Chapter 11: Allies and Recruits

After gearing back up I went to look for Daisy to see how she and the girls were doing or how they reacted to their mother in Power Armor. Safe to say both were going over the armor quite closely. I actually giggled when I saw them almost literally climbing all over Daisy’s armored back looking at everything they could without dismantling the armor which I'm glad to say Daisy said no to them on that. “Ah so here you are Gunny I was hoping you would have at least brought your girls to work we got supplies to distribute after all plus I’m expecting the Head of security to be hunting you down on the Prices for ammo as well as weapons and speak of the Chief and here she is.” I said.

“Oh hello General Ladies not having any trouble are we?” She asked.

“No ma’am no trouble just saying hi to my fillys letting them know I’m still kicking so to speak.” Daisy replied.

“Oh? I didn’t know you had Fillies here in the tower? And you are? Asked the Security Chief.

“Daisy Streaks Formerly of the Steel Rangers of Manehattan Former trader leader incharge of security Mother of these two, also Quartermaster for the Equestrian Airguard under General Cloud Striker.” Daisy replied.

“Oh good I’ve been looking for you. I would like to acquire ammo and weapons for tower security.” She said,

“Really now how interesting considering how I knew you were going to search one of us out for such considering your predecessors hounding of my ponies trying to acquire ammo we had on our last stop here trying to get all of it even though what we carried on us was not for sale or even up for trade considering the weapons we equipped on our battlesadles we had personal ammo that wasn't up for sale or even trade especially since we had no clue what we would be facing out there we had what supplies we could carrie to restock our saddles should we run low now that we are here to open trade relations with the tower the first thing you are looking for is to acquire ammo and weapons to outfit your security. Trades will be opened shortly. The Gunny here will handle all trade deals when it comes to ammo and arms for she is the quartermaster and a former trader that serviced this tower with her husband. Her two daughters are residents of this tower and she was visiting them to see how they were doing and what they possibly needed that we could provide of course nothing comes freely in the wasteland now does it bartering for goods or supplies can be a difficult process if I remember correctly deals are made goods exchanged services provided so on so forth.” I replied, getting a nod of agreement from the chief of security.

“So wait for your turn please the armors have a chance to acquire needed material for their business come see Daisy when she has a chance to set up and place some of the trade good on display she’s only one pony after all, she can't be everywhere at once or even to service everypony at one time we will of course do business with security for you have a tough job to do I understand it all to well for I've been in the military for a very long time I know the ins and outs of security work done enough of it for a half dozen liftimes.” I commented.

Looking around at the armors in the store I couldn’t help but smile.

“Looks like you girls are doing well even if most of your business so far has been with Security and the few Traders or merchants that come through anyway I have armor that could help speak to your mom about it when she’s had time to properly set up. Have you thought about what was talked about on our last visit to the tower about Caravans?” I asked, getting nods from both girls.

“We have and are looking for somepony to put in charge of the goods and find somepony to put in charge of security for said caravan. We don’t want to be completely reliant on your group for protection but we will keep your unit or units as an option for that roll.” they said, getting a nod from me.

“Understandable, I don't blame you at all for wishing to complete something on your own. Take it you’ll be hiring for the trader position as well considering you can’t both leave the tower to do the route or is it that you can’t leave because you both work in conjunction with each other.” I said.

“We work in conjunction with each other when it comes to the armors we make.” They replied in sync.

I looked at the two of them then to Daisy and the ceiling “Oh sweet Celestia and Luna there doing the twin thing that can drive ponies mad if not careful.” I sighed in reply, getting giggles out of the girls.

I turn to them after a giggle myself “Anyway Lifebloom is talking to the others about the Cheese shop offered up to the Airgard by Littlepip as a supply port and Recruiter station, we may need to do so in Friendship city as well that way we can get more ponies out there helping there is only so much we can do on our own. Girls if you happen to get somepony willing to do your caravan route can you have them pass the work around that we're looking for a few good ponies that wish to help but don’t know how to go about it?” I asked them.

“Sure General.” Rosey replied.

“Anyway we should be getting back to the Tortuous so we can get things in place one of you should come with us to the Tortuous so you can get the things we brought for your shop.” I said, getting a nod from them.
