer reveals herself then you'll see Princess Celestia is not what she seems," Kate explained disappearing in the shadows. Spike rushed inside and tended to Rarity who was using a support beam to hold herself up. "Thank you Spike," Rarity thanked him. Spike nodded and laid the fashionista down to recover from Kate's sudden attack. Shy punched another minion in the face while Matterhorn from them, short circuiting the chips on their necks. "Looks like we took them all," Saddle said. "Not yet Flutters we have to find Maniac before something else happens," Matterhorn reminded her. They ran through the sewers in a desperate search of Maniac but everywhere either Shy or Twilight looked was empty except one corridor that looked decrepit beyond repair with spider webs over on some corners which made Shy's stomach turn to the point she almost puked. "Keep it together Shy I'm right here for you," Twilight said warm and stern. She activated the X Ray feature on her goggles revealing a skeleton version of Maniac was just around the corner. "Yup she's in here and up to something not good I might add," Twilight said shutting off the X Ray feature. Shy nodded and ran through the corridor only to be stopped with a roundhouse kick from Maniac knocking the brute down. "Fluttershy or should I say Saddle Rager," Maniac said with a maniacal cackle as her hair grabbed on to her and brought Shy closer to her. "You monster!" Shy shouted struggling to break free but Maniac's hair was too strong. All of a sudden Twilight kicked her face in, releasing Fluttershy from her grip and into a wall as Matterhorn stomped her foot on Maniac's larynx. "Now tell me what your plan is before I crush your ability to speak," Twilight warned. "Even if I tell you, the damage is already done so in turn I win," Maniac said laughing. Twilight balded up her fist ready to punch her but Shy stopped her friend and realized what she was doing. Maniac used this opportunity to break free sending them both heroes back. Her hair attacked both of them but couldn't stand against repulsor fire as Shy stomped on the floor and fist punched her in slow motion that created a sort of shockwave that sent her over 10 walls until she reached the city surface with 4 lost teeth from that sudden punch. Before Maniac had time to recover she was hit with a metal staff to the the stomach then a hard roundhouse kick to the face by Mistress Marevelous. Soon enough Twilight and Shy joined in the fray. "Had enough Maniac or are you thirsty for more?" Matterhorn joked. Maniac gave a chuckle as a loud rumbling sound could be heard from below shaking the very foundation of buildings even knocking some down in busy streets. "What's happenin Twilight?" Applejack asked trying to keep her balance. "WITNESS THE POWER OF HAIR WHEN IT TRIES TO END YOUR PATHETIC LIVES!" Maniac said laughing insanely rather loudly. Soon enough loads of green hair started appearing from sewer grates. "We need to get to higher ground!" Twilight commanded. The sudden whizz of jet engine fuel came right past them with Rarity piloting it and using a laser function to cut through the hair and open the hatch to let everyone on. Once they all got on, Rarity handed over piloting skills to Spike who jived through incoming hair tentacles desperately trying to rip that jet to pieces but Spike was smart enough and knew where to go. "So how did y'all find us?" Applejack asked. "The alarm went off as the city shook like a snow globe and we saw you guys were down there so we picked you up," Dash explained. "Well we're grateful you did because right now we need to regroup and figure out a plan," Twilight said taking off her goggles. Spike's jet alarm went off as one tentacle grew underneath them and bumped into it causing the jet to lose control. "EVERYONE HANG ON!" Spike shouted trying to pull up but it was too late. The jet hit a nearby building, knocking off one wing making it even harder for Spike to gain control as it skidded to the ground in a painless but terrifying flight experience for all of them. Maniac walked over to the wreckage and realized no one was in the crashed jet. "What?!? This is impossible!" Maniac shouted in disbelief. "Good job activating the teleporter in our seats in case of an emergency," Pinkie said smiling at Spike. "Thanks...now at least we can figure out a plan now," Spike suggested. Everyone agreed and ran back to HQ. Kate from her Escalade watched as the team of heroes dashed back to regroup for their next move. "Soon Tia your precious team will know the truth about you and will never trust you or what you say ever again," Kate vowed looking at her pocket watch before driving off.
Chapter 3 SnowblindView OnlinePower People Revenge of The ManicChapter 3 Snowblind"Alright those hair tentacles are taking over half of Metropolis City and we need a plan to knock them out of commission before we get to Maniac," Spike began, showing areas of the city where the hairs have taken over. Everyone looked on in horror. "I'm thinking that maybe if I can create a big enough shock it should cause a shrinking reaction," Dash said. "That just might work but we'd better move fast because time is running out," Spike said grabbing his staff. Dash flew upward to get a good outlook of the city and could see almost half was covered in green hair. Alright I have to do this right...one slip up and Metropolis is done for Dash thought flying upward and placing a electric shield around herself in case she was under attack. Her eyes turned pure white as a storm cloud was approaching making rumbling noises in the process. Down below Maniac noticed a dark cloud coming this way and commanded her hair tentacles to kill Rainbow Dash. Masked Matterhorn cut them down with a purple and light blue sword defending her friend. "You keep this shock going and we'll keep you alive," Twilight said. Dash nodded as her hands began to spark with electricity. Another group of tentacles attacked but Pinkie tied them together as Applejack stomped on them hard. Rarity made giant scissors appear and cut the hair down to size but was wrapped in Maniac's hair with no chance of escaping as she squeezed tightly. Rarity could feel air leaving her but Pinkie rushed speared Maniac to release the grip she had on Radiance. "You fools! I have waited so long for my revenge and you aren't going to deter me of that!" Maniac proclaimed monkey flipping Pinkie into a nearby building. "Hrag!" Twilight yelled cutting another tentacle with her sword. Come on Dash we could really use that shock Looking up, Applejack could see a mammoth size electric shocker ball. "MOVE!" Applejack shouted. Everyone moved out of the way so Dash can throw the ball down. When it hit the ground all the hair tentacles began to frizzle up from the shock then shrunk down until there was nothing left. "NO! My precious tentacles!" Maniac screamed picking up loose hair. The Power Heroes surrounded her readying their weapons/powers in case she tried to escape. Maniac put up her hands in surrender as police arrived and cuffed her and put her hair in a secure lock to keep it from going all crazy. Once she was in the police cruiser Dash's eyes changed back to normal. "It's going to take a while for us to clean this city up but let's give them a hand," Twilight suggested. A few minutes later Metropolis City was back in business as usual. "And in another story the mysterious Power People stopped another hair raising attack from The Maniac and the citizens of Metropolis City are grateful for these heroes wherever they might be." Shy smiled along with the others that they worked together as a cohesive unit to stop Maniac's scheme for revenge. Kate pressed a button to contact her boss. "Kate my dear I am glad you called...your time is growing near for those heroes to be eliminated," he said. "Of course master I assure you once we reveal Celestia's true intentions Twilight will no longer trust her," Kate explained. "Good my young apprentice I hope you will keep me posted," he said hoping Kate will do so. "Yes master," Kate replied obedient to her master. He faded away as Kate picked up a figurine of Celestia and crushed it in between her fingertips then left.
