Burst's party after Battle City...
As the party winded down, Burst approached Principal Celestia. "Um...Principal Celestia?"
"Yes?"
"Where should we meet up at for...well....our date this Saturday?", Burst asked. Celestia smiled.
"Meet me at the duel park. I think that'd be the best way to start."
"S-sure!", Burst said with a smile.
"And Burst? Please. Call me Celestia.", Celestia said with a wink. Burst's heart nearly jumped out of his chest at hearing this! "See you Saturday." As Burst and Blue-Eyes headed home, thoughts of his coming date raced through his mind.
"Hope I don't mess this up."
"C'mon Burst!", Blue-Eyes said with a smile. "We've faced villains who've tried to takeover the world and beat them! I'm sure you can handle a date!"
"I hope so too. This is my first one. And its with a woman who's older than me and is incredibly beautiful. This might be tougher than any duel we've fought."

Burst stirred from his slumber, and let out a tired yawn. Then his eyes snapped open when he realized what day it was. Saturday. Today, he would have his first date. And to be honest, the thought both excited him and terrified him. He'd never been on a date before, let alone ask a girl out! And the first girl he'd ever asked out was older than him AND the principal of his school! 'What did I get myself into?! ', his mind screamed. 'Well....I guess we'll find out today. Here's hoping I don't make a total fool of myself or ruin the date. ' Burst got dressed, ate breakfast, and got ready for the day. "Okay. Checklist. Deck? Check. Duel disk? Check. Wallet? Check. Phone? Check." Burst took a deep breath. "Okay. We're starting out with a duel. That'll be fun. I like to duel. Wonder what type of deck Celestia's going to use? Well no point in stalling." Burst then looked over his outfit. It consisted of his usual blue jeans and black hi-top sneakers, but in place of the white jacket he wore with his Blue-Eyes White Dragon shirt, Burst was wearing a shirt modeled after the original Red Ranger shirt from Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers. "Okay. I'm good to go." Burst headed downstairs and prepared to leave when his mom stopped him for a picture. "Capturing the moment with a photo Mom?" Lumina nodded.
"Oh, you've grown up so much! My son on his first date!", Lumina said with a smile. Burst blushed as he left and walked to the duel park. When he arrived, he saw no sign of Celestia.
"Either I'm early, or she's late.", Burst said with a sigh as he sat down.
Meanwhile at Celestia and Luna's house...
"Today's the day. Isn't it Tia?", Luna asked. Celestia nodded.
"It is. Burst's probably incredibly nervous.", Celestia said as she headed out the door. "I hope this duel gets some of the stress off his back."
"Good luck sis.", Luna said with a smile. Celestia smiled.
"Thank you Luna." Celestia then made her way to the duel park and found Burst waiting for her. "Hope I didn't keep you waiting too long." Burst turned to face Celestia, and was speechless at the sight of her. Her outfit was a purple skirt with her usual golden shoes and her top was the usual white shirt with purple stripes. But what captivated Burst most was how the sun seemed to make her glow.
"Not at all...", Burst said. "You're....someone worth waiting for." Celestia smiled at hearing this.
"That's very sweet of you to say that." Celestia then activated her duel disk. "Are you ready?" Burst activated his own duel disk in kind.
"Ladies first."
Burst: 8000 Celestia: 8000
"How polite of you.", Celestia said with a smile. "I summon a monster in defense mode and end my turn with one card face-down."
"I draw!" Burst took a careful look at the cards in his hand. 'I hope she doesn't hate me if I win this duel.' "Hope you aren't expecting me to go easy on you."
"I'd be insulted if you did.", Celestia answered.
"Alright then! I'll reveal Blue-Eyes White Dragon from my hand to special summon Blue-Eyes Alternative White Dragon! Then I'll summon White Stone of Ancients! I'll tune Blue-Eyes Alternative with White Stone of Ancients! I synchro summon Azure-Eyes Silver Dragon in defense mode! Then I'll play Trade-In to discard Blue-Eyes from my hand and draw two new cards! Now I'll end my turn! Then White Stone's effect activates! I can special summon a 'Blue-Eyes' monster from my deck! I special summon Dragon Spirit of White from my deck since he counts as a 'Blue-Eyes' monster! Now that he's been summoned, I can banish a spell or trap card you control!" Celestia's Mirror Force card vanished in a flash of light! "That's all for me." 'I've never seen her duel. I wonder what kind of deck she uses?'
