The Tale Of Queen Inferna
Twilight Sparkle was lying on her bed with a book in her hoofs, she had gotten it as a present from Princess Celestia. The princess said Twilight should read it as soon as possible, and the Princess was strangely excited about it. Twilight was okay with it though, she loved reading books and she especially loved reading the books Celestia got her.
"Well, let's get started, if I know the Princess this if going to be good." Twilight said in her mind as she began to open the book with her magic. Twilight opened the book and was amazed by what she saw, all the pages were black with rainbow writing that seemed to glow a bright light. Twilight had never in her life seen a book as amazing as this one, she knew that this was going to be a spectacular story.
"Alright, let's see what this book has to offer," Twilight said with excitement in her voice as she turned to the first page and started reading. Twilight was still taken by the unique pages of the book her mentor, Princess Celestia got her. Twilight began by reading the title of the book first.
"The Tale Of Queen Inferna," Twilight then went silent for about a few moments before finally saying something. "Queen Inferna......SINCE WHEN DID EQUESTRIA HAVE A QUEEN!!??"
Twilight then went back to reading the book, she wanted answers and this book was going to give her them.
5 thousand years ago in the land of Equestria, ponies lived in peace and happiness. They would play and live together all day and night. Every pony was unique and special in their own way, but there was one young and strange mare named Firelight who was different then the rest of the pony's. She lived by herself, in a cave deep inside the Everfree Forest. Firelight was not like the other mares mostly because of her appearance, her body was that of a reptile, the mare had scales over her back, hooves and neck. She had four long and black horns growing from the sides of her head and a long-spiked reptile tail. This was all because she wasn't actually a pony at all.
Firelight was a Kirin, a hybrid of a pony and dragon. Her father was a Fire Dragon named Heat Thrower, who had died when Firelight was only 5 years old. She never meet her mother Sweetshine, who died during child birth. because of her mother, Firelight still had pony qualities. A short and spiky red mane, her coat was orange and she had red beautiful eyes. She liked to wear purple eyeliner to make herself feel more girly. Her cutie mark was a yellow crystal on fire. Because of the way she looked, Firelight was afraid of ever leaving her home.
Firelight was 15 years old, tall and strong. She was able to run and jump with great speed and agility, and was also able to crush rocks with her hooves with great strength. Firelight had magic like unicorns, however her magic is in the form of flames from her four horns. She mostly used her magic to blast away invading creatures who wanted to attack her or invade her home. She learned all she knows from the books that her mother and father left her before they died.
Firelight never needed or even wanted any help from anypony, she could eat from the fruit of the tree's near her home. She had plenty of water from the river a few feet away from her cave and lots of room to run and play around. Firelight did always wanted a friend, but with the way she looked she knew she never be able to get one.
Firelight never talked to any other pony, she was afraid of what they would think of her appearance. She thought that if anypony saw her and how she is, they would freak out and try to capture her, they would put her in a cage and keep her prisoner. She never really needed to leave her home, she had many books to keep her Entertained and enough food for years.
Firelight's cave was vary large, it could probably hold an entire pony house inside. The ground was soft and had flowers growing from it, there was plenty of shade for hot days and had lots of interesting caverns in it. she had plenty of things to keep her comfortable, she had her bed and desk for her room. She also had a big book shelf full of deferent types of books and papers for her to read. The shy red mare had everything she needed to live.
But one unfortunate day she ran out of food. All the fruit on the tree's just disappeared without a trace and the only place to get more was from the giant tree in a nearby village. Firelight knew that when the pony's of that village needed food they would pick from the giant tree, and the fruit of the tree is said to be the most delicious food in the land. she didn't want to wait for the fruit to grow back on the tree's near her home, she would starve to death by then. She had to face her fears and inter the village to get what she needs, Firelight got her bags and left her safe home to enter the Everfree Forest. She was never afraid of the dark forest, but it seemed to be afraid of her. Whenever a large or dangerous creature saw her they would run in fear. She finally got to the other side of the forest after an hour of walking and came to a bridge that went straight to the village.
"Well here it is, might as well get this over with." Firelight said to herself with both fear and hunger in her voice. she hadn't eaten anything all day, her stomach sounded like a roaring dragon.
