"Spectrum. Sweetie. There is somepony at the door waiting for you. They would like to hang out with you and Noone today" Twilight nudged her daughter softly, waking her from her light slumber.
"Whaa~ Tell them I'll be there in *yawn* a few minutes" The violet alicorn rolled off her bed and rubbed the sleep out of her eyes. She walked to her bathroom and splashed some water on her face before brushing her mane.
After getting slightly more presentable. Spectrum walked out of her room to the main entrance where she saw Noone conversing with a purple unicorn.
"Hey 'Clipse! This is Fear, she's a few month younger than you. She's Fluttershy's daughter" Noone grinned.
"Hello, Fear. We didn't get to talk much last night. It's good to meet you"
"You to Princess" Fear bowed her head and looked away a bit.
"Now now, no need for any formality. We can talk as friends, no need for fancy titles. And besides, I'm technically not even a princess yet. Still another few years"
Fear smiled, showing a pair of fangs.
"Hey, uh Fear? Mind if I ask about your heritage and why you have fangs?" Spectrum asked, trying to be polite. Not wanting her to get angry or upset.
"Oh. Well with my mothers 'incident' being Flutterbat. And also my.....dad...."
"Oh, I'm sorry, I shouldn't have brought it up" Spectrum's ears folded back in shame.
"No, it's just that. I never got to meet him. All I know is that he's a draconequus and his name is Discord"
"Woah, hold up. Discord? As in DISCORD DISCORD???" Noone jumped forward in shock, right into Fear's face
"Well, yeah. I only know of one Discord"
Spectrum rubbed her temples.
"So you are telling us that your father is the one and only Discord, the reformed Draconequus?"
"Yes. I guess so"
"Princess Celestia's children, Paradox and Penrose's father is Discord! You are blood-related to ROYALTY!"
"Wait, what?!" Fear's face flushed red.
"I-I-I, What?!"
"You are so cool. I would like to find out more about your magic later. So what do you like to do?" Spectrum asked. Fear's magic was unique. Unlike pony or draconequus, but a mix of both.
"Well, I like to play jokes on people with Pinkie Pie and I also help Pinkie at Sugarcube Corner. I'm hoping to get a job there when I'm older"
"Noone! Spectrum! Could you come here for a minute!" Rarity's voice called out
"Sorry Fear we have to go"
"That's fine. I was about to start heading home myself. I'll see you around" Fear waved bye as the two walked out of the room.
"Hehehe" Fear chuckled as her horn glowed Red and Black.
She conjured two crystals in the shape of bats and placed them down on Noone and Spectrum's beds. After one final spell, she made herself invisible, hiding from view. Now the only thing left to do is wait.
"Wow, it's so cool"
"Yeah, it's a lovely gem. Cobaltocalcite. Beautiful colour"
Noone and Spectrum picked up the large gems, but the second their hooves touched the crystal, the 'bat' became alive and started flying around the room
"EEEEEE!" Noone screeched as the bats flew over her head.
Spectrum chuckled and cast a freezing spell on the bats.
"Nice one Fear. You have to teach me that one" Spectrum smiled as the Purple unicorn appeared, mouth agape in a cavern of confusion.
"You leave a unique magic aura in the air. A perk of being partially blind"
Fear's mouth shut and turned into a smile.
"Thanks. I'm glad you appreciate my efforts"
Fear's plain flank glowed softly before intensifying. Both Noone and Spectrum gasped as a dark pink crystallised bat appeared on Fear's flank.
"You got your cutie mark! Wow!" Spectrum beamed as her new unicorn friend stood there speechless.
"Well, done girls" Twilight walked into the room.
"You two are going to do well here. Now, Fear. You might want to head on home. I'm sure your mother will want to hear about this as soon as possible" Fear nodded and ran out of the room, a massive grin on her face.
"Now you two. We have things to do. Let's get going"
"Spectrum, stop being a party pooper. This is your BIRTHDAY! Be happy for crying out loud" Noone was yelling at Spectrum, not angry but slightly pissed off but not in a bad mood. She still wore a smile on her face.
"It's just that. I don't know. I just don't feel in a good mood right now, I'm a bit distracted...." Spectrum trailed off, not intending on finishing her sentence.
"Whatever. We are going to be living here for a few years so make yourself happy. Before you know it, you'll be ruling Equestria with Flurry Heart" Noone playfully jabbed Spectrum.
"That's just why I'm distracted. You aren't going to live forever. I am" Spectrum hung her head and walked out of the room.
"Oh, hey there Spec. How are you?" Pix greeted Spectrum with a cheerful smile. But once he saw Spectrum, all happiness was wiped clean.
"Woah, what's wrong? You look exhausted!" Pix rushed forward and supported Spectrum on his shoulder which was quite difficult due to her alicorn heritage size.
