Twilight Sparkle and her friends had just left on their monthly picnic, but this time they had a new member joining them. His name was Kain Highwind, and he was a Dragoon guard for Ponyville. He had a dark-blue body, with a brighter but still dark blue mane and tail. He was currently wearing his everyday clothes, since he was still not comfortable going naked, even with the fact that he had been in this world for a good 3-4 months now. This is because he actually originated from another world known simply as 'The Blue Planet'. They were just sitting down to eat when a storm started to blow in. "That's funny, I don't remember the weather pegasi scheduling a storm for today." Said Twilight, who was a bit confused. "That's because they didn't, otherwise I would have said that we needed to reschedule our picnic." said Rainbow Dash, who was just as confused as Twilight. "Well let's get out of this rain quick, it's messing up my mane!" moaned Rarity. "Fine, I'll just teleport us back to Ponyville" said Twilight. "Yes, well, when we do get back, I'm going to gear up and investigate this storm." said Kain. "Fine by me." Twilight replied. And with that, she teleported them all back to her castle. "Hey, Rainbow, mind going and checking with the weather pegusi about this sudden storm?" asked Kain. "Sue can! I'll be back before you know it!" she replied. So, Kain went to go grab his gear. It was the same gear he was wearing when he first came to Equestria, his Abel's Lance, Dragon Shield, Dragon Helm, Dragoon Plate, and Dragoon Gloves. He honestly didn't mind that they had not been replaced for at least a year, even though you would normally replace your gear every 3-4 months or so. This is because this equipment was considered the ultimate Dragoon gear in existence where he came from, and was all one of a kind. He would just have a blacksmith repair it when it got damaged. After equipping his gear, Kain then left to investigate the swarm. Twilight ended up coming with him. About 15 minutes later, they arrived back at the site where they were going to have their picnic. However, they would not be prepared for what they found there. Now patrolling the area, was what looked like 4 creatures, made of wind, with demonic facial features and what looked like giant bat wings, as well as claws. But, that wasn't the worst thing they saw, for they could see the dead bodies of anywhere from 6-9 pegasi, who they could only guess were the pegusi in charge of the weather in Ponyville. "No way, lesser air elementals! What are monsters from my world doing here?" Kain exclaimed. "I don't know, but I'll bet they are responsible for this storm!" Twilight said with a hint of fury in her voice. "No, these creatures are much too weak to have created this storm. So, whatever did do it, these are just the lackeys. However, I wouldn't put it past them to have been the ones who murdered the weather team. After all, nopony here in equestria but me knows how to fight these things off." Kain replied. Then, they were finally spotted by the elementals, who immediately charged at the two of them. Kain sidestepped one and immediately thrust his spear through the creature's left wing, and proceeded to rip the wing off the creature's body, causing it to howl in pain. But before he could take out the right wing, he was tackled to the ground by another one of the elementals, which then took the opportunity to claw him, drawing blood from his left shoulder. He winced in pain before throwing the creature off of him, and right into elemental number 3. After that, Kain picked up his spear and finished taking off the right wing of the first monster. The moment he ripped off the second wing, the creature fell to the ground, becoming immobile. "Since their just lesser elementals, or I guess you could call them baby elementals, they have yet to be able to learn how to fly without their wings. Take out the wings, and it makes the creature an easy target, seeing as how the only way that air elementals can move is through flight." he quickly explained. Twilight got the picture, and she then saved the dragoon from monster number 4, by blasting it's wings with magic, making it fall to the ground like the first one. By now, the last two elementals had untangled them selves from each other, and were coming at the two heroes again. Twilight shot one down, and Kain grounded the other one. Finally, all that was left was just 4 grounded elementals, unable to move. "Pile them all up on each other for me Twilight." Kain asked Twilight, who obliged. Next, Kain performed his signature jump attack, leaping a good 50 feet into the air, before crashing down upon the helpless elementals, driving his spear through each creatures heart at one time, killing all 4 of them, causing them to fade away into nothingness. Seeing that his work was done, he put his spear away for the time being. "I know that killing isn't something done here normally, but this time, there was no other choice. Those creatures were pure evil, and wouldn't think twice about killing anypony." Kain quickly explained when he saw the dumbfounded look on Twilight's face. "Now the only question is, who and where is the monster these things were serving?" "Right above you, Kain Highwind!"
