You are an unlucky unicorn, who happened to become housemates with a pegasus who's lust for carnal pleasure is unmatched by any in Equestria: Cloudkicker. It really seems like another lifetime, looking back on your arrival to Ponyville. That was well over a year ago, and things can, and do change quickly in such a small town.

Rewinding the clock eight long months, Cloudkicker had woken up to her own personal nightmare, in the the form of two bars on a simple white stick. The mare's hedonistic nightlife had given her a foal, and no help to raise it. You, despite the advice of nearly the entire town, remained her housemate, and volunteered to help her until she had her new family member in her hooves.

Your kindness held no foreseeable recompense, and pitted against your own rubbish luck, and Cloudkicker's infinite wails of displeasure, you were now only four months away from seeing your promise through to its end. Yet, you couldn't help but feel as if your actions would be rewarded someway, somehow.