"I draw! I play Trade-In to discard a level eight monster from my hand! Then I play Return of the Dragon Lords to revive Divine Dragon Lord Felgrand from my graveyard! Now that he's been revived, his effect activates! I can target and banish one monster you control and Felgrand gains 100 attack points for each of its levels! I'll banish Azure-Eyes Silver Dragon!" As Felgrand fired a beam of light, a silver barrier blocked it!
"Sorry! But Azure-Eyes is protective of her family! Until the end of your turn, all dragons on my field can't be targeted or destroyed by card effects!"
"Impressive counter Burst. I end my turn."
"Since it's my standby phase, I can use Azure-Eyes's other effect! I can special summon a normal monster from my graveyard! Welcome back Blue-Eyes! Now I draw! I'll discard a card to activate The Melody of Awakening Dragon! I'll discard a card to add two dragons with 3000 or more attack and 2500 or less defense from my deck to my hand! Now I'll banish White Stone of Ancients from my graveyard! This lets me add a 'Blue-Eyes' monster from my graveyard to my hand! And there's only one in my graveyard at the moment! Then I'll reveal the Blue-Eyes White Dragon I added to special summon Blue-Eyes Alternative again! Then I'll use Alternative's effect! Destroy Divine Dragon Lord Felgrand!" Alternative summoned a bolt of lightning that struck Felgrand, but he was still standing!
"I banish Return of the Dragon Lords to protect Felgrand from your effect!", Celestia said with a smile.
"Good move. But it's not over yet! I tribute Dragon Spirit of White to bring out another Blue-Eyes White Dragon from my hand!" A column of light engulfed Dragon Spirit of White, and another Blue-Eyes stood in his place! "I'll use one of my Blue-Eyes to destroy Felgrand and the other to attack you directly!" Celestia braced herself as Felgrand was destroyed and another blast of white lightning hit her life points directly! "Then I'll set two cards and end my turn." 'Huh. And I haven't even needed to whip-out Blue-Eyes' upgraded forms yet!'
Burst: 8000 Celestia: 4800
"No wonder you won Duelist Kingdom and Battle City.", Celestia said with a smile. "Now it's my turn! I draw!" Celestia took a careful look at her cards. "This should do nicely. I play the ritual spell Hymn of Light! I tribute two monsters from my hand to ritual summon Saffira, Queen of Dragons!" A beautiful dragon with light blue scales descended wearing bits of gold armor and platinum blond hair. Blue-Eyes' jaw dropped. "Now I'll attack your Blue-Eyes White Dragon! And I'll discard Honest so Saffira gains his attack points!" Saffira fired a blast of light from her hand that knocked Blue-Eyes to the ground!
"..Call me...", Blue-Eyes groaned as he was sent to the graveyard! Saffira giggled.
"Maybe after this duel.", she replied.
"I'll set two card and end my turn. Looks like our monsters are hitting it off.", Celestia said with a smile.
Burst: 5500 Celestia: 4800
"They must be if Blue-Eyes wanted her number. Speaking of him, I'll use Silver's effect to revive Blue-Eyes!", Burst said with a smile as he drew his next card. "You got in a pretty good hit. I activate Curse of Anubis! This switches all effect monsters on the field into defense mode and makes their defense zero until the end of this turn! Also, their battle position can't be changed! Then I'll use Alternative's effect!"
"I don't think so! I banish Hymn of Light from my graveyard to protect Saffira from your effect!" A barrier of light blocked Alternative's lightning!
"In that case, I'll attack with my other Blue-Eyes!"
"I activate my trap! Mirror Force! Since you attacked, I can destroy all attack mode monsters you control!"
"I don't think so! I activate my other trap! Champion's Vigilance! When you would summon a monster, or activate a spell or trap, I can negate the summon or activation and destroy that card!" Celestia's Mirror Force shattered, and Saffira was wiped out in a single attack! "Now I'll attack you directly with my other Blue-Eyes! White Lightning!" Celestia braced herself as the attack hit her full force. "I end my turn."
Burst: 5500 Celestia: 1800
Celestia giggled. "It's been a while since someone gave me a good duel." Celestia drew her next card. "I'll set a card and end my turn."
"I draw! I'll attack you with Blue-Eyes!"
"I activate my trap! Magic Cylinder!" Blue-Eyes's attack was sent through one cylinder and sent flying at his life points through the other! Burst winced as his attack hit him!