Firelight started to walk slowly over the bridge, looking straight forward and at the houses that where all bright colors of blue, red and yellow. She finally got to the other side and after a deep breath entered the village. The Kirin nervously continued to walk through the village looking at all the ponies. Looking at all the smiles and hearing the laughter from them, she smelled the flowers growing from the gardens of the nearby houses.
"Wow, I've never seen so many ponies before." Firelight thought in her own head with a smile.
She looked in amaze at all the different pony's all over town, there were old ones, young ones, tall and small ones. Firelight had never been so close to a pony before, let alone a whole town. The young Kirin wanted to say hello, but before she could say a word she was surprised by a voice.
"Hi there!"
Firelight looked behind her in surprised as a blue and young pony suddenly jumped on her and pinned her to the ground. she shook her head and looked at the filly. She was vary young looking, had blue fur and other shades of blue in her mane. She had a blue star cutie mark.
"My name is Starlight!" the young filly exclaimed. "What's your name?"
"What?." Firelight asked nervously.
"Your name silly, you have one right?" Starlight said still on Firelight's stomach.
"F-Firelight." She said still a little scared.
"Firelight? That sounds a lot like my name" Starlight said with happiness in her voice.
"Yeah, it does" Firelight said less fearful now.
"You look amazing! What kind of pony are you?" Starlight asked.
Firelight looked at the pony in confusion, she had never heard someone call her amazing before, she never even talked to another pony. Her whole life she had been afraid of what other pony's might think of her, now this filly is saying she looks amazing. Firelight didn't understand what was happening.
"I'm a Kirin," Firelight said nervously, she only knew what she was from the books she had. Apparently the red mare was not the first of her kind, there has been other Kirin's in the world besides her, although she never meet one.
"A Kirin? what's that?" Starlight asked with amazement in her voice.
"It's a hybrid or fusion of a pony and a dragon." Firelight said bluntly.
"Wow that's awesome!" Starlight screamed with a ton of excitement.
"It is?" Asked Firelight.
"Ya! what can be cooler then a pony that's half dragon!?" Said Starlight vary loudly.
"Yeah, I guess," Firelight said less nervously. "Hey, can you please get of my stomach?"
"Oops," Starlight said as she hopped off of Firelight's stomach, blushing lightly.
Starlight got off Firelight so she could stand, when Firelight got up she looked down at the blue filly with the smile on her face, she was at least 5 feet taller then Starlight, who was barley close to Firelight's nee.
"So why did you paunch at me?" Firelight asked with a frown and left eyebrow raised.
"I wanted to ask you a question" Starlight said with a big wide smile.
Firelight stepped back looking more confused, mostly about the idea of this filly jumping on her just to ask a question.
"And that would be?" asked Firelight.
"Wanna come with me to the dragon parade" asked Starlight.
"The what?!," Firelight asked in shock.
A book with pages turn out is shown, Twilight Sparkle is seen siting on her bed holding the book with a frown on her face.
"Oh pony! the other pages are gone!" Twilight said angrily. "I wanted to read the rest of the story Princess Celestia got me!"
Suddenly the door to her room open, Twilight looked at it and saw her young dragon friend Spike coming in.
"Spike! I told you to knock before going in my room !" Twilight said with a frown. She closed the book and got of her bed, she then walked to her assistant.
"Sorry Twilight," Spike said with a embarrassed face " I came to see if you were ready to go to Canterlot to see the Princess."
"Oh, I almost forgot about that!, I was busy reading the story Princess Celestia got me the last time I was there." Twilight said as she put the book in her traveling bag and tied it around her. "Well, we better get going, don't want to keep her waiting."
Twilight and Spike started to walk out her room and down the hall to the front doors of Twilight's castle.
"So what was so interesting about that story anyway?" Spike asked.
"It's so fascinating, especially the main character Firelight!" said Twilight with a large smile on her face, just remembering it gave her Goosebumps.
"What's so interesting about her?" Spike asked looking suspicious and somewhat interested.
"Well she is a Kirin with fire magic." Twilight said with a smirk.
"Wait, a what?" Spike asked confused.
"I'll tell you about it later." Twilight told him as she prepared a teleportation spell. " First we need to go see Celestia and see what she wants, and maybe get the missing pages of the story."