"You'd better come inside"
Pix helped Spectrum inside and sat her at the table. He trotted into the kitchen and came out a few minutes later with a cup of tea.
"What happened to you? You look like you just took the Ponyville express straight to the face"
"It's nothing. I'm just stressed. Moving here was a really big change"
Spectrum sipped on the tea and looked at Pix.
"Is there anything I could do to help?" Pix asked. A hint of hope in his voice.
"No, it's fine. But I know something that would make me feel better"
"What?"
"That game you promised"
"Oh, you're on!"
The two galloped up to Pix's room and dove to each grab a controller.
"Well, colour me impressed. You won. Good game" Pix smiled.
"Nice, well I'd better get going, Noone is probably wondering here I am, I kinda flipped out in front of her. Well, bye. I'll see you soon"

With Great Power, Comes Great Responsibility
"Oh, come on Spectrum! It's been the same every single year since we moved here! You are never happy for your birthday!" Noone complained to the violet unicorn.
"Noone, you know why I'm not happy, I've told you every other year. I am going to out-live you, it's inevitable. It's going to happen, so for me to celebrate getting older? That's just stupid"
"Look at me. Look directly into my eyes. I don't care if you out-live me. You know why?" Noone held Spectrum's face in her hooves.
"Cause I'll always be right here" Noone placed her hoof on Spectrum's chest.
"In your heart, I will live on" Noone looked directly into Spectrum's green eyes, she saw no emotion, but she felt it for her.
Spectrum looked down at Noone, after multiple years of treatment, she could finally see clearly but the pupils of her eyes were still light green instead of the normal black.
Noone wasn't the brightest pony, but she sure had a way with words, she could cheer anyone up even when they were in the deepest darkest corners of depression by just talking to them.
"Thanks, Noone. You are the best mare I could ever wish for as a friend, or even more so, a family member" Spectrum smiled and nuzzled Noone.
"Good. Now let's get to getting ready for your party!" Noone jumped into the air, her wings flapping excitedly.
Spectrum and Noone took to flight and headed back to the castle to prepare for the day to come.
"So, It's Valentine's Day tomorrow and then your birthday!" Noone was jumping around, giddy with excitement.
Twilight entered the room on light hooves, barely making a sound.
"Spectrum. I would like to talk to you. And it might take a while"
"Oh, Ok. I'll see you later then Noone" Spectrum nuzzled her neck across Noone's head to annoy her before exiting the room behind her mother.
"I've decided that you are ready. You are almost sixteen. You will be crowned a princess. Cadence has been telling me a lot about your progress in not only your magic but your relationships. Your coronation will be held in the crystal empire in a year. Leaving you enough time to go through some help and your final tests from Cadence. And don't worry, you don't need to move to the Crystal Empire just yet. For now, you can reside here unless you want to move"
Twilight spilt out all the information as if she were reading a book, leaving Spectrum little time to take it all in. This was a lot of pressure on her back. She hadn't even got here cutie mark yet. And that was strange enough, almost a fully grown mare.
Geez, even Pix had his already. And he's younger than her! But there was no surprise there. Three bullets? Of course, it would be something to do with gaming.
Spectrum thought back to the tournament. Pix was sitting there next to one of the best players in Canterlot. The scores were tied and it didn't look like anything would change, but one fluke shot won it all for Pix. The blow was fatal and the other player lost. Three silver bullets glowed and painlessly burned onto Pix's flank.
Noone also had her cutie mark. She was sitting in the library reading about stunts and how to re-create them when she smelled smoke. A fire had started in one of the archives.
Being a pegasus really helps in that kind of situation. She harnessed some rain clouds using one of the tricks she read about and using her sleek agility she put the fire out before any more could be damaged.
Noone's cutie mark was intricate and simple. A green book with and orange flame. The book represents her ability to read about a stunt and the re-create with ease, and the flame symbolises her agility.
Spectrum looked down to her own flank. Bare, the same colour as the rest of her coat. She sighed and looked at her mother
"Thanks. I will do my best"
"Very good, now I have to go and meet with Flurry, I have some things to discuss with her and Cadance"
"Wake up wake up wake up!" Noone jumped on Spectrum's bed waking her.
"It's your birthday! You are officially sixteen today! Now let's go and have some fun!" Noone dragged the still sleepy alicorn out of bed and to the dining room of the castle.
The table had been laid out with pancakes, eggs, hashbrowns and bacon (They are going to eat meat, don't judge)
"Happy birthday 'Clipse!" Flurry dived down from above Spectrum, her aqua eyes staring directly into Spectrum's pure green ones.
Flurry landed next to Twilight and Cadence who had come into the room extremely stealthily.
"We all grouped together and decided to get you an amazing gift. Paradox and Penrose couldn't make it today. And neither could Artis, Luna or Christane, but Lunar Canine came, she's right, here?"
