“This is entirely your fault!”
“My fault? This is your fault!”
The white and pink filly tumbled over each other, caught in a tumble as they rolled over each other to get the upper hoof.
“Hi. I’m Sweetie Belle if you didn’t know. Of course you probably didn’t know, this is a story after all and there’s no pictures so in case you were wondering, the other pony in the intro to this story is Diamond Tiara.”
“Now you might be thinking, ‘Oh, Sweetie Belle and Diamond Tiara are having a fight, that’s not an interesting story.’ Well that is just the end of the story. Like I said, this is a story so you definitely didn’t know that Diamond Tiara and I are the size of the Town Hall, each.”
“What’s that? Two giant ponies having a rumble in town? Interested now? Well you should be but it wasn’t as simple as the two of us growing to giant sizes and deciding to fight. That would be a boring story. It actually started back at Twilight’s castle when I came across one of Twilight’s many spell books.”
Sweetie Belle was sitting at the table in Twilight’s library, quickly flicking through the pages. Her attention was suddenly caught by a sketch of a Unicorn, with a tiny drawing and giant drawing of the same pony drawn on a scale from smallest to largest.
“Twilight?” Sweetie Belle raised her hoof, trying to get Twilight’s attention. “What’s this spell?”
Twilight flew down from the top shelf and had a look at the page.
“That’s a size altering spell. You can use it to grow or shrink yourself”
Sweetie Belle looked back at the page and noticed that the Unicorn’s horn was drawn in proportion to its giant size.
“If you were a giant though, would your magical powers increase?”
“Some have thought so, but your horn is just a conduit of your magic and your magic is limited to your own abilities. Having a larger horn doesn’t give you more magic, your magic power doesn’t increase but having a smaller horn, limits how much magic you can emit from yourself.”
“So what would happen if you accidently shrank yourself?”
“Unless you’re excessively talented or very advanced in magic, it might be a bit too difficult to revert the spell.”
“Well how’s that for exposition for you?
“That was only the start but there’s still a lot more to go. At least another… three pages worth, at least.”
“After that, I had my first encounter in this story with Diamond Tiara at school the next day. We should skip ahead to then, unless you’re interested in the time between days. You know, when I was sleeping.”
Sweetie Belle laid still as she laid on her back, her pillow was tilted and the covers covered only her lower half as her hooves were spread out across the bed. Her mouth was open wide as she snored loudly.
“See? Boring stuff so let’s move on to tomorrow.”
Sweetie Belle, Applebloom and Scootaloo were all grouped together by the swings at school. Scootaloo was leaning against the bars of the swing set. Applebloom sat on the ground next to Scootaloo and Sweetie Belle swayed on one of the seats, kicking her hooves back and forth just above the ground.
“What are you blank flanks doing on the swing sets. Didn’t anyone ever tell you they’re only for ponies that have their marks?”
“Oh, I forgot to mention, me and my friends don’t have our marks just yet and Diamond Tiara is still a huge bitch. That would probably make more sense in why we are fighting in the end.”
Diamond Tiara walked up behind the Cutie Mark Crusaders, taking position on the other swing whilst Silver Spoon stood by the bars on the opposite side from the others.
“Leave us alone Diamond Tiara, we have every right on the swing set as anyone else.”
Diamond Tiara’s attention was no focused on Sweetie Belle. She didn’t like when others talked back to her.
“What was that… Blank flank?”
“Ya’ll heard her, leave us alone.”
“This doesn’t involve you country bumpkin.”
“Yeah, no one talks to Diamond Tiara like that.”
“I don’t need you to explain for me Silver Spoon!”
Silver Spoon’s ears dropped instantly as she lowered her head and stood back.
The school bell began to ring. Scootaloo, Applebloom and Silver Spoon began to make their way to class. Sweetie Belle was about to hop off the swing but Diamond Tiara grabbed her hoof with her own to stop her.
“You three head off to class, Sweetie Belle and I need to have a little chat.”
Scootaloo and Applebloom weren’t interested in leaving their friend behind but Sweetie Belle gave them a little nod. Silver Spoon began to push Scootaloo and Applebloom along, but they willingly left due to Sweetie Belle’s decision.
“Let me explain something to you. Your sister might be one of Equestria’s heroes and such, but you, you’re nothing special and between the two of us. I’m better than you in everyway. I’m smarter, cuter, richer and even taller than you.”
‘Taller…’ The thought ran through Sweetie Belle’s mind for a moment before a smile crept across her lips.
