Scootaloo's newest trick goes only a little wrong… resulting in the death of diamond tiara. Enter the grim reaper. Now it's up to the cmc to find the perfect deal to save Diamond.
One catch: what could be equal in value to a ponies soul?
Maybe… it's something less materialistic… maybe, it's something right up the cutie-marked CMC alley.

"So... tell me again, what happened?" A stunned Twilight asked, looking from the translucent Diamond Tiara, to Scootaloo, to the pony in a dark hooded-robe holding a scythe.

"My latest scooter trick accidentally killed Diamond Tiara, and now we need to make a deal with mr. Death here to save her!" Scootaloo exclaimed.

"What kind of deal?" Twilight asked.

"We'll give him something in exchange for DIamond Tiara's soul."

"But what could possibly be worth the value of a soul?!?" Twilight exclaimed. "The most skilled alchemists can't overcome equivalency for a soul, so how could we?!?"

"Well... I mean, this isn't just any old soul, it's Diamond Tiara... so if anything, he should be giving us somthing to take her off his hooves."

"SCOOTALOO!!!" Twilight admonished.

"What? I'm just sayin'..."

"Look, I have more stops to do," Death finally spoke. "So I'll be taking Diamond here, and be on my way." He then raised up the scythe in his hooves, ready to reap his harvest.

"WAIT! There's got to be somthing you want!" Scootaloo cried.

"Look, it's not like I want to do this, rules are rules. It's always sad when a child dies early." Then, Scootaloo realized something.

"What if you're looking at your job wrong?" Scoots exclaimed. All around her wore confused faces.

"What?" Death asked.

"What if you're not supposed to take people this early? What if, you take them when they're ready?" Death snickered at this.

"Most are never ready for a visit from me." Death sighed.

"Ok, here's the deal. If me and my friends can make you feel good about your job, then you bring Diamond back, sound good?" Scootaloo extended her hoof for a shake, and Death looked thoughtful for a moment.

"You know what? You've convinced me. I'll go on with my list for 24 hours, and then I'll come back and you can try to make me feel good about killing things." Death snickered.

"Deal!" Scootaloo said, shaking Death's hoof, as a pale blue flame engulfed the shake (without injury to either). Death turned and began to trot off.

"Good luck!"
