GoodNightGoodDay

by BLUWAILS
starlight glimmer has decided to fix what she has broken...

With a low groan Starlight glimmer heaved herself out of bed again.
This was the 5th night of work this month, and it was now becoming apparent that this job was way over her head.
Gathering up Crystal, bobbles, paper and spellbooks she fumbled them into her saddlebags with a loud yawn," one more night and I'll take a break." She grumbled looking at her reflection in the reflective surface of the walls. large bags draped sadly under her eyes ,her mane was frazzled and matted to one side of her head, and a nice long dry line of saliva stretched from her right side up her cheek.
This is how it's been for the past 2 months waking in the middle of the night, sneaking out of her room, sneaking past the library careful not to wake Twilight, and traversing Twilight's maze like halls to the heart of her castle ,the table.
Since being accepted as Twilight's protashea, a heavy cloak of guilt hung over her Since her Redemption. she has come to witness the tables fritzing and flickering during multiple meetings with the other elements of harmony. she'd ruin the Cutie map with her selfish endeavors. Though Twilight has repeatedly said it was fine, Starlight knew it wasn't.
What if the map needed them? and because of her-
She shook her head as she slumped the bag over and off her shoulders, " it would be fixed by then or I won't rest till it is."
Emptying the contents of her bag, she placed purified crystals ,once again ,on the center of the table and around it. she had used dozens so far and none of them worked well enough to remove Starswirled's Magical imprint on it. Letting her magic flow she passed her grip through the center Crystal into the table which in tandom activated the other spread around it.
"He wasnt called the best for nothing." She graoned bracing herself for a wave upon crippling wave of proctive magic. She had to siv thru the magic in the table carefully while at the same time search for traces of the spell and pluck them from within and place them in the crystal surrounding table. It sounded simple enough at the beginning until she realized how complexed both the table and the spell really were. The table has thousands upon thousands of spells stacked and embedded into every glimmer of the table. while, Starswirled's magic broke into multiple moving parts that were each unique and complex which added another layer of complexity. Starswirled's spell was more like scattered stars within the expanse of space, the table. By time Starlight was able to remove even an 1/8 of a line from the spell the crystals were full to capacity, cracking even, under the sheer bronth of it.
Eyebrows furrowed in annoyance and eyes filed with exhaustion, she released a sigh. Her patience finally pulled thin but she couldn't complain it was getting fixed after all.
Drained both magically and physically again for another night she gathered the, now impure Crystals, rolls of paper, and spellbooks and wobbled back to her room, dropping the bag onto the floor and snuggling deep into her comforters, covering herself again.

" till tomorrow."