"I end my turn. I REALLY should have seen that coming." 'She's pretty good. I like a girl who can give me a good duel.'
Burst: 2500 Celestia: 1800
"My move." Celestia drew her next card. "I set a card and end my turn."
"I'm not risking that again!" Burst drew his next card! "I'll discard a card to activate Twin Twisters! This lets me destroy up to two spell or trap cards on the field! And I only see one on the field! I'll get rid off your face-down!" A twister blew away Celestia's face-down card! "Let's rock the dragon Blue-Eyes! Let's show off our new attack!" Blue-Eyes nodded and leaped into the air! Soon, he gathered energy and wrapped himself in it! "Burst Impact!" Blue-Eyes dived into the last of Celestia's life points! Wiping them out instantly! "I gotta say. This is a pretty good start.", Burst said with a smile as he walked over to Celestia.
"I'm having a good time to.", Celestia said with a smile.
"So where to next? I hear you've got a major sweet tooth. How about Sugar Cube corner?"
"Sounds lovely."
"I'll take care of our ride." Burst summoned Blue-Eyes. "Ever fly by dragon?"
"Luna's SO going to want to hear about this." Burst helped Celestia onto Blue-Eyes and soon followed suit.
"And away we go!", Blue-Eyes said with a grin as he took off!

Burst and Celestia soon arrived at Sugar Cube Corner on Blue-Eyes. Burst helped Celestia off and Blue-Eyes followed them inside. "Hey Pinkie!" Pinkie rushed up to Burst.
"Hi Burst! I got a table set just for you and your date!", Pinkie chirped.
"That's....wow! Thanks!" Burst and Celestia walked over to the table Pinkie had set aside for them. Burst pulled out Celestia's chair for her.
"You're quite the charmer Burst.", Celestia said with a smile.
"So what'll you be having?", Pinkie asked.
"I think you'd better take the lady's order first.", Burst said with a smile.
"Chocolate cake please.", Celestia answered.
"I'll take a soda.", Burst said.
"Nice choices! I'll have them out shortly!" Pinkie rushed into the kitchen and started making the couples' order.
"You've become quite the young man Burst. I bet your parents would be pretty proud of you.", Celestia said with a smile. Burst's smile faded.
"You mean parent."
"Oh. I'm so sorry. Are your parents...?"
"They're not divorced.", Burst answered. He then sighed. "There was no big fight, they weren't at each others' throats. Things just...didn't work out. And when I was just a couple years old...my dad left."
"Do you want to....talk about it?", Celestia asked with a concerned look on her face. Burst sighed.
"I was about three or four when it all happened. I remember we were a pretty happy family. And I was pretty close to my mom. My dad and I were also pretty tight. I remembered when he first showed me Star Wars . He milked the 'I am your father.' line as much as he could whenever we had a lightsaber duel." Burst had a fond smile as he remembered those days. "But then...one day I saw my dad packing up his suitcase. He told me things and mom weren't working out. I was pretty sad when he left. But somehow...it didn't feel like a huge part of my life was missing. I grew up pretty happy, and was pretty much raised by just my mom. But that didn't mean I missed him any less. That, and I remembered my dad's words before he left. He told me to not be sad that he's gone. Just to be happy that we had good times together. And he also gave me this." Burst pulled out his Blue-Eyes necklace. "He said as long as I had this, he'd always be by with me in spirit. This and my memories are all I have of him." Burst looked at Celestia. "And by heeding his words, I've had a pretty good life so far. I made plenty of good friends, and I've become a pretty good duelist. And now, I have you." Celestia was almost tearing up at Burst's words, and hugged him tightly. "Celestia? Are you okay?"
"I'm fine Burst. It's just...I never knew you went through something like that while you were so young."
"Well, I'm okay." Burst wrapped his arms around Celestia. "In fact, I think I'm better with you around. Like I could tell this to you." Celestia smiled.
"Thank you Burst." Pinkie then showed up with their orders. "You know? Luna keeps worrying I'll gain weight with all the cake I enjoy." Burst took a moment to admire Celestia's figure.
"Maybe it goes to all the right places. One could say you've got the figure of a goddess. Especially when the sun shines on you." Celestia blushed at hearing this!
"Charm like that could make a girl melt. Not to mention that smile and your eyes." Burst blushed in response.
"...Well played.", Burst said with a smile. "By the way? You've got a bit of cake frosting on your face."
"Really where?" Burst then got closer to Celestia.