Flurry looked back but saw no pony.
"She was here a second ago"
"I'm here"
A voice came from above them. They looked up to see a pair of golden eyes looking and them.
"Cay, come down! We can't even see you!"
"Okie Dokey! Come on Fear"
The navy blue bat pony dropped down from the roof, her messy black mane falling across her face. And not even a second later, the well-known purple unicorn appeared next to her, a cheeky smile gracing her smooth features.
"Well, now that we are all here, I think it's time to give you your gift. Twilight?"
Cadence looked at her sister-in-law and nodded.
Twilight's horn lit up and she lifted something from her back. A small blue and green egg. Spectrum took the egg in her own tri-colour magic.
"Philomena left her especially for you"
The egg started to crack, and a small blue feathered ball squirmed out. An explosion of blue light flash through the room and one the ground before Spectrum stood a blue Phoenix.
Spectrum gasped as flames flickered around the firebird.
"Are you gonna name her?" Cadence asked, smirking.
"Inferno. A blue flame"
"That's a perfect name. Now, a phoenix is very particular and hard to look after. But you will get used to what she likes after a short while"
"She will live alongside you for the rest of eternity. So your bond will be unbreakable"
"Thank you so much everypony. Now how about we have some breakfast. I'm starving!"
"You know, I've been thinking. I would like to join the Wonderbolts. I've been doing heaps of flying and I think that I would like to do something like that"
Spectrum lay on her back, facing the sky, Noone lying next to her.
"Yeah! That would be awesome! I heard from Rainbow Dash that they are opening tryout's tomorrow actually. SO how about we go, tryout's go for four days"
"Call it done. Wonderbolts, here we come!"

"Noone! Get your lazy feathered arse out of bed and get ready!"
Spectrum used her well toned back legs to buck the side of Noone's bed, waking her.
"Shit!"
Noone jumped into the air and flew to her ensuite
"We have to be there in less than an hour! It's gonna be top speed flying cause it takes 45 minutes to get there!"
"Haaaaah!"
Noone and Spectrum landed on the cloud platform of Wonderbolt HQ.
"Alright! Listen here!" The well known raspy voice of Spitfire was heard across the entire base.
"Today we will be accepting the top ten flyers. The five of whom are the best with be forming the new Alpha Squad! And new generation, so be at the top of your game!"
"There are forms that you will be required to sign before we move to anything practical! So get to it!"
Everypony scattered to collect the forms
"Inspections of health! Get in line!
The pegasi all lined up and stood at attention.
"On request, you will open your wings so I can inspect your feather quality!"
Spitfire moved down the line, taking names and writing notes. A few ponies were sent away, their wings to scrappy or in poor health.
Spitfire reached Noone. After a quick inspection of her smooth, conditioned wings, she wrote down some notes and moved to Spectrum.
"Wings"
Spectrum unfolded her large alicorn wings, stunning Spitfire. Darker feathers adorning the larger end feathers.
Spitfire looked at Spectrum's forehead and snorted.
"Pfft, no wonder. What are you doing here? Aren't you supposed to be filing taxes in your castle Princess?"
"Excuse me?"
"You're an Alicorn Princess. You aren't supposed to be out here in the field"
"Oh what, automatically since I'm an alicorn I'm not good enough? I'm not even a princess yet, and even if I was, that wouldn't stop me from being out here"
"Look-"
"Spectrum"
"Spectrum, I'm gonna be blunt. Alicorn's aren't known for their flight. And they aren't well physically trained"
"I don't care what other alicorns have been like, I'm different. I was born blind and overcame it. I'll prove myself to you. And I guarantee you that you will find a use for my magic in shows somewhere along the way. And I can assure you that I can wait, I do have forever after all"
"Fine, if you can prove to me that I should let you in, then all go for you. But I'm a tough shell to crack so good luck, you'll need it"
"If you have a signature move, best to use it now! One by one, show me what you got! When I call your name, get into the air!"
"Brisa Euros!"
A pale blue mare flew into the sky her orange and yellow mane flowing in the wind. Her wings were slightly out of proportion of her body, but she used that to her advantage. She started low in the sky and started to spiral upwards, faster and faster. Her wing wrapped around her small body. Small streams of clouds were forming in the spiral, the wind from her wings speeding up. After reaching a point in the sky she spread her wings out, dispersing the clouds into the formation of the Wonderbolt symbol.
"Very good! Blue Moon!"
Another blue mare flew up, her mane light grey and blue. A strong essence of pride glowed from her core as she flew into the sky. She flew up in a flash, speed was her talent. Or was it? As she flew higher up the sky began to darken and she spread her wings. Spots of light glimmered across the HQ. 'Blue Moon' travelled through the dark sky and as light reflected from her fur, it looked as if she was glowing.
"Blue Moon!" One of the pegasi called from the line
The blue pegasus flew up and beckoned away the dark before speeding down to the ground.
