The Storm

It was a dark and stormy night in Ponyville; rain hit the windows of the houses, especially a carousel-shaped building. Inside Carrousel Boutique, a beautiful unicorn was sitting in the kitchen, enjoying a cup of tea. Her name was Rarity. She was the local fashionista and dressmaker. She seemed your typical fashionista to with a love for design, makeup, romance novels and well, fashion. A small filly came from under the stairs, and went to the kitchen. She was Sweetie Belle, Rarity's younger sister.

"Hi Rarity" said the little filly.

"Hello Sweetie, do you want a cup of tea?" she asked.

"Well, I'm a little thirsty, so yeah" answered Sweetie Belle.

As Sweetie served herself a cup with her magic, Rarity looked out the window, and curiously saw a shadow near a cloud, and suddenly the shadow struck the cloud, bursting into a thunder, making it leap a little. She saw a figure resembling a pony inside, but it was very fast.

Rarity saw with astonishment, and Sweetie had a smile on her face.

"What was that?" Rarity asked and looked at Sweetie, blinking in confusion.

"Hmm? Oh! That was Rumble's brother" said Sweetie.

"Who?" Rarity asked.

"He's my classmate" Sweetie said. "That was his brother; I can’t remember his name right now though.” She said as she put a hoof to her chin.

The mare looked with a certain interest at that cloud, Rarity had never seen anything like it. And again, you could see a black figure flying around the clouds in the distance. Rarity followed the black Pegasus with her gaze, he had a very visible blue mohawk.

"I've never seen anything like it, not even with Rainbow. How did he do it?" she ask.

"I don't know, Rumble says he's the only one who can do it in Ponyville, maybe in Equestria" said Sweetie.

"Well, that's something impressive" said Rarity with a slight smile on her lips.

She looked at the time on her clock on noticed its was half past nine. "It's getting late, better head off to bed Sweetie" she said.

"Okay!" she said happily. "Good night Rarity" said the little filly as she went upstairs after she finished her tea.

Meanwhile Rarity a cleaned the kitchen, and returned to her workshop to work on his latest project. But she couldn’t concentrate. She leaned her head on her hooves and kept thinking of the black Pegasus flying in the skies of the storm over Ponyville.

"Where have I seen that pony before? I know I've seen it before" she thought to herself, and began to recap every memory of that black pegasus with the icy blue mohawk.

"Now I remember he was the one who saved me" thought Rarity, remembering the moment.

It was during the Rainbow Dash training camp at the Wonderbolt Academy. Rarity smiled warmly at those times.

She peered out and saw a cloud and saw that mysterious pegasus circling, Rarity did not take his eyes off him, and continued her memory.

She and her other friends decided to visit Rainbow Dash, when her rude partner Lightning Dust accidentally created an uncontrollable tornado into her friend Twilight’s hot air balloon. It was falling down, but Rainbow had made a springboard with a cloud, making them bounce up. She smiled a little, remembering what happened next.

She had been saved suddenly, and she felt strong hooves around her body. She had opened her eyes slowly and saw a pair of golden eyes, looking at her with concern. Instead of saying anything, Rarity had felt a sudden need to hug her savior.

That incident with him, made Rarity realize something.

"Now that I think about it, I never really thanked him" she thought, and saw that pegasus beginning to fly further away from Carousel Boutique.

"I didn't even know his name, that was very sloppy on my part" she thought oddly, letting out an annoyed groan.

"If I see him again, I'll ask for his name, but for now, I have to get back to work, that should relax me" thought Rarity.

She sits down on his sewing machine, and returns to her work.

The next day Rarity was lying down, still not getting up from the bed. She was ready to start her day, but the thunder of the storm did not let her sleep, but that was not what prevented her sleep, it was that black pegasus pony with the blue mohawk.

"¿What's wrong with me? These emotions are not normal for me, not since..." she thought, remembering that pony that fell in love with for the first time, Prince Blueblood.

That pony that had broken her heart; The Prince Blueblood, she had dreamed for so long, but once she knew him he turned out to be selfish, bossy, spoiled, and especially impolite, which made Rarity stop dreaming about him.

Then she began to wonder why the mysterious pegasus made her feel so tense again.

"¿I'm so desperate?... Just... It's just a cute pony to see, it's just that." Rarity assured herself.

She had been thinking of The mysterious Pegasus since the day she saw the storm. That had given her something to think about for a long time.

"No. I will not make that mistake again, I already committed it with... with him" thought Rarity.

Trenderhoof was one of them, but he was out of her thoughts. Rarity had overtaken him by knowing his true tastes.

"Now that I think about it, if his little brother is Sweetie Belle's friend, then he must live in Ponyville, right?" Rarity reflected again.

She tried to think about how much she had changed since then. Then, she rose from her bed carefully, trying not to spoil her elegant mane and proceeded to put make up on her eyelashes.

"Of course, if I ever get to meet him, I must be looking my best" thought Rarity.

At that moment, Sweetie Belle entered her room.

"Good morning Rarity" said the little filly.

"Good morning Sweetie, did you get up early, are you going out with your friends?" Rarity asked.

"Nope, I'll stay home today, I have to do homework with a schoolmate" Sweetie said.

"Oh with who, Apple Bloom, Scootaloo, or both? “she ask.

"With Rumble. His brother is coming to drop him off  here" Sweetie said, smiling.

That took Rarity by surprise. So much, that she accidentally smeared mascara on her mane.

"Ermm... it doesn't bother you, does it?" Sweetie asked in a concerned and worried tone.

"Of course not Sweetie, it just surprised me a little, I'll have everything ready for your little friend to come" said Rarity, a little nervous.

"All right, goodbye!" said Sweetie as she left the room.

Once her sister left, Rarity sighed wearily.

"When I said I'd talk to him, I did not think it would be so quick" thought Rarity. "Well, it's a great opportunity to thank him, and also to get to know him a bit" she thought, with a faint smile on her face.

Then she looked at herself in the mirror with a horrified expression.

"OH MY! My hair is a mess! I have to be ready by the time he arrives!" screamed Rarity.