“I’m fairly certain I’m taller than you.”
“No, you’re not.”
Sweetie Belle smile grew as she enveloped Diamond Tiara in a green glow.
“Hey! What do you think you’re doing!?”
Diamond Tiara grabbed Sweetie Belle’s hoof in an attempt to stop her from what she was planning.
“Oh no wait!”
Sweetie Belle tried to pull her hoof away, but she was quickly enveloped in her own magic and only a moment later, the two fillies dwindled in size, shrinking to the size of tiny pebbles in the school yard.
“Bet you thought I was going to grow myself a little bit then and there, but I thought it would have been easier to shrink Diamond Tiara an inch or two but when she grabbed me, I panicked and shrunk ourselves into tiny ponies.”
“This is when the story starts to get more interesting, at least for you, the reader. Not so much for me, having to go through all this and with Diamond Tiara no less.”
“Look what you’ve done now! I demand you change me back this instant!”
Sweetie Belle didn’t have any interest in following Diamond Tiara’s orders, but even she knew this was way smaller than it should have been. Sweetie Belle surrounded herself in her magic, ready to grow herself back to normal.
“Not so fast!” Diamond Tiara wrapped her hoof around Sweetie Belle’s. “You’re not leaving me this small while you grow back to normal.”
Sweetie Belle sighed but allowed her magic to cover the both of them.
“Nothing’s happening, do it already.”
“I can’t…”
“What do you mean ‘you can’t’?”
“With my horn so much smaller than my capable magic, I can’t use enough of it to grow us back.”
“Well you better come up with a plan. I don’t want to be crushed by some careless pony.”
The ground began to rumble, as a shadow loomed over the tiny ponies. A grey pillar of a hoof came down between the two, nearly crushing them both.
“Diamond Tiara? Miss Cheerilee sent me out here to get you.”
“Silver Spoon! Down here!”
Diamond Tiara leapt up and down, waving her hooves but Silver Spoon’s head didn’t even descend a glare in her direction. Sweetie Belle instead was already clinging to Silver Spoon’s hoof, ready to hit a ride into the safety of the school house rather than the dangers outside.
Silver Spoon turned to return. That was when Diamond Tiara noticed Sweetie Belle on her hoof. Acting quickly to avoid being left behind, Diamond Tiara leapt onto Silver Spoon’s hind hoof just before it too walked off with her.
“I’m sorry Miss Cheerilee, she’s not out there.”
“And Sweetie Belle?”
“Huh? Oh, yeah she wasn’t there either.”
Silver Spoon had forgotten she was meant to collect them both but it didn’t make much difference anyway. She sat at her desk, her hind hooves dangled over the floor boards whilst her fore hooves were placed on the desk.
Sweetie Belle let go from Silver Spoon’s hoof and jumped onto the desk. She attempted to wave and scream but even being this close to her face, she still wasn’t noticed. Miss Cheerilee however, had much larger ears. Maybe she would notice her.
Sweetie Belle looked around, trying to find a way down. The only thing nearby was some papers that were strewn across Silver Spoon’s desk. She ran over and ripped off a corner, not that noticeable to a pony of full size but to her, it was large enough to use like a parachute.
“Oh I hope this works…”
Sweetie Belle charged to the edge, the paper in her teeth. The clacking of her hooves on the desk was replaced with quietness as she ran off the edge. She grabbed a corner of the piece of paper in each hoof and lurched as she was suddenly caught in the air, slowly gliding across the class towards Cheerilee’s desk.
Diamond Tiara hung by a couple of strands of fur on the tip of Silver Spoon’s hoof, hanging over the floor. She inhaled and let go, falling the small distance to the ground, landing on her rump.
She got up, rubbing her rear in pain as she huddled over on her other three legs, out from under Silver Spoon’s desk.
“Where is that Sweetie Belle now?”
A quick shadow flew across from above. Diamond Tiara looked up and saw Sweetie Belle gliding through the air, heading towards Cheerilee.
“Trying to snitch on me first huh? Not if I beat you there.”
Diamond Tiara ran at full speed towards Cheerilee, taking the short cut under the desks of the other students. She ran under chairs, between hooves and even under them. As she ran under Applebloom’s hooves, all she could see was the dirt in her soles.
“Ugh… Worst possible thing is being stepped on by that.”