The hours passed as each pony was called up, eventually, the list reached Noone. And after her show of trick flips and showing off her agility, it was Spectrum's turn.
"Spectrum Eclipse!"
The purple alicorn stood at the edge of the HQ, balancing on the edge. She slowly tipped over and dropped, seconds passed. She kept falling, the pegasi rushed to the side just as she flew past. A streak of blue and green trailing after her. An explosion of her magic exploded in the sky. Her large wings were folded around her, a dim light emitting from behind them. Splaying her wings, fireworks dispersed from her wings and a full-blown light show of the first Wonderbolts was glowing behind her. Their first flight performance shining behind her. Flashes of the show started to fade away as a huge Wonderbolt symbol grew in front of the lights. Finishing her little performance, all the light exploded into fireworks.

"Wow"
Spectrum landed back on the platform, not a single bead of sweat visible on her face.
"Results will be sent to the ten ponies who have been accepted. The five that will form our Alpha squad will be required to return here to begin immediate training. Letters will be sent out by tomorrow so will be received within five days from now. Dismissed"
"Oooh, I know we get the fastest mail system due to your mother, but I still can't stand still. I want to know the results!"
"Hey, you two! How about we go out for a fly" Flurry walked into the room. Her hair still styled and adorned will her headdress from the royal guard meeting.
"When I'm a princess, do I have to look like that?" Spectrum chuckled seeing her hair styled and tied back.
"No exactly, but It still has to be neat at least until you earn your flowing mane. You'll get used to it"
Flurry removed the headdress and earrings, laying them on the table.
"The worst part isn't even having your hair styled, but it's sitting in one place for two hours doing nothing. And you have to be there every single time"
Flurry combed her her, restoring it to its natural look, long and curly.
"Come on. Let's go!"
The three mares flew out the window and into the cool afternoon sky.
"So, how was your try-outs? Who do you think was the best act?"
Noone did a few spins and flips and flew up.
"Well, there was this really pretty mare called Stormy Moon. She looked a bit like Luna but she was really good at manipulating storm clouds and not getting zapped. And then there were two mares who looked like they could be sisters, Brisa Euros and Blue Moon. Blue did this really cool thing where she made the sky dark with clouds and then flew through them, and he had the light levels just perfect so it looked like her fur was glowing like a moon. And Brisa was controlling the wind and created this really cool spiral that turned into the Wonderbolt symbol!"
"That sounds amazing. But I doubt that they were better than you two"
"Spitfire was actually a bit snotty with 'Clipse. She saw that she was an alicorn and laughed. But after Spectrum's amazing light show, she was in awe. And Spitfire never show any emotion!"
"Really? Well from the sound of that, you two have got a very high chance of getting in"
"Spitfire is sending out the letters tomorrow so we will get them barely a few hours after she sends them"
"Well, it sounds like you two should get home and get some rest and get packing. Besides, dinner will be ready soon so we should head back"
"Yeah, come on. How about we have a race back. The last one has to be dressed up for a fancy dress party!"

A Tale Of A New Beginning
Silence surrounded the whole room. The only sounds that could be heard were the faint beep of a heart monitor and the heavy breathing of Twilight Sparkle.
"She's beautiful, Twilight" Cadence held the small filly in her arms, cradling her. Cadence gently passed the foal to her mother. Tear blurred eyes looked upon the small purple alicorn. The tips of her wing were slightly darker than the rest of her coat. Her mane was short but dead straight and consisted of three colours; Pale blue with a strand of darker blue and another of green. A strand of spectra seeped in through the window. Making its way across the room, it's light sparkled off all of the shiny surfaces. The light reached the small filly but as soon as the light appeared on the filly's coat, it disappeared.
"Spectrum Eclipse" Twilight muttered.
The land had been shrouded into despair and sadness after Princess Celestia's. Luna made sure to look as if it wasn't hurting her, but it was. On the inside, it was killing her. Celestia's two children, 4-year-old Paradox, and 3-year-old Penrose. Luna already had two children; Artis who was 2, nearly three and Lunar Canine who was barely 1. Sombra, Artis's father had disappeared not long after Celestia's death and Lunar's father remained unknown. For many years, Celestia had been fighting for her life from an evil darkness after reforming Sombra, Luna's now husband. But her struggles were fruitless as after exactly 3 and a half years, the darkness took over her, leaving her bed-bound and merely two days later, she had passed away.
Discord had moped around the castle for a few day before staying with Fluttershy, who was now pregnant with his foal. But not very long after finding out she was pregnant with the draconequus' foal, she left him and was now married to Big Macintosh.