This is the first part of The Tale Of Queen Inferna, it may be small but its only meant to began the trilogy so keep waiting for more.
I'm still new to writing, but i think i did a pretty good job.
The Tale Of Queen Inferna
Twilight and Spike made it to Canterlot after a few short hours, the teleportation spell didn't work for some reason and they had to take the train. After they walked through all of the streets close to the castle continued there chat about the story Twilight read. Spike was now vary interested in the book, but not nearly as much as Twilight. They finally got to the Royal Castle and walked inside to see Celestia. After being greeted by the guards Twilight and Spike began to walk down the halls and made it to Celestia's chambers.
"Well, let's go in. I have to get the missing pages for this book". Twilight said with excitement in her voice.
"Right Behind you Twilight". Spike said rolling his eye's when he saw Twilight silly face.
The two of them opened the door to Celestia's royal chamber and walked inside. Princess Celestia was seen sitting on her royal couch, reading a few papers that were pilled on her table. After Twilight closed the door Celestia looked up and smiled at them.
"Oh, welcome Twilight and Spike, I have been expecting you. I'm glade you both could make it, especially you Twilight". Celestia said in a happy tone.
Twilight stepped a few feet closer to Celestia then stood still with a smile on her face.
"Thank you Princess, were happy to be here". Said Twilight.
Celestia got off her couch and walked towards the two of them, she then stood in front of Twilight and giggled a little before coming closer to hug Twilight with her left front hoof. Twilight felt a little awkward about the situation, Celestia was acting a little strange. Spike watched the situation in confusion and discomfort.
"Twilight please, you can just call me Celestia". Celestia said with a warming smile.
"Sorry, force of habit". Twilight said with a blush and embarrassment in her voice. "Um, could you please let me go?"
Princess Celestia blushed a bright red and covered her face in embarrassment. "S-Sorry Twilight, I got lost in the moment".
Celestia let Twilight go from the hug, Twilight then giggled a little when she saw the red face Princess Celestia had. Celestia herself started giggling a little louder then Twilight did with her right hoof covering her face. Spike seemed even more uncomfortable then before, he started to wonder what he was even doing there.
"Twilight your adorable!" The Princess said in a vary joyful and sweet voice, almost motherly.
" I am?" Twilight asked surprised and with a look to match her voice.
Spike looked confused himself, while he just stood there not saying anything. Celestia then looked at Spike.
"Spike can you leave us for a moment? There is something I need to talk to Twilight about". Celestia said in a calmer tone.
" Of course your majesty" Spike said bowing his head, then leaving the room and closing the door behind him. Spike was vary grateful he could leave before things got stranger. Celestia waited a moment to make sure Spike was far away from the chamber door then looked at Twilight, who was still a little confused.
" Are you okay, my faithful student?" Celestia asked with concern in her voice.
Twilight looked up at her teacher to see her worrying about her. Twilight didn't want to make her mentor feel upset, so she started to smiled to relax her.
"I'm fine Pri....Celestia ". Twilight said as she corrected herself, when see remembered what her mentor asked her.
"I'm so happy your okay". Celestia said in a happy tone, as she exhaled her breath.
Twilight again blushed at what Celestia said, she never heard her teacher talk to her so sweet before, It was both pleasant yet awkward. Celestia then walked back to her couch and shat down on the right side, she taped the other side with her hoof, signaling Twilight to set next to her.
Twilight looked surprised for a moment, but then she just continued smiling and walked to the spot next to Celestia. Twilight sat down then looked at her teacher still waiting for what Celestia would say.
"Now on to business". Celestia said. "Twilight do you know why I called for you to be here?"
"Not really Celestia, I was just about to ask you". Answered Twilight.
Celestia then looked at Twilight with a serious face. "I have a vary important assignment for you to complete, one that well require all of your skills and more". Celestia said in a more serious manner.
"You do, what is it?" Twilight asked
"I need you to go somewhere far from Canterlot and Ponyville, it is a small village far in the south mountains of Equestria hidden deep within a ancient forest older then the Everfree forest. There I need you to find an item that was stolen from the Royal Palace over 5 thousand years ago". Celestia said in a vary serious voice to Twilight.