Diamond Tiara had just reached Cheerilee’s desk and looked up just in time to see Sweetie Belle glide on top. She turned back to the ground and run underneath. Cheerilee, being an adult, reached the ground when she sat, making this a whole heap easier for Diamond Tiara as she began to climb the fur on Cheerilee’s hoof.
Sweetie Belle crashed down on the desk, tumbling over herself as the paper she used, flew off without her.
“Miss Cheerilee!”
Sweetie Belle leapt up and waved her hooves but over Cheerilee’s own talking as she taught the class, there was just no getting her to notice her. Looking around for another plan, Sweetie Belle noticed a small, pink speck on Cheerilee’s stomach.
Diamond Tiara had made it past her waist and now crawled up Cheerilee’s stomach. The random growling and gurgling from the other side was a little off putting, giving Diamond Tiara thoughts of being swallowed alive by the giant teacher. But she needed to get her attention before Sweetie Belle.
A couple of the students decided to pass a note around, eventually passing it along to Silver Spoon.
“Silver Spoon!” Cheerilee stood straight up on her hind hooves as her fore hooves slammed into the desk. “Are you passing notes around?”
Silver Spoon didn’t know what else to do so she placed the note on the desk.
“I’ll see you after class.”
The sudden leap in the air threw off Diamond Tiara as she slipped from Cheerilee’s stomach and began to plummet. She screamed but there were inaudible to all as she crashed down on a hard surface.
It was hard to believe she had survived the fall, but she wasn’t complaining. Although when she got back to normal size, she was thinking of enforcing all the school chairs to have padding.
She looked up and high above her, two large, purple orbs, jiggled above. Unaware of the danger she was in, Diamond Tiara was mesmerised by the sight and didn’t notice as they came down on her.
Cheerilee sat back down on her chair, feeling and odd pinch in her cheeks. She rubbed her rear on the chair, feeling a little more comfortable as she continued to teach.
Sweetie Belle however, was pinned by the soft flesh of Cheerilee’s sole as it was slammed on the desk. The soft under hoof pinched its tiny captive in its soft embrace, almost like it was sucking her into itself.
Cheerilee continued her lesson, unaware of the two ponies trapped on her body. She got up and walked around the class as she spoke, her rump swaying side to side, gently crushing Diamond Tiara whilst her hoof pressed down on Sweetie Belle with each step she took.
“Ok, I’m going to stop this part of the story right now because it is literally just the two of us being tortured by Miss Cheerilee all day. Nothing interesting happened until the end of the day.”
Cheerilee sat at her desk, grading papers whilst Silver Spoon sat at her desk, staring at the clock. There was still another 20 minutes left for her detention.
“Woops. Forgot about that. Let’s skip ahead another, 25 minutes or so.”
Cheerilee strolled down the street, a saddle bag hung over her back filled with books. The weight did not help Sweetie Belle’s current condition.
Taking a turn, Cheerilee made her way up the stairs to Twilight’s castle. Her hoof slammed on the front door as she knocked. The cold stone of the door contrasted with the body heat of Cheerilee’s hoof on Sweetie Belle’s body.
The door creaked open as a purple dragon opened the door.
“Hi Spike, just here to return some books to Twilight’s library.”
“Great, Twilight was expecting you.”
Cheerilee began to walk into the castle when Spike put a claw up to stop her.
“Sorry, the castle is a bit hard to keep clean. Do you mind wiping your hooves.”
Cheerilee scrubbed her hooves along the door mat, cleaning them of all debris before stepping inside. Sweetie Belle was left behind among the strands of bristles that made up the mat.
Sweetie Belle was quick to recover and made a mad dash for the door as it slowly closed behind Cheerilee. She leapt out from the bristles but the door had already slammed shut. Placing her hooves on the door, Sweetie Belle attempted in pushing the door open, but of course, there was no chance of that happening.
“How am I going to get in now…”
Sweetie Belle looked the door up and down before crawling underneath.
“Note to self. Don’t tell anyone.”
As she scurried down the long hallways of the castle, the echoed voices of Cheerilee and Twilight rang through the crystal like walls. When Sweetie Belle finally managed to reach the library, to her surprise, Cheerilee was still there. It didn’t make much difference. If anything, it was out of pity that she would have to tell Twilight about Diamond Tiara’s position.
Twilight stood by the table, putting the many books Cheerilee had returned, away. Sweetie Belle rushed over, jumping on and beginning her ascension up the purple princess’ leg. Just as she reached the bend in Twilight’s leg, Twilight raised her hooves onto the desk to get a better view higher up as she placed some top shelf books away.
