Assassinverse: The Blackest Night

by Joker the Hedgehog
After she is slain in her sleep by Traditionalists, Princess Twilight Sparkle rises again as the leader of the Black Lantern Corps of Equestria. Needless to say, all Hell breaks loose.

The Blackest Night falls from the skies,
The darkness grows as all light dies,
We crave your hearts and your demise,
By my black hand, the dead shall rise!

Twilight Sparkle was Equestria’s newest princess and needless to say a figure of controversy. Her proposed reforms to improve life in Equestria and help it compete in an ever-changing world were… radical to say the least, and generated much hatred from Traditionalists who despised Twilight.

To the point where they killed her in her sleep.

But, as they say, “What dies is never truly gone, but rises again greater and more terrible than ever before.”

Resurrected through a Black Power Ring, Twilight adopts the persona of the Black Lantern, and decides that if the Traditionalists weren’t going to respect her and her reforms, then she’d teach them to fear her instead… and then, she’d feed on that fear to make herself stronger.
