When There is No More Room in Hell
To anypony who's reading this, it's been 4 hours since the attack started.
The day started normally, fillies going off to school, adults going to work, everything just seemed normal. Things started getting weird around noon, a few of my co workers started gossiping about attacks happening around Ponyville, Canterlot, Baltimore, you name it. The gossiping ranged from ponies attacking ponies, killings, animals going wild, etc. I assumed that whatever was happening was either a communication error, or wasn't that bad.
Soon ponies started going frantic, more and more worried about the attacks. We watched on the tv about the so called “killing disease.” News reporters said that it put ponies in a fit of rage before killing them. No one knew how it spread, no one knew what was the cause. More and more attacks were being reported, one after the other. It continued for an hour before Prin-fucking Celestia came on an officially declared that there would be an Equestria wide closing of all political departments. All of us were shocked, what the hell just happened? In just an hour of these attacks,our government was literally shut down!. Was it that bad? None of us knew what was going on, none of us knew the situation. Naturally, it frightened us, these attacks caused by the now donned “The Killing Disease” shut down our damned government..
We all went home afterwards, or most of us, the more paranoid ponies decided to stay in fear of this phenomenon. During my walk home I saw something that shook me to the bone, Canterlot guards were surrounding a small section of the, spears in hoof. They wouldn't let anypony pass. I eventually got a good look, there were two bodies, all bloodied. It looked like they were stabbed multiple times over with the spears. When I tried getting a better look a guard stepped up to me, and ordered me to go home..
I did, and I stayed there. After what I saw, I wouldn't let that happen to me… The hours passed and I saw more and more of the reports. I counted at least 30 separate attacks. Outside I heard screaming, soon cut off by Celestia-knows what. And by dusk everything was quiet.. There was less and less normal news, and even less and less of the reports on the attacks, until eventually the tv cut out. I tried different channels, restarting it, but everything was gone.. And then the screaming started again
All over this time. I went outside and I saw them. Ponies were killing others, and those who I assumed survived, getting right back up. It was a shitstorm out there. I saw a few who I believe were infected start to charge at me, so I did the only thing I could think of. I ran
I'm safe now, I met a group of friends who took me in, took me away from the infected’s grasps.

“What are you writing there Jack?” A voice from behind him sprung to life.
“Oh, uh nothing. It's just in case things start to go bad.. More than they already have at least. Anyways, do you see anyone out there Bonbon?”
“No. No one. We haven't seen anyone in hours, we can't be the only ones alive, right?”
“No one is gonna get out of here alive as long as they're in the streets.” Another voice piped in.
“But Lyra, there's had to been at least SOMEONE that made it out of Ponyville!” Bonbon yelled. “Besides they're slow and stupid, they shouldn't be that hard to get thro-”
“Stupid maybe, but they're definitely not slow. Remember, I was out there! They chased me until they locked onto someone else. They might seem slow now, but that's only because there's no pony for them to eat! As soon as th-”
“SHH” a dark grey pony ordered “I th-think one of them heard you.”
“You sure Octavia?” Bonbon said as the three of them walked towards the window.
“Yes, look.”
Octavia opened the blinds a bit more to reveal one of the ponies in the crowd staggering towards the dimly lit building. It started to trot a bit faster and that's when Octavia quickly closed the blinds.
“I think it saw us” Octavia said, the fear echoing in her voice. “Block the door with something!” She said sharply in her whisper.
Jack’s eyes caught sight of numerous large objects, but before he even could push there was a loud banging on the door, accompanied by loud growling. More and more the ponies outside started to give their attention to the door, more and more of the infected started to gather around the door.
Jack grabbed a table and grabbed hold of leg, he then proceeded to rip it off. He did the same to the other legs and threw them to the other three members.
“Don't be afraid to kill them, they sure as hell won't be afraid to kill you.”
As soon as Jack said that the door caved in, and immediately two of them entered the building. Jack rushed one with the broken end of the table leg pointed at them, and stabbed one in the neck. It staggered for just a second before burying its teeth into the pony closest, Lyra. Lyra screamed, and in a desperate attempt Jack dislodged the leg and swung at it's head. With a sickening crunch it went down.
“Go for the head!”
Bonbon quickly followed Jack’s examples and drove the splintered chair leg into the second ones head.
“Dammit, that hurt!”
“Sweetie you alright?!”
“Yeah Bon, just erch focus on them!”
“Let's get out of here, they're coming in!” Octavia ordered as the infected entered the house, one by one. As they entered, they were quickly put to rest by one of the four survivors.
“Damn! There's no end to them!” Jack screamed through the madness, attracting more of the infected ones.
“Listen! As soon as there's a break we mak-” Lyra was cut off as a large amount of blood spewed from her mouth, followed by a large cough, more came flying.
The others had no idea how to help, the three tasked with killing the last of the ones who attempted to get in.
“There! Get their bodies out of here and close the damn door! I'll look after Lyra!” Bonbon cried as she ran over to her marefriend.
