Inside the apartment of Matthew Murdock, Matthew grabbed a beer from his refrigerator and then opened it "cheers" Matthew said to himself and walked to his couch to rest. It's been months since Derpy went back home and Matthew wishes he could vist her, but couldn't because Hell's Kitchen needs the Daredevil.
Once seated on his thrown, he took a sip and enjoyed the flavor for a job well done today, but something didn't feel right to him. He lessened closely whats in his apartment and he hear a heart beat, Matthew imminently got up from his couch and turned to face the intruder "who are you and what are you doing here?" Matthew asked and the intruder slowly walked out of the shadows "sorry for the intrusion Mr. Murdock, but I felt like it's time that we talked" the unknown man said and walked towards Matthew "what are you doing in my apartment?" Matthew asked and once the stranger got close to him, he sat down on the couch "please, sit" the man said and Matthew complied.
Once Matthew sat down next to him Matthew notice that the stranger was holding his gun "so are you here to kill me?" Matthew asked and the man smiles "no I'm not, I'm just taking precaution" the man said "from me. An ordinary blind guy?" Matthew asked "oh your anything ordinary Mr. Murdock," the man said and then lets go of his gun "I know that when you were just a boy, you saved an old man from getting hit by a truck and a bunch of chemicals splashed on your face" Matthew was surprised that this man knows what has happened to him and lets him continue "and I also know that your a catholic and your having trouble dealing with your life at day and night," Matthew relies that this man knows his secret and lets him speak so he can know what he wants "and I've heard what you did for that gray Pegasus" Matthew then gets up and now wanting answers and the man just sits there "who are you working for?" Matthew demand "if I told you, you wouldn't believe me" the man said and Matthew chuckles "try me" Matthew dared the man "okay, I'm the director of S.H.I.E.L.D". After hearing that Matthew was about to knock the director out, but the director already had his gun pointed at him and Matthew stops "your the ones who tried to kill Derpy" Matthew said in rage "no, that was Hydra not S.H.I.E.L.D" the director informed "whats the deference?" Matthew asked "Hydra is trying to take away freedom and killing anyone who disagrees and S.H.I.E.L.D is the opposite of that" the director said and Matthew was keeping his guard up "lesion Mr. Murdock I know you have no reason to trust me, but I promise you that I'm not here to hurt or threaten you" Matthew lesions closely to the director's heart beats and to his surprise he is telling the truth and lowers his guard a bit "what do you want?" Matthew asked.
The director of S.H.I.E.L.D got up from Matthew's couch and walks towards him "Mr. Murdock, I know that you care about the people in Hell's Kitchen and even wearing a costume at night to do it," the director then walks to Matthew's window and looks outside "and I also heard that you teamed up with a couple of people with abilities to help you defend New York" Matthew then had enough of the director's riddles and spoke up "you didn't answer my question director, what do you want?" the director then turns his head to face Matthew "I'm here because I want to offer you a place at S.H.I.E.L.D" the said and Matthew had a confused look on his face "why me?" Matthew asked "I told you, you and your friends want to protect New York from bad people and that makes you qualified in my book" Matthew then chuckles and shakes his head a little "so you want me to join the Avengers?" Matthew asked "no, I want you to join S.H.I.E.L.D if you like" the director then walks towards Matthew "so what do say Daredevil?" Matthew took this moment to think one what he is offering "before I tell you, what's your name" the director then smiles "Phil Coulson"