Twilight looked at her teacher in complete shock. Twilight was completely speechless of what Celestia had just said and didn't know what to say, finally after about 5 minutes of staring in complete silence she said something.
"Oh.....what?" Was all Twilight could say.
Twilight knew that wasn't a vary good response or answer, but she didn't know what else's to say. Celestia closed her eye's for a moment and took a deep breath to calm herself, she then looked at her student in a comforting smile.
"Maybe I should explain in more detail, I have obviously confused you". Stated Celestia with a wink.
"Ya, that may be a good idea". Said Twilight nervously with a blush.
Celestia wrapped a wing around Twilight to comfort her and gave her a pat on the head with her hoof.
"It's a long story Twilight, a vary long story". Celestia passed then continued. "5 thousand years ago, before me or my sister Luna was even born, there was a Alicorn Queen who protected all of the pony's of Equestria from an unspeakable evil far more powerful then any you or your friends have faced".
"A....queen?" Asked Twilight who was more confused then ever.
"Yes, her name was Queen Galanta and she was more powerful and wise then any alicorn after her". Said Celestia with amazement in her voice.
"She was more powerful then you Celestia, how is that even possible?" Asked Twilight.
Celestia nodded her head and responded.
"Yes, a thousand times more powerful then me, she was actually even more powerful then the Elements Of Harmony". Stated Celestia.
Twilight looked at her in shock, her eye's widened and her mouth opened wide.
"I see your rather surprised". Celestia said with a giggle.
"I...oh...I mean..". Twilight could only stutter from what she heard.
"Ha ha". The princess let out a small laugh. "Twilight your the most adorable pony I know". Celestia said covering her mouth.
Twilight's checks glowed even more red with embarrassment after she heard Celestia call her adorable again.
"Well like I was saying, Queen Galanta was an amazing alicorn, she cared for all living things and loved to help anypony in need". Celestia's horn glowed and created an floating image of the large and golden alicorn.
Twilight looked at the image to see more details. Queen Galanta was vary tall, twice the size of celestia. she had a golden coat and wore a silver neck brace with gems attach to it. she also wore silver boots with a diamond on each one and had a star shaped crown, also covered in jewels. Her tail and mane looked like the galaxy, she had blue glowing eye's and a long sharp horn.
"That's Queen Galanta, princess?" Asked Twilight who was amazed with the beauty of the golden alicorn.
"I can see your impressed with her Twilight, especially with her appearance". Celestia said with both fondness and jealously in her tone.
Celestia made a frown and stopped the magic that was creating the image, after the image of Queen Galanta despaired Twilight let out an moan of disappointment. Twilight looked at her teacher face and saw that she was frowning with red checks.
"Oh Celestia, are you okay?" Asked Twilight.
Celestia lifted her head in surprised then quickly changed her expression.
"Of course...I'm just fine my dear". Said Celestia with embarrassed and covering her face to make sure Twilight didn't see her ruby red face.
Twilight let out a small giggle before the princess toke a deep breath and continued with her story.
"Anyway, Queen Galanta protected all of Equestria from darkness and she did it using a magical item called The Rainbow Ice Crystal". Celestia said now composed.
"Rainbow-Ice-what ?" Asked Twilight.
"The Rainbow Ice Crystal, my dear student, was a crystal with more magical power then even The Elements Of Harmony, and it could only be used by an alicorn". Celestia stated.
"Really, stronger then The Elements?!" Asked Twilight with her eye's widen in shock.
"Yes, The Rainbow Ice Crystal was a item of great power, but with great power comes corruption. There was a pony who wanted that power for herself, so one night she stole the crystal from the queen while she was sleeping". Said Celestia.
Celestia got up from her spot on the couch and walked to a bookshelf, then used her magic to pick up a red book with black spikes on it. Celestia walked back to her spot and shat back next to Twilight, she then opened the book in front of Twilight.
"This is the pony that stool the crystal". Said Celestia as she pointed at the picture with her hoof.
Twilight looked at the picture and was shocked by what she saw, the pony on the page was actually a Kirin, and the same one from the book Celestia got her, Firelight.
"But that's Firelight, she can't have stolen the crystal she's not even a pony, she is a Kirin!". Shouted Twilight.