The large crowds of Canterlot gathered in the courtyard after hearing the news of a new royal filly. They waited for the once in a lifetime sight. Princess Cadence and Prince Shining Armor walked to the edge of the balcony. And after checking the crowd once over they looked back at Twilight and nodded. Twilight walked slowly with Flash supporting her since she was still weak. Cadence's magic surrounded the small foal and lifted her to show eveypony. The crowd erupted into cheers as their eyes fell upon their newest princess.
I the middle of the crowd was Rarity with her one-year-old filly, Noone. A small shy blue pegasus with a magenta mane and blue eyes.
Noone was the daughter of Thunderlane. Rarity's love for Thunderlane didn't last long. Very soon after they got together, they started fighting. And when Rarity found out she was carrying his foal it set off the biggest argument ending with Rarity kicking Thunderlane out of her boutique and moving to Canterlot to manage her boutique there. But by that stage, the stress was too much for her so she moved into Caterlot castle with Twilight. She then met back up with Fancy Pants and soon after got married.
The next few years when by quite fast. Fear was born and was a healthy unicorn foal. Her dark coat fitted perfectly with her black mane and her blood red eyes. Sweetie Belle and Button Mash had a colt that they name Pixeled Bullet. Sombra had returned and Luna gave birth to another foal a year later, Christane, a filly. In Cloudsdale, Soarin and Rainbow had two foals, Stream Strike and Australis flame, a year apart. Big Mac and Fluttershy had their foal Melody Star. Fancy and Rarity had a filly, Sapphire Stone. Applejack and Caramel now had a small colt to look after, Toffee Golden. Twilight and Flash had a pegasus colt which they named Nebula Streak. Sunset had returned along with the dazzlings. Sunset and Adagio had a filly called Dawn. Sonata and Aria also had their foal who they named Nerida Occyan. Scootaloo and Rumble had the Twins, Speed Strike, and Jasper. Applebloom and Tender Taps had a filly named Honey Crisp. Even Spike! He moved to the dragon kingdom where he and Ember had two little babies, Emerald and Lapis. So all in all, everypony was living their lives happily.
Chapter 1
"Flurry!" Spectrum called out. Spectrum Eclipse was now 9 (So Flurry is 14), but what was surprising is that she acted as if she was in her teens.
Along with learning that she was blind, Twilight found it quite fascinating that her daughter seemed, well, normal. Though she hates being in large rooms, outside or in any type of crowds -for the only way she can tell where she is going is echolocation- she was a lovely filly, loved by all.
Flurry and 'Clipse are extremely close, growing up pretty much side by side due to the regularity of Cadence's visits from the Crystal Empire.
Another great friend of Spectrum was Noone, Rarity's daughter. Rarity was almost always busy in Canterlot Boutique, so Twilight volunteered to look after her.
"Hey Spec, what's up?" Flurry wing bumped her cousin.
"I just wanted to know if you wanted to go for a fly with me? And you know, talk?"
"Sure, why not. I've got nothing better to do" They spread their wings and flew out one of the windows.
The two flew in silence for a while, the only sound being their gentle wing beats.
"Flurry? How did you get your cutie mark?" Spectrum asked, looking at the red heart with two overcrossing unicorn horns on the pale pink alicorns flank.
"Oh, It's not much of story really."
"Please?"
"Ok, fine"
"What happened was somepony had knocked the crystal heart slightly so the love was out of balance. There were couples making out on the street and others bickering and fighting. Mum and Dad managed to put the heart back in place and the love re-balanced. Well, mostly. The school ponies weren't back to normal since they weren't 'in love' as such. They are mostly only friends. My magic isn't that of love like my mum's"
Flurry looked away, frowning. She felt that she had let her mother down since she could not be her successor. After a few seconds, Flurry continued;
"So, I used my magic to restore their friendships" Flurry smiled. "That was only four years ago"
Spectrum was happy for her cousin, but also sad. She had always been out and about to try to see what she was good at, but every time she came back bare flanked, pun intended.
The two flew back to the castle and landed in the gardens.
"Where were you?" Noone stomped her hoof, an angry look adorning her face.
"Uh, flying, talking"
Noone's glare didn't falter as she fluttered her wings. "You know I can fly too?! You could have at least invited me"
Spectrum's face dead-panned. She would always forget that Noone was a pegasus.
The three stood and chatted for a while after Noone cooled down before, Flurry had to go. After Flurry left, Noone and 'Clipse stood in silence. The setting sun and lower light level allowed Spectrum see, the darkness was her strength as she could she in the opposite light levels than other ponies do. So whenever her and Noone's eyes met they would both end up looking way, a pink blush tinging their cheeks.
"C'mon. It's getting late, let's go inside"
The two flew to Spectrum's room. Rarity hadn't returned from the boutique yet so that signified Noone would be staying the night. Again. But since there were only a selected amount of rooms, Flurry and Cadence taking up the room Noone would have slept in, Noone would be staying with Spectrum, in her room.

"Noone! Let me go!"
