Ending my internal debate immediatley, i shook my head and walked into the town, my face going cold as i, for the first time, saw this seemingly new worlds inhabitants - Talking, Walking anthropomorphic ponies. My prior suspicions having been confirmed - I had been teleported into that show, MLP:FIM. I sighed under my mask as people began to look and stare at me, although i was long since used to it because of how everyone looked at me due to how different i was in London.
I knew for a fact that i had none of their currency, as pound coins wont work and i highly doubt they would accept a can of monster for anything they might sell, although i do have 8 of them. The roads were slowly beginning to transition from Dirt to Concrete roads, as i thought about a possible lack of funding in this town. I was STILL getting stares as the townsfolk looked at me - Some in fear, some in curiosity.
I noticed a large building that looked eerily similar to a church without a steeple in the center of a round-a-bout, which was when i spotted a carriage being pulled by 2 ponies. They made it look easy, and considering the lack of Wings or Horns i could understand why it might be so easy for them. No-one had questioned my motives so far, but as i went to cross the road to the church-type thing, i noticed 2 key features that i missed - A large wooden sign out front with notes on it and A LOT of security. Albeit weak, Spear-wielding security, Security none-the-less
Walking over to the board, i noted a few other ponies, most of which are male, milling about around it, looking at it or its contents, or just chatting. As i got close enough to begin to read, i heard one of them begin speaking, and at their tone alone i scowled under my gas mask.
"Oh look! Another reject looking for jobs!" He said cockily in a Bostonian accent as his 2 unicorn buddies grinned and nodded, to which i simply sent him a death-glare, which was only made creepy by the gas mask
"What. Do. You. Want." I seethed. I hated bullies or cocky people to the point where i will actively avoid or ignore them, but as this is my first time here, i felt as though i needed to socialize to get a feel for the place.
It was clear through the gas mask because of how slowly i said it, but he was faking to be stupid, pretending he didn't hear it in order to annoy me for his own amusement. Pathetic. "What's that? Mumbles? I'm not... er... Fluent in that language!" He stated proudly as the word popped into his head.
Now was when i took a better look at the trio, others having gathered around to spectate. The leader, or the Pegasus, had Light blue fur and green hair, along with deep red eyes and a picture of a colour palette on his shirt. Was it how they presented their cutie-marks here? On patches on their clothes? He wore a blue shirt with blue jeans, no shoes like i wore, instead going bear foo- no, wouldn't it be bear hoof now?
Enough senseless rambling about grammatical punctuality, onto the next douche - A unicorn with black fur and White hair, steely eyes adding to the mix. He wore a white shirt and Blue jeans, a Picture of a pure-white brush-head slightly blending in with the shirt. The last guy was simple, to say the least. He had red fur and dark red hair, wearing a red shirt and blue jeans. On said red shirt there was a simple blank canvas. He was simple and was essentially a computer without coding. You give him some set rules to follow and he will, just as he was following around his programmer, the Pegasus.
Taking my bag off of my back i crouched down and opened it, the cans of Monster being the first thing i see. Taking off both my helmet and gas mask and shoving them into the bag, i took out a can of Monster Rossi and sealed the bag at its zips before putting it on my back, my wings back to being held captive by the bag. The Buzzsaw simply bounced against my bag as i moved, and it was MUCH heavier than usual. Standing up and looking at them with a cold, unamused face i cracked open the can and took a quick swig of the lovely drink.
"Do you honestly think your funny?" I said without a hint of emotion in my voice, the crowd around me seemingly surprised by my hostility
"If i wasn't funny, then why would my friends laugh at my jokes?" He said in a smug voice as the surrounding crown began to chatter
"The only reason they laugh is because they have nothing better to do. Just like how you currently have nothing better to do other than annoy some random person for fun. It's pathetic how your so bored, probably from being a spoilt brat, that you NEED to go around and annoy people for the sole reason of amusement of alone" I stated once again before continuing to drink my Monster Rossi, my new ears twitching slightly from the energy. Usually this wouldn't give me much of an energy buff, but now i feel GREAT!
He clenched his hand into a fist and glared at me, his arms shaking in rage. Oh how easy it was to piss people off in this world - It's any internet trolls paradise. I gave him a smirk as he rushed me blindly, to which i sidestepped. I can evade easily, but i couldn't really fight. Because i sidestepped him he fell to the floor, his wings splaying out. He went to get up, which was when i pushed him down with my shoe covered hoof "What's your name?" I asked simply
"Dreary Palette" He scowled, still struggling under the pressure of my foot. I looked towards his compadres and motioned for them to answer the same question i had asked their friend on the floor here. "Loud Brush" The first one replied, before the other one told me the most obvious name ever "Blank Canvas".
I removed my foot from Dreary's back. allowing him to quickly rush up and to his 'Friends' "Please leave the area immediatley" I said before swiping a piece of paper from the board and walking off, the crowd having withered away. I saw a small pony with a camera rush up to me as i finished my drink. I spotted a bench nearby and sat down on it. looking at the piece of paper i had grabbed. I had the can in my hands and as i didn't know how rare Aluminium was here.
The kid that was running up to me quickly snapped a photo of my face as i looked at him oddly. As soon as he got the shot he zipped off before i could say anything. 'Damn, kids are fast here' I thought as i continued reading everything on the piece of paper. Nothing worth my time, as there was no way in hell i was going to go become a delivery boy. I sighed and spotted a sign saying 'Metal Trader'. I immediatley grinned at this and jogged into the store, can in hand.
Aluminium was a metal. Not once throughout the show, which i watched up to season 4 (I was about to begin season 5 before i got 'here' or wherever 'here' is) had i seen a single piece of Aluminium, so i could only assume it was rare. I walked casually into the store as i heard a bell above me, used to notify an owner of when customers are entering their store.
"Welcome to the Metal trader, how may i help you today?" An old yet seemingly light voice said as it echoed around the almost empty store
"How rare is aluminium?" I asked quickly, trying to maintain composure, but failing at the sheer prospect of, and i quote from what a good friend of mine would have said 'Lot'sa dosh'
He looked at me oddly "I thought everyone knew that Aluminium was ra-" I interrupted him immediatley "How much does scrap aluminium go for?" I asked him.
"It depends, really" He said calmly, completely fine with me interrupting him and asking to many questions. I slammed the can down onto the table as he raised an eyebrow at its odd coloring "Well... With all this fine writing and such, i could probably buy it off you and smelt it for a good 450 b-" I simply raised a hand, before lowering it "Done."
With a can gone from my hand and 450 Bits in my pocket, i walked into a store with the name of 'Geographical Needs' located near that board, to find maps. Using a map would not only allow me to find out where i was without asking, but it would also allow me to see where i could go and what's around. I looked around the store to see that they sold maps, hiking equipment and a multitude of other things.
The only thing i looked at were the maps. There were 5 variants of the map - A small detailed one that sold for roughly 5 bits, a Medium size one with more detail for 15, a Large one with just as much detail as the medium for 20 and a large yet extremely detailed one for 35 bits. The 5th variant was a kids colour-it-in map, and i didn't even want to see the price for it. The first and last thing i would ever buy from this store will be the Large detailed one. Buying it from the cashier politely with him asking about my accent in idle curiosity, i walked out with my new map in hand.
If i could describe this weird hell in 4 words, it would be Odd, Profitable, Hospitable and Insane. Nothing more, nothing less
