Choice

Twilight was heading home after a long day of shopping. She yawned as she was worn out after the day. She wanted to rest because she was going to see Celestia. When she entered her home she sat down and looked at a book for a little while to wind down. She sighed in relaxation as she read her book as she didn't have any troubles.

Soon she heard something slide on the floor. She looked at her door and saw a letter there and she guessed that it was slipped under the frame. She went over and picked it up. She examined the front. It had her address on the front and a stamp so it was perfectly good letter. She couldent debate the letters authenticity.

She went over to her desk and set it down. She then examined it to see if it was junk mail. She hated junk mail as she got some in the past. She didn't want to open the letter to find out that it is junk mail. She wanted a good letter if she opened it. She looked at the letter on her desk and wondered if she should open.

She then decided to open it. She saw that it was an invitation to Pinkies birthday party which was that day. She mentally cursed to herself as there was an important delegate meeting that was also taking place that day. Twilight wondered why she couldn't have been reminded before that day. She had no idea on what to do.

Twilight was at a loss as Celestia was counting on her to make it to Canterlot for this international meeting and then Pinkie Pie was counting on her to come to her party. She loved her friends very much and would never let them down but she couldn't let Celestia down either as Twilight was the one of the princess's of Equestria.

Twilight sat down and looked at the invitation to Pinkies birthday and the Canterlot meeting. Twilight wondered about what she should do. If she went to the Canterlot meeting she would make Pinkie upset and cause her to think that she didn't care about Pinkies party and if she didn't go to Canterlot for Celestia then Celestia would be disappointed in her.

She continued to way her options. If she chose either option it would still a negative result and she didn't need that but she needed to figure out what she needed to do or she was going to get sick from the stress and anxiety that this situation was causing her. She ran her hoof through her mane in frustration.

Twilight groaned in frustration. She thought about skipping Pinkies and Celestia's by telling them she was sick but they would both know that she was lying. She could not believe she had to choose between her friends request and the Princess's request. It started to drive crazy. She thought on which pony to go to.

She was in a tough spot and it was hard to pick the right decision. Was the right decision to see her best friend or help the Princess of Equestria. She didn't know what to do and that upset her. If she either missed Pinkies or Celestias meeting she would be criticized for either one. She couldent win either way. She was stuck and she didn't like that.

She was getting angry as she didn't know what she should do. She looked over at Pinkies letter and then thought of an idea an wrote to Celestia about how Pinkie was having a birthday party and that she was upset that she would miss the delegates if she went to Pinkies party. She was also upset because she would miss Pinkies party if she saw the delegates. She then had Spike send the letter and waited for a response.

Soon she got a response back. She opened the letter and read it. In the letter Celestia told her that she didn't have to get herself worked up about something that was so simple. Celestia then told her in the letter that she could cancel the delegate meeting and Twilight could just go to Pinkie's birthday party.

This upset Twilight. It was important for Celestia so Twilight thought about it as she was extremely sad by the position that she was In. It felt terrible as she didn't want to upset Pinkie or let Celestia down. She started to cry as she felt lost as to what she should do. She wondered what the right thing was to do.

Twilight wrote another letter to Celestia that she was so conflicted that it made her cry and told Celestia that whatever she did she would be attacked by either of them and she wrote about how it wasn't fair. She then finally decided on what to do and wrote to Celestia that she would go to neither which would make both of them upset but at least it would be even.

She then wrote a letter to Pinkie. Pinkie of coarse upset when she got the letter and wrote back that she was devastated by Twilight not coming and hoped Twilight would come to her next one. Twilight felt awful but she knew that it was the only way she could have the issue settled as it was driving her crazy.

The next day Twilight apologized to Pinkie and Celestia which both of them accepted her apology and they then wrote letters to Twilight telling her that they wouldn't schedule events at the same time as other events anymore. Twilight was put at ease as she was happy that Celestia wasn't that mad. She also was happy that Pinkie wasn't as upset as before.

They both rescheduled the events during different days and Twilight went both to Pinkie Pie's party and Celestia's meetings. She was glad that she could figure out her situation. She reminded herself to cancel both activities if both cancel conflict each other.
