Garnet Graphite, alicorn Prince of Equestria, lives in Ponyville by himself. He lives life day-to-day without any further ambition beyond conquering his personal issues. One day, he sees a performance of the Pony-Tones, and starts crushing on Fluttershy. Garnet decides to ask her out on a date.

This would be significantly easier if he weren't even more socially crippled than Fluttershy herself.
