It's Equestrian History Appreciation Day! A day to celebrate all the different creatures and cultures who call Equestria home. In honor of this, Cheerilee hands out an assignment to all her students to study a different species and present a report detailing something of interest they learned of their culture. It should be an easy, fun project for everypony.

Sweetie Belle gets assigned dragons and assumes she'll have an easy pass on this project. After all, she's good friends with the local town dragon, Spike, and he should be able to help her out, right?

Wrong.

As it would turn out, Spike knows next to nothing about his own culture. The two friends decide to research the project together and get taken along on a wild adventure all for the sake of a school project.

Equestria is a very interesting place indeed.
