Birth of a Foal

  Rarity was sitting in her room working on a design for a dress she wanted to start working on. While she was working on the dress there was a knock on her door. She got up and went over to her door. When she got there she opened her door and was greeted by Pinkie Pie.

    "Hello Pinkie Pie." Rarity said. Rarity became concerned as she saw Pinkie Pies face. Pinkie Pie was contorting her face in pain. Rarity's eyes widened as she realized Pinkie Pie was in pain so she wanted to help her friend. She touched Pinkie Pies face and spoke to her.

    "What's wrong Pinkie?!" Rarity asked as she panicked. Pinkie Pie winced in pain as she limped towards Rarity. She collapsed in Rarity's arms so Rarity picked her up and laid her on the couch. Pinkie Pie gripped her body in pain. Pinkie Pie sobbed. Rarity was freaking out as she had no idea what she had to do.

    "It.....really hurts....get me some pain medication....please....ow!" Pinkie Pie cried out. Rarity ran to her medicine cabinet and got some aspirin and gave it to Pinkie Pie. Pinkie cried. Rarity looked Pinkie Pie over in concern. Tears fell down Pinkie Pie's face as she was in agony.

   "Pinkie! What is going on!?" Rarity asked as she panicked. Pinkie Pie cried as she winced and screamed. Rarity felt helpless as she didn't know how to help Pinkie Pie other than giving her pain medication. Pinkie Pie screamed as water trickled down her legs.

   Rarity's eyes widened as she realized what was going on. She grabbed a few towels and placed them under Pinkie Pie. Pinkie Pie laid on her belly and cried. Rarity went in front of Pinkie Pie and spoke to her.

   "Pinkie Pie your giving birth aren't you!?" Rarity asked as she panicked. Pinkie Pie nodded. Rarity wanted an explanation but decided there was no time for that. Pinkie Pie spread her legs as she cried. Rarity noticed that Pinkie Pie knew what to do. Pinkie Pie looked up at Rarity and Rarity grabbed a damp towel and wiped Pinkies face with it.

   "Pinkie Pie your going to have to push to get the foal out. I'll be with you the whole you. You need to push." Rarity spoke in a loud determined voice. Pinkie Pie shook her head no. Rarity could not believe how Pinkie Pie was answering to that. They had no time for refusing.

    "Pinkie you need to push or the foal will suffocate and it will the contractions will keep hurting you! You need to do this now." Rarity said determined. Tears fell down her eyes as she shook her head.

   "I need to explain to you how....I got pregnant....." Pinkie Pie said as she winced. Rarity was so worried about Pinkie Pie and her foal. She shook her head and responded to her.

   "We can worry about it after. First let's take care of your foal okay?!?" Rarity said quickly. Pinkie Pie nodded and Rarity sat by her and held her hood in her hood. Pinkie Pie had her eyes squeezed tight.

   "You need to push Pinkie! This is no time to wait around! Push!" Rarity spoke loudly. Pinkie began pushing as she screamed. Pinkie squeezed Rarity's hoof as she pushed. Rarity watched her closely but didn't see the foal. Pinkie Pie stopped pushing and took a deep breath.

  "Push Pinkie!" Rarity encouraged Pinkie Pie. Pinkie Pie pushed some more and screamed. She kept pushing. Rarity could see the head. Rarity put her hoof on Pinkie Pies back and spoke.

   "I can see the head Pinkie! Keep pushing! Whatever you do don't stop!" Rarity spoke in an encouraging voice. Pinkie Pie pushed as much as she could. She let out a loud scream of pain as she pushed. The foal was halfway out. Pinkie Pie stopped and breathed for a few moments.

    "It's almost out one more! Just one more!" Rarity told her friend. Pinkie Pie gave on more push and the foal came out crying. Rarity cut the cord and dried the baby off and then she gave it to Pinkie as she was still confused as to what was going on. Rarity knew they had the foal to take care of but she wanted to know.

   "Pinkie Pie? Why were you pregnant in the first place?" Rarity spoke as she was dumbfounded. Pinkie Pie looked off to the side as she held the foal. Pinkie Pie thought for a few moments and then decided to let out the truth about why she gave birth. While doing this she rocked the baby gently to put it to sleep.

    "Me and a stallion were..." Pinkie Pie stated shyly. Rarity nodded as she decided not to pry more. Pinkie Pie looked at her foal and smiled at it. After awhile it went to just cried softly. She looked up at Rarity and spoke.

   "Thanks Rarity. For everything....you helped me and I'm glad you did. I really appreciate that...I was afraid you wouldn't help me but you did. I know that you would always help me." Pinkie Pie said. Rarity smiled as she got tears in her eyes. The baby had calmed down and was now sleeping.

   "Your welcome...." Rarity said. Rarity brushed Pinkie Pies hair back. Pinkie Pie smiled. Pinkie Pie was happy and so was Rarity even though Rarity wanted to know more about him but decided not to pry anymore.

    "Is it a male or female Pinkie Pie asked. Pinkie Pie handed her the foal and Rarity checked. She then handed her the foal and spoke.

    "It's a female." Rarity said. Pinkie Pie held it gently while she looked at it. She then hugged it an spoke spoke.

    "Her name will be Harmony. Harmony will be her name." Pinkie Pie said. Rarity smiled and hugged Pinkie Pie as Pinkie Pie hugged her foal.
