Twilight Sparkle (of the human world) had just become friends with Sunset Shimmer and the Rainbooms, and transferred to Canterlot High. One night, Sunset Shimmer invited her to her house for a sleepover so they could get to know each other better. Twilight and Sunset were wearing their pajamas. Twilight's pajamas consisted of a light blue T-shirt and purple pants with stars on them, while Sunset's pajamas consisted of a plain pinkish purple shirt and pants.
As Sunset was talking about her friendships with the Rainbooms, Twilight suddenly felt a gurgling inside her. It seemed the takeout they had for dinner today hadn't quite settled well with her. As the pressure began building up, she desperately tried to hold it in. She didn't want to fart in front of Sunset, not when they were just getting to know each other better.
"Twilight, are you all right?" said Sunset, noticing the discomfort in Twilight's face, and how much she was sweating.
"Um... Yes, I'm fine," said Twilight, deciding to pretend that she had to go to the bathroom, and then fart there, hoping to keep it silent. Before she could say anything else, however...
FFFFFFRRRRRT!
Twilight accidentally farted loudly. She blushed beet red with embarrassment. "I'm so sorry, Sunset. I didn't mean to..." She noticed Sunset giggled a bit. "It's not that funny!"
"It's no big deal," said Sunset.
"But it's not very ladylike."
"I'll have you know I had a gas problem not too long ago. It was embarrassing then, but looking back at it, it was kind of funny. Besides, it's OK to let it out if you're not feeling good. Here." Sunset farted loudly, and giggled a bit. The room was starting to smell, so she opened up a window to get the smell out of the room.
Twilight farted again, and giggled nervously. It was still a little embarrassing, but it wasn't so bad, and Sunset didn't mind so why should she feel ashamed?
After about a minute, Sunset closed the window. Only seconds later, her stomach gurgled loudly, as it had been hurting for a while too. She had, after all, had the same dinner as Twilight. "I don't know what was in that food we ate, but I think I'm having a gas attack too. You don't need to feel ashamed. Just let it all out. Besides, Pinkie Pie and Rainbow Dash really find it funny. Pinkie even said she and Rainbow would have farting contests sometimes. But I wouldn't fart in front of Rarity if I could avoid it, I learned that the hard way."
Twilight farted again, and said "Maybe you're right. It is kind of funny. Hey, we should have a farting contest!" She blushed lightly at saying such a thing, but Sunset approved.
"You're on," said Sunset, and she farted loudly for about four seconds. "Your turn, Twilight!"
Twilight took a deep breath.
PPPPFFFFFFT!
Twilight farted for about five seconds. This fart was high-pitched and wet. She blushed lightly, but giggled, finding this entertaining.
"Not bad, Twilight," said Sunset, and she let out a loud fart that lasted seven seconds.
"I'm not sure I can beat that, but..." Twilight let out another loud fart that lasted five seconds. "You're still winning, aren't you?"
"For now," said Sunset, and she lifted her leg.
BBRRRRRRAAAAAAAAP!
This fart was loud, deep-pitched, and lasted nine seconds. Sunset blushed a little that such a sound could come out of her, but she was still having fun. So was Twilight, even though she was losing, and she no longer felt any shame. Who'd have guessed a farting contest could be so fun? She might have to challenge Rainbow Dash and Pinkie Pie sometime.
Twilight lifted her leg.
PPPPFFFLLLLRRRT!
This fart was boisterous, wet, and lasted six seconds. Twilight giggled a bit, finding her farting to be amusing rather than embarrassing now.
"You're getting there," said Sunset, and she let out a loud fart that was only four seconds long, looking a little disappointed.
Twilight farted silently for about five seconds. Sunset farted loudly for seven seconds. Then Twilight lifted her leg.
BBBBBRRRRRRFFFFFFFLLLLLPPPPTT!
A boisterous, deep-pitched, wet fart exploded out of Twilight's butt, which lasted ten seconds. Twilight quickly checked the back of her pajama pants, and sighed in relief that they were dry. The air was thick with the stench of her fart.
"Wow, Twilight, I think you might have won this contest," said Sunset, fanning the air with her hand. She farted again, for about three seconds. It looked like she was running out of gas.
"You go again," said Twilight. "It's all gone."
This made sense, for Twilight had farted before Sunset. Sunset waited a few moments, and then let out a loud wet fart that lasted six seconds.
PPPPTTTHHHLLLLT!
After that, her gas was gone.
"You win," said Sunset as she opened the window again. The air of the room was thick with the toxic fumes, though Twilight and Sunset didn't mind too much, having had too much fun with their contest.
"That was actually pretty fun," said Twilight. "We should do it again sometime."
"Maybe we should challenge Rainbow Dash and Pinkie Pie," said Sunset. "I'm sure Pinkie would get some fart powder from the joke shop."
"I was just thinking about that," said Twilight. "But not Applejack, Fluttershy, or Rarity."
"No, they don't find it very amusing," said Sunset. "Let's keep it between us, Rainbow, and Pinkie."
After a few minutes, the room smelled clean again, and Sunset closed the window.
Their pajama pants smelled like farts for the next hour or so, but their sleepover continued, which was fun the whole time. Twilight had enjoyed the contest a lot, what could have been a humiliating moment for her instead turned into one of her most fun experiences with Sunset, and she couldn't wait to do it with Rainbow Dash and Pinkie Pie!
