Avian walked to Sugar Cube Corner with his wife Fluttershy and their new baby Starry Night to celebrate their wedding. As they entered the building Pinkie Pie hopped up to the newlywed couple.
"Hi guys! It's SOOOO wonderful that you guys can be here! How was your guys honeymoon?"Pinkie pie asked with joy.
"Oh it was wonderful we went to Appaloosa and stayed at Braeburn's place for a week. But then my water broke and I gave birth to Starry Night!" Fluttershy said.
"Awww, that's so cute! Well I'll leave you guys alone for now, enjoy the party!"
After Pinkie Pie left the baby woke up and began to cry.
"I'm going to go change Starry. Do you wanna come with?"
"Sure I'll come with." Avian said.
As they went to the bathroom Fluttershy grabbed a new diaper, baby powder, and some wipes. While she was doing this she began to sing a song to the crying foal.
"Hush now quiet now, it's time to lay your sleepy head, Hush now quiet now it's time to go to bed."
"That's a very nice tune. Where did you learn it?"
"I learned it from my childhood, I don't want to remember it though."
"Why is that?"
"I didn't have a very good childhood...."
"Do you want to talk about it? Maybe you'll feel better if you talk about it?"
"Well.....Ok I'll talk about it. When I was 5 my father was very abusive to me and my siblings, but not when my mom was around. But then when she was gone he would hit us with his leather belt on our flanks or backs. He would hit us so it would sting but not cut us to raise suspicion. My mom was the opposite of my father. She was the reason why I was interested in animals because she would take in stray animals or injured animals, and life was normal until my mom died of lung cancer when I was thirteen. But before she died she taught me that song. But the next day at midnight I had woke up to go to the bathroom and I saw my dad beat my youngest sister who was 6 at the time to death and then rape her corpse. That was the time that I had to escape Cloudsdale. And I did. I had grabbed some food, water and a backpack and fled for Ponyville. And that's why I don't go near Cloudsdale."
Avian stood there with tears in his eyes and hugged Fluttershy tightly.
"Fluttershy can I tell you something?"
"What is it?"
"I will always be there to protect you, don't ever forget that."
"I won't."
They then share a kiss after the hug.
