The school day was the same as ever for the Cutie Mark Crusaders. The same, that is, right up until Miss Cheerilee just disappeared. Was it an illusion? A practical joke? Then where did the Princess go? The Mayor? The farmers? The marketponies?

Everypony is gone, except for all of the children. At first, it seems kinda cool. No adults to tell you what to do. No rules, no bedtime, no chores. But then, things start to go wrong.

Food begins to run out. Animals start to mutate. Some children begin to change. Ponyville will never be the same after this.