"Riiight about here." Burst then kissed Celestia on the lips. Celestia smiled warmly after they broke the kiss.
"I think you got it."
"I don't know about you, but I've still got an appetite."
"I know a good place to eat. Best slices in Canterlot. That is, if Blue-Eyes is done flirting with Saffira." Burst and Celestia looked to Saffira and Blue-Eyes sharing a milkshake.
"I'd say they'll be done soon. But that just means we've got a bit more time together."

Burst woke up with a smile. It was a beautiful day, and his friends were waiting for him at school. Burst got ready, and soon met his friends at school. "Hey guys! What's up?" Ace and Ice pulled out their own harmony cards and upgraded monsters.
"We got our own harmony cards!", Ace cheered. "Plus, check this out!" Ace and Ice then summoned their dragon wings!
"Pretty cool, huh?", Ice asked.
"Welcome to the club you two.", Burst said with a smile. He then looked at the portal that was housed in the Wondercolt Statue. "Funny. We're all back where it all began."
"Yeah. I remember when I met you in the hallway.", Inferno said with a nod. "Never expected to find a best friend that day."
"And I didn't expect to find a future boyfriend.", Rarity said with a loving smile.
"I never expected to find another being from Equestria.", Sunset said as Gold pulled her close.
"Don't forget us getting super cool magic!", Rainbow boasted.
"And the parties!", Pinkie chirped.
"Savin' the world from crazy magic threats.", Applejack noted.
"Not to mention beating bad-guys and Duelist Kingdom and Battle City.", Steel noted. Burst cracked a smile and then looked to two new members in their group.
"Looks like we've got newcomers to our circle. Nice to meet you two. Name's Burst Stream."
"I'm Veenus Bloomer.", Veenus greeted.
"Name's Night Fang! Call me Fang for short.", Night beamed.
"They're dating Sonata's sisters.", Ace added. "Speaking of which, Sonata and her family should be arriving soon."
"ACE!"
"And there they are.", Ace said with a smile. Each of the Dazzlings went to their respective boyfriends.
"Hey? How about we take a picture?", Burst suggested. "We've come a long way. Might as well have something to remember it!" The group got into position as they also summoned their monster partners.
"Mind if we help with this?" The group then turned to Celestia and Luna.
"No problem.", Burst said with a smile. Luna readied the timer as she and Celestia found their place in the group. Celestia then wrapped her arms around Burst as the camera was about to go off. "On three! 1....2.....3!"
"ROCK THE DRAGON!" The camera snapped the picture, and the group smiled as they looked at it.
"All I know now is that I can't wait for what comes next.", Burst said as he left. However as the group went their separate ways, something odd happened with the portal. It began to warp and distort before returning to normal.

"You weren't kidding when you said this place had the best slices in Canterlot.", Burst said with a satisfied smile as he, Celestia, Blue-Eyes, and Saffira walked out of the restaurant.
"Best. Pizza. EVER.", Blue-Eyes said in a blissful tone. "Burst. You HAVE to get their delivery number."
"Already did bro." Burst then turned to Celestia. "I'll admit I was worried I'd screw up this date. But, I had a good time. What about you?"
"I had a wonderful time.", Celestia answered with a smile. "I'm glad we did this. And, I'm happy that I make you feel better."
"And I'm glad that I can make you happy. Hey..look!" The sun was beginning to set. "That's probably the most romantic way to end this date."
"I can think of one other way.", Celestia said with a smile. Burst turned to her, and wrapped his arms around her.
"Is this what you had in mind?" Celestia leaned in and the two shared a kiss to end their date.
"Today was perfect.", Celestia said with a blissful smile.
"I'll take you home. Ready for take-off Blue-Eyes?" Blue-Eyes nodded as he handed Saffira his number.
"All set!" Burst helped Celestia onto Blue-Eyes and they flew towards her home. "Celestia? Before you go..." Burst reached into his pocket and handed Celestia a piece of paper. "If you ever wanna talk."
"Have good evening Burst.", Celestia said with a smile. She then pulled out her own piece of paper and a pen and wrote on it. "For when you want to hear my voice again." Burst smiled as she handed him the paper. "Or for when you want to serenade me."
"You too Celestia." Burst got back onto Blue-Eyes and flew home. "I know what dreaming about tonight." That night, Burst and Celestia dreamed of each other. Both of them fondly continuing their date. Waiting to find each other in the real world once they woke up.