As they cleared the bodies, and eventually closed the door, they turned to find Lyra on the ground, making various grunts of pain. They ran to her, unaware what to do, none of them had any idea what the hell was going on. They could only watch as Lyra grieved in pain, coughed up more blood, and cried. Bonbon held onto Lyra’s hoof praying to Celestia. Those prayers weren't answered though, as Lyra screamed one last time her neck jerked to one side and blood flew out of her mouth, splattering the floor. And with that, she was gone. The fast panicked breaths replaced with silence, her heart beat all but gone.
“No! No! NO! Stop, please come back!” Bonbon sobbed as Lyra’s leg went limp right out of her hooves. Jack and Octavia could only watch Bonbon turn to hysterics, begging Lyra to come back.
She thought her cries were answered when Lyra’s hoof twitched. It twitched again, and again. It only stopped when a soft groan came from Lyra’s mouth.
“L-Lyra? Are you alright? Please say something!”
“Bonbon, get away from her..” Jack walked slowly towards Lyra, table leg in hoof. “You know how when I stabbed the first one in the neck, and it didn't go down? But once I crushed it's head it finally did? I don't think they're alive, at least like us. I think she's turning into one of them!”
“No. No, she isn't!”
“Bonbon! Somepony who dies doesn't just start moving again!” Octavia tried to pull BonBon away.
“No! Listen, look she's ok, she's getting back up…” Bonbon’s voice carried off as Lyra slowly started to stand up.
Jack stepped forward, charging up his swing. “Bonbon, move now. She isn't Lyra anymore”
“But she's ok..she has to be”
Lyra’s head looked up, staring into Bonbon’s fearful and teary eyes. Her eyes trailed around the room, eyeing down the 3 blood soaked ponies. Her eyes locked on the closest pony to her, Bonbon. She let out a groan, and with that threw herself at BonBon. BonBon through her front leg out, hoping to stop her friend, now turned monster. Lyra dug her teeth into Bonbon’s foreleg, she screamed and used her other leg to swing the table leg into Lyra’s head. Every hit however being taken for nothing, as Bonbon's leg broke with a sickening crunch. Octavia broke out of her trance, and rushed Lyra, she pulled back the leg with the splintered table leg, and forcefully pushed it into Lyra’s head. Lyra’s body went limp but her mouth stood lodged inside Bonbon’s arm, Octavia tried to unhinge her, but in the process ripped out skin and bone alike.
“Oh Celestia this hurts!”
“We have to leave now! With some luck we might be able to get out of Ponyville, and find someone to help Bonbon!” Octavia said as she opened the door.
Jack helped Bonbon climb onto his back and exited the building. Octavia started running, and Jack quickly followed. Both ponies crushing, stabbing and jabbing the heads of the dead they encountered. They fought through the town, through the hundreds of infected. They continued to go through Ponyville until they ran right into a large horde. Their eyes widened as one by one the members of the horde started to turn their attention to them. They both turned around, looking to run away from the undeniable death that faced them, but turned to see them starting to surround the three.
“Go! Quick!”
Octavia and Jack both took off, Bonbon still on Jack’s back. They were almost there when Bonbon suddenly coughed blood, and slipped off his back and was attacked by the horde.
“BONBON” Octavia and Jack screamed in unison as Bonbon was devoured by the dead. They watched the flesh being torn from her body, the bones being broken, and then finally eaten.
“We aren't making it out of this..are we Jack?” Octavia said as she lifted her weapon.
“No..we aren't” Jack proceeded to lift his as well. “Well, I'm not. Go now! I'll distract them. If I'm going to die it might as well be for something.. Just go!” Jack then started walking towards the approaching dead.
“Wait, Jack…” Her words were unheard as Jack drove the splinters into the head of one of the infected. “Thank you!” She then ran. She galloped and galloped, trying to make it before the horde completely surrounded her, but just as she reached the gap one grabbed her from behind, pulling her back causing her to fall down. Before she could get up they finally reached her. She felt every bite, every cut, every bone they broke. She couldn't even scream as she was slowly eaten alive.
Jack, unblissfully unaware of Octavia’s state as he took down one after the other. The fatigue from such a strenuous day, and night eventually getting to him. The swings becoming slower and slower, the stabs becoming less and less deep. He knew he wouldn't survive, but he still held some sort of hope, some sort of hope that a miracle would happen. That hope quickly died as he felt a sharp pain in his back leg. He turned back and saw one, biting down on it. Jack drove the splinter down it’s head. He saw one quickly approach him but was unable to swing it fast enough, the result was a bite to the shoulder. Jack screamed and with the last of his diminishing strength, swung the splinter. He heard the skull crack as the splinter made contact.
He knew it was the end as the horde started to close in. He thought of his life, things he could've done different: classes he could've done better in, mares he should've tried for, jobs he should've applied for, all of them could've left him with a different outcome. As they bit down on skin, breaking muscle and bone alike, he wondered if he could've survived this, if anypony could.
His vision blurred as more and more blood was being spilt from his now broken figure, as more and more of him was eaten by the dead. He couldn't even feel the pain anymore, even as they started to dig into his face, even when everything finally went black.