Sweetie Belle gave a heavy sigh before climbing back down Twilight’s hoof towards the desk. Having put away the books from the top the shelf, Twilight hopped back down to the ground. Sweetie Belle growled, being by the sole of Twilight’s hoof. She gave a heavier sigh before climbing back up again.
“You forgot this one Twilight.”
Cheerilee pushed a book across the desk to Twilight who got back up on the desk to put away.
“Dumb hooves!”
Sweetie Belle screamed, giving up and letting go of Twilight’s hooves as she fell towards the desk. Luckily it wasn’t too far a fall, but it still hurt when she fell on the hard, wooden table.
Twilight was already back in her book as Cheerilee stood back up.
“I’d better be going. Thank you for lending me those books.”
Twilight waved goodbye to Cheerilee as she took off into the hallway. Sweetie Belle however climbed up onto Twilight’s book. Once Twilight looked back, she yelped, jumping up at the sight of the tiny pony.
“Sweetie Belle? Weren’t you listening when I told you not to mess with that size altering spell?”
Twilight lifted the tiny filly up to her ears so she could listen to Sweetie Belle’s side of the story. As the tiny pony squeaked her story into Twilight’s ear, Twilight cheeks glowed a bright red before she placed Sweetie Belle back on the table.
“Oh Cheerilee! I need to see you in private!”
Twilight ran out the library, chasing after the teacher before she left the castle. She returned a minute or two later with a tiny pink filly floating through the air. She placed Diamond Tiara down by Sweetie Belle. The first thing Sweetie Belle noticed was the smell of sweat, then the fact that Diamond Tiara’s mane was matted and frizzed.
“Just wait til my father hears about this…”
Twilight dropped a book onto the table, the same book Sweetie Belle had been reading the other day. She flipped through the pages, quickly finding the size altering spell. Her magical aura covered the tiny fillies and in moments, the two of them were back to their regular size again.
“Now you two wait here while I get you a towel to clean up with.”
Twilight left, heading off to the bathroom whilst Diamond Tiara gave Sweetie Belle an evil look. Sweetie Belle instead, was peeking back at the book. Shrinking Diamond Tiara was a bad idea, but growing herself a few centimetres would be much easier.
As Sweetie Belle’s horn began to glow, Diamond Tiara was already on her, attempting to stop her.
“You’re not shrinking me again!”
The two rolled across the table, unaware as they began to grow, now larger than an adult.
“I wasn’t going to now let me go!”
The two of them rolled into the wall, smashing through it and falling onto one of the buildings in town. Ponies in the streets panicked and ran as the giant fillies tussled. Diamond Tiara had Sweetie Belle pinned, pushing her back into another building as Sweetie Belle swiped at her, knocking her off and rolling on top, pinning Diamond Tiara into another civilian’s home.
“Now this is where we left off at the start of this story. Even I don’t know what happens after this so your guess is as good as mine.”
Sweetie Belle had her hooves on one side of Diamond Tiara’s face as she pressed her face into the ground. Diamond Tiara managed to squeeze her hind legs up to her chest and kick out, launching Sweetie Belle across town.
Sweetie Belle landed against Sugar Cube Corner, her fore hooves spread out across the roof. She got back to her hooves and ripped off the roof of Carousel Boutique, pulling it back ready to throw.
“Wait what!?”
Sweetie Belle looked at the roof she held above her head before looking back at the destruction she and Diamond Tiara had caused. It seemed that as Sweetie Belle stopped and noticed what had happened, Diamond Tiara also noticed that she too was a giant pony who had destroyed a portion of the city along with Sweetie Belle.
Twilight flew between the two; her face expressed anger is a way that Sweetie Belle had never seen before.
“You two are coming with me…”
“And so here I am, no longer a giant pony, unaware of the destruction I was causing.”
“Sweetie Belle? Who are you talking to?”
“No one Rarity…”
“Well keep it down in there. You’re surprisingly loud for your size.”
Sweetie Belle looked out the cage Twilight had confined her to, not at the same size as she was when she shrunk herself but still small enough to be unable to grow herself back.
“Will Twilight grow me back yet?”
“She said she will when she believes you won’t try to grow yourself again. Until then, this is how you’ll be grounded.”
Rarity walked off, leaving Sweetie Belle behind in her cage.
“Yeah, I lied. I knew what was going to happen next. I just didn’t want to ruin the story. But it’s ok, I’m sure Twilight will grow me back to my original size soon enough… I hope."