Spectrum groaned as her pegasus friend hugged her in her sleep. Noone hummed softly in her sleep as a fiery blush crossed 'Clipse's face.
Spectrum's horn glowed blue as she carefully teleported herself and swapped with a massive bear plushie.

"Noone! Wake up!"
Spectrum shook the blue pegasus but no response. She stepped back to look at her.
Noone stirred a little and hugged the bear tighter. Spectrum sighed and brought her hoof to her face. 'Why'
Once again, Spectrum's horn glowed blue as she levitated a glass of water above Noone's face.
The water hit Noone's face and woke her with a jolt.
"Gaah! Cold" Noone's already open wings fluffed up as the feathers splayed out even more. Noone looked directly at Spectrum before folding down all her wing feathers apart from the middle one, knowing full well that Spectrum wouldn't be able to see it clearly.
"Noone, I can see what you are doing. Not as you would see me doing it, but clear enough that I know you aren't happy"
"So girls I was thinking. I would like to see Applejack and Pinkie again, would you two like to come to Ponyville, my old home?" Noone, Spectrum and Twilight were sitting in the dining hall eating breakfast. "It would be wonderful if you could come with me and Rarity. You might even be able to meet the rest of the mane six and their children, they are a few years younger than you two but I think that Fluttershy's first daughter, Fear is around your age"
Spectrum looked at Noone as the nodded.
"I think that we would both enjoy that. Yes we will come"
"Very well, we will leave later this afternoon. I just need to send some letters to the others so we can all get together"
Twilight stood up and trotted out of the hall, a smile crossing her elegant face
"Come on Spectrum, let's go get ready then we can go for a fly" Noone jumped up from her seat.
"Well, actually. I have to go see Aunty Cadence and Luna about my magic and sight. I'm sorry, it's going to take a while" Spectrum stood up, almost tripping and looked at Noone. The blue pegasus frowned and her ears drooped.
"OK, I'll see you later then" Noone stood up and walked away from the table.
"Rarity and I will be at Sweet Apple Acres if you need us. You two can just hang around Ponyvillie for the time being" Twilight smiled at the two young fillies.
"I trust that you two won't get into any trouble?" Rarity looked at the two. "I just hope I don't have to see Thunderlane..."
An idea popped into Spectrum's head as the words came out of Rarity's mouth. Neither her mother or Rarity would approve of it, but she didn't care.
"We'll see you later then. Bye, mum" And with that Spectrum and Noone took to the sky.
"Soooo, I was just thinking. Would you like to meet your real dad?" Spectrum brushed the idea past.
"As long as mum doesn't find out"
"Very well then"
Three clear knocks sounded on the door of the cloud home just to the east of Ponyville. Spectrum had some help from a few of the town ponies to find where Thunderlane lived, but with the friendliness of the small town, it was no problem.
"Who is it?" A male voice came from inside.
"Spectrum Eclipse, daughter of Princess Twilight Sparkle. I am here to speak with Thunderlane" Spectrum's voice sounded out clear and proud. She did not yet have the title of Princess, she was not of age yet.
"I-I uh, yes. Your majesty" Thunderlane bowed his head and looked up.
"At ease, Thunderlane. I am here for one reason and one reason alone. I believe that you have the right to meet your daughter"
"M-my daughter?" Thunderlane's voice was shaky and broke multiple times.
"When you left Rarity, she was carrying your foal. I am here today to let you meet her" Spectrum stepped aside to reveal the shaking blue pegasus, tears were flowing down her delicate face.
"D-dad?"
"Thunderlane, this is Noone, your daughter. And I believe that you two should be left for some time. I will be back in an hour or so" Spectrum nodded lightly to Thunderlane and walked to Noone. A brief nuzzle was exchanged between the two before the purple alicorn took to the sky.
Spectrum walked through Ponyville hoping to get something to bite when she remembered something. For the last few years, she had been writing to a pony named Sweetie Belle from Ponyville. She had forgotten to write to her recently and she decided that it would be nice to meet her in person.
After walking around for a while more, Spectrum came across a bakery with a sign that read Sugarcube Corner. Spectrum walked inside the cosy building and was suddenly meet by a small light pink filly with a brown mane that had a streak of blue and another of pink.
"Hmmmm" The small earth pony brought her face up really close into Spectrum's and looked her right into the eyes.
"I've never seen you here. Are you are unlike the ponies that my mother tells me about. Soooo, you must be new!" The filly smiled a very toothy smile before saying:
"My mum works at this bakery along with Pumpkin and Pound Cake. I'm Candie Sweet, but I want to know who you are. What's your name?"
"My-my Name is Spectrum Eclipse. I'm just here to get something to eat and then I am trying to find a pony named Sweetie Belle"
"Can I call you 'Clipse? Well, I'll get you something to eat and then I'll take you to Sweetie Belle's house"
"Wait, how old are you? Are you sure that your mother would allow you to take me?"