"She did, and when she took the crystal, she used it to increase her own power and become the most powerful and evil alicorn in the world, Queen Inferna!" Said Celestia.
Twilight looked at Celestia in both shock and disbelief, how could the same character from her book be the most evil pony in the world. Celestia turned a page of the book to show another pony.
"This is what Queen Inferna looks like". Said Celestia.
Twilight looked at the page to see what Queen Inferna looked like. Queen Inferna was as big as Queen Galanta, her coat was grey with red markings on it. She wore black armor on her chest, hoofs and back. Queen Inferna had two red claws on each hoof and two large dragon wings, her tail was that of a dragon with a silver axe at the end. She had sharp teeth and two large fangs coming from her mouth, her mane was in the form of fire. She had red glowing eye's, ten horns and a black crown on her head.
Twilight just stared at the picture of the evil creature while trying to understand what was happening.
"Why did this happen, why did she steal the crystal and why are you telling me all of this Celestia?!" Twilight asked with sadness and frustration in her voice.
"I don't know, it was well before my time and any books we have of it are incomplete or burned. However I can tell you why I am showing you this". Celestia said while trying to comfort Twilight with her wing.
Twilight looked up to Celestia with a sad glare and took a deep breath.
"I need you to go to the village of the story I gave you and retrieve The Rainbow Ice Crystal, with it back into our reach we can defend Canterlot and all of Equestria from any who would try to destroy it". Celestia said with a serious tone.
"But why me, why now?" Asked Twilight.
"Only alicorn's can enter the village, it is protected by a barrier that only lets royal pony's get in or out and I only found out about the crystal myself only a few weeks ago". Said Celestia.
"If only alicorn's can enter the village, then all my friend's won't be able to come with me to help". Said Twilight with worry in her voice.
"That's right". Said Celestia.
"But how can I get the crystal back without them?" Asked Twilight.
"You well not need them, you simple need to go into the village and retrieve the crystal, then bring it back here". Said Celestia with a smile.
Twilight looked back at Celestia and saw the kind smile she was giving, then she smiled herself feeling better.
"You can count on me!" Twilight said confidently.
"I know I can, you are my greatest student". Said Celestia.
Both Celestia and Twilight got up from the couch and walked to the door. Celestia stopped at the front of it and opened the left door with her magic, Twilight walked through it and turned to the princess.
"Good luck my faithful student, I know you'll complete this task". Said Celestia.
"I well Celestia". Said Twilight.
"Before you go I have something for you". Said Celestia.
"What's tha...". Twilight was cut of with a shocking surprise, Celestia had lend down to Twilight's face and kissed her check. After a few seconds Celestia lifted her head away from Twilight who was in shock.
"that was for luck my cute little sparkle, have a pleasant journey". Celestia said with a giggle, she then walked back a few steps and closed the chamber door.
Twilight just stood there with her mouth open and eye's widen, after a while she finally said something.
"She...she...she just kissed me!!!" Twilight said to herself in both surprise and terror.
Back inside of the princesses chamber, Celestia was heading for her bed while removing her royal clothes. She placed her royal attire in the appropriate places and then got on her bed. Celestia was thinking about everything she had told Twilight and all the things she wanted to tell her. Celestia knew the task she gave her student was vary dangerous, but she knew Twilight was the right pony for the job. Celestia knew Twilight would complete the mission and come back safe, that is what Celestia believed in her heart.
"Oh little Twilight, I promise you'll be just fine. And when you return, I shall finally say what I have wanted to say to you the day we first meet." Celestia used her magic to turn of the lights and cover herself with her blanket. Celestia closed her eye's and smiled happily.
Celestia slowly drifted to sleep. She dreamt of her ruling Equestria, she was holding the Rainbow Ice Crystal with her magic and was wearing the most beautiful dress anypony ever saw. The most notable thing was the mare standing next to Celestia, who was wearing an weeding dress that seemed to shine as bright as an diamond. The mare lifted her head and is revealed to be Twilight Sparkle.
Back in the real world Celestia was sleeping with a smile on her face. "You well be mine Twilight, and I'm never letting you go.....never," Celestia said in her sleep as she continued to dream her happy dream.