"I'm five but my mum is fine. She wouldn't let me go around town by myself if she thought it was dangerous"
"Thank you, Candie. This is very nice of you, and here is something for you in return" Spectrum grabbed an opal out of her saddle bags and gave it to the filly.
"It's soo pretty! Thank you 'Clipse. Please come visit again. I'd love to get to know you more!"
"I will, on my word" Spectrum smiled at Candie before turning away. She knocked on the door of the boutique where Candie told her Sweetie Belle lived.
"Hello? Who is it?" A sweet voice sounded out
"Um, is this Sweetie Belle?"
"Why yes" The door opened and Spectrum looked upon the grey-white unicorn. "Who are you?"
"I'm Spectrum Eclipse I'm Twi-"
"Twilight Sparkle's daughter, yes. She told me a lot about you before you started writing to me. It's so great to see you in the flesh, but I must admit. You are a lot taller than I'd expect from somepony your age, why you're taller than me!" Sweetie smiled at Spectrum.
"It's a pleasure for me too"
The two hugged smiles across their face.
"Come inside and let's talk" Sweetie stepped aside and let Spectrum in.
"Button! We have a guest! Come down here, I would like you to meet her!" Sweetie called.
"Who's Button?" Spectrum asked, dumbfounded to who they were.
"Button Mash is my husband. We live here together. Sit down, I'll get us something to drink"
Sweetie Belle disappeared into the kitchen and came out a few seconds later with some juice and glasses. Behind her, Spectrum heard footsteps.
"Spectrum, this is Button Mash. Button Mash, this is Spectrum Eclipse, Princess Twilight Sparkles daughter"
"Ah, yes. Sweetie has told me a lot about you" The brown earth pony smiled and sat down.
The three chatted for a while about their careers and Spectrum's life in Canterlot when the subject changed to their families.
"Oh, I forgot to mention. We have a son, Pixelled Bullet. If you want to meet him, he is up in his room. But be careful, It's really dark in there"
"OK, then I have to go and meet back up with my friend and my mum. We have something planned this afternoon"
"We have to go soon as well, so we'll see each other soon"
Spectrum smiled and walked down the hall. At the end she looked upon a door that read;
Pix's room. Do not enter, gaming in prosess
Spectrum brought her hoof up to the door and gave it three loud and clear knocks.
"Come in" A young stallion's voice sounded from the room
Spectrum opened the door and walked in. The room was pitch black and the only light was coming from a large TV.
"Uh hi, you're Pix right?"
"Mmhmm" Spectrum looked at the face of the colt as he continued playing his game. She figured that she would at least get a response, but he didn't even twitch. She looked at the TV. There was a character running around, a sword was held in his magic and he was running at a massive giant. She then looked at the colt, he was holding something in his magic.
"What's that?" Spectrum asked. Confused as to what was happening.
"Video game"
"No, what's that you're holding?" The screen froze and the words 'Game paused' appeared.
"This is a controller. You know what that is right?" The colt flipped on the light with his magic. His coat was a dark grey and his mane was messy and brown.
"A controller?" Spectrum asked. Her head tipping slightly to one side.
"Have you never seen video games before?" Pix asked, standing up.
"No. I live in Canterlot. I'm Twilight Sparkle's daughter. I've never seen video games before" Spectrum looked away, a little ashamed.
"Wait, Twilight Sparkle. As in Princess Twilight Sparkle! You're the daughter of a Princess!?"
"Yes, but I just prefer to be treated as any other pony would be. So don't be bowing and kissing my hooves"
"Sorry, I just got a bit too excited. So what's your name? You already know mine"
"I'm Spectrum Eclipse, but you can just call me 'Clipse or Spec"
"Spec, so do you want me to teach you about video games? We've got a good ten minutes before I have to go to somewhere with my mum and dad"
"Yeah, that would be awesome!" Spectrum smiled and carefully flew over to Pix.
"So, this is the console which is where you put the disc in" He pointed at a smallish box with a small green light on the front.
"At the moment the game is pretty intricate, so I'll just change the game" Pix's horn gave off a small green glow as the open the console and swapped the disc.
"This here is the controller and this is what you use to move your character around and to 'control' them" He levitated the small device over to Spectrum and she collected it in her own magic.
Pix started up the game and pressed a few buttons. The screen showed a loading screen.
"So you move around by using this joystick here. And you use this one to look around" He indicated at the two sticks.
Spectrum tested one by pushing it forward.
"There you go, you're starting to get the hang of it. Oh and this button lets you jump"
The two sat in Pix's room, Pix teaching and Spectrum playing for a while. Spectrum was overjoyed and excited about the new things she was learning. She looked at the time on the screen and was instantly saddened.
"I'm sorry Pix, I have to go now" Spectrum stood up.
"Same here. Well, I hope we get to see each other again. We might even get to play a game against each other!"
The two said their goodbyes before leaving
"Noone! We have to meet our mums' ar Sweet Apple Acres! Come on!"
"Oh, shit. I forgot" The two spread their wings and raced to the apple farm.
"There you two are. I was just talking about you guys. Come on" Twilight ushered the two into a large red barn.
"Darling there you are!" Rarity rushed up to Noone. "C'mon the others are waiting!"
"Girls, this is Spectrum and Noone."
"So this is ya daughter you speak so highly of. Well, it's ah pleasure to meet ya" Applejack greeted Spectrum.
"Wait a minute! Where are the CMC! They should be here by now" Pinkie Pie jumped out of nowhere
"Don't worry, they will be here in a minute. How about we get everyone here acquainted with Spectrum and Noone first" Rarity softly pushed Pinkie Pie down.
"So this is the rest of the mane 6. The other elements of harmony" Twilight addressed. "I'll do this by each element"
"This is Rainbow Dash, the element of Loyalty. Her husband here is Soarin Skies. And their two children, 5-year-old Stream Strike and 4-year-old Australis"
"This is Fluttershy, the element of Kindness and Big McIntosh. Her two daughters, 4-year-old Melody Star. Her other daughter is the same age as you, Fear. Fear is Paradox and Penrose's half sibling that they don't know about, her father is Discord"
"And now we have Applejack and Caramel. Applejack is the element of Honesty and her son is 4-year-old Toffee Golden"
"And the last but not least, we have Pinkie Pie and Cheese Sandwich. Pinkie is the element of Laughter. And her daughter is Candie Sweet. But I believe you have already met her" Twilight smiled at Spectrum.
"And I don't think that I need to introduce you to your own brother and Sapphire, do I?"
"No"
"But for the others, This is my son, Nebula Streak, he is the same age as the others, 4. And here is Sapphire Stone, Noone's half sister and Rarity's second daughter who is again, 4"
The doors opened and ten ponies walked in.
"Ah, and here are the Cutie Mark Crusaders, Spectrum and Noone."
"We have Applebloom and Tender Taps with their daughter, Honey Crisp. Scootaloo and Rumble with the Twins, Speed Strike and Jasper. And lastly, Sweetie Belle and Button Mash with-"
"Pixelled Bullet. I was just at their place"
"Yes. The only ones who weren't able to make it are Sonata, Aria with their daughter Nerida and Sunset and Adagio with Dawn, along with Starlight and Sunburst. But it's a shame that Spike and Ember couldn't make it with Emerald and Lapis. But I don't blame Sunset and Starlight, they have full on duties as alicorns. And Sonata and Aria won't go anywhere without Adagio"
"Let's not dwell on those who aren't here and let get PARTYING!!!!" Pinkie Pie screamed. Music started to play and everybody split off to talk to one and other.
"Hey Spec, so you are the new ponies in town huh?" Pix trotted over.
"So uh, where will you guys be staying?"
"My mum's old castle. You know that massive one?"
"Cool! So do you-"
"*hiss* Who are you and why are you calling Spectrum 'Spec'?" Noone growled and stood in between Pix and Spectrum.
"Noone! Calm down he's a friend of mine."
"Noone! I want you to meet your Aunt!" Rarity called out.
"Pix! Come here please!" Sweetie Belle called.
Noone gave Pix one last glare and he glared back before they walked over to their mothers. Spectrum followed Noone.
"WHAT?!" Noone and Pix yelled in sync.
"You two are cousins" The two's eyes meet in a stone cold glare
"Hey, set this aside, we have a party to enjoy!"
"Bye every pony, see you tomorrow!" Twilight called as she carried walked off, carrying a sleeping Nebula and Rarity beside her, carrying Sapphire.
"That was one hell of a party. Pinkie Pie is an amazing party planner!"
"What did I tell you. Didn't you believe all those stories I told you about?" Twilight smirked at her daughter.
"To be honest, no I didn't. It didn't think that somepony could throw a party so awesome!"
"Well, now you know. But aside from my friends. Did YOU enjoy yourself?"
"I did very much. Thank you"
Spectrum, Rarity, Noone and Spectrum walked along the path to Twilight's castle. The massive doors opened and the torches ignited, lighting up the whole castle in a smooth yellow light.
"Just choose a random room. There are heaps. Goodnight. I'll see you in the morning" Twilight smiled before leaving and taking the small sleeping Nebula.
"See you 'Clipse" Noone yawned and walked down the hall.
Spectrum looked down one of the many halls and grudgingly choose one and found a large room.
"Ugggh" Spectrum groaned and flopped onto the bed. She wasn't even close to being tired!
After a few hours of rolling around, trying to fall asleep. She finally drifted off to sleep.
It was a big night....
