Author's Note

I am so sorry for not getting this out. Work's piled up and I didn't give this one enough love it deserves. So, lets get back to our fluff!

Also, I think I might be getting closer to the actual date section, but I want to make sure this isn't rushed. Do you guys think it is? Because I'm keeping these short around to in between 30,000 to 40,000 words. Although based on how the story is going, it may be a bit longer.

Sunny Flare and the rest of the girls continued to try and find where Sour and Smallfoot had ran off, but they weren't having any luck at all. The two girls were having a good time by themselves, and Smallfoot was hitting it off with Sour acting as a mystery human.

After an hour of searching, the four girls ended up sitting together over at a food court by themselves. They weren't going to have any luck finding those two in a place like this, especially with so many people around. And at their table, Lemon and Indigo were gnawing away at burgers, Sugarcoat just ate out of a Chinese food box from a Chinese food joint, while Sunny just kept pecking her fork at her salad. She was in no mood to eat.

Lemon stopped to look at Sunny's sad look, "You gonna eat dude? You look like you're about to starve to death."

Sunny sighed, "I'm afraid I have no interest in eating right now. I'm too worried about Smallfoot and Sour right now. They're off on their own and for all we know, Sour could have found out about Smallfoot's plan and Smallfoot's heart could be broken."

"I know you're worried, but we can't do anything right now. We've searched everywhere, and they've been gone for a while," Indigo replied before taking another sip of her milkshake.

Sunny just continued to play with her food. At that point, she just wanted to make sure the two girls were okay and neither one of them were hurt. Her thoughts were interrupted by the sound of her own phone buzzing in her pocket. She pulled it out and her eyes widened and a smile grew on her face.

"They're okay!" Sunny said with delight.

"Are you sure they're not dead yet?" Sugarcoat asked.

"No, they're fine! Sour said that she was showing Smallfoot, ahem, Big Rig around the mall. She said they were gonna go get something to eat here in the food court."

"Are they doing anything else?" Sugarcoat asked.

"Well... she says she's planning on joining the rest of us momentarily. Then once we're done eating we can go to the movies," Sunny replied.

Sugarcoat darted her eyes to the left, a sliver of maroon hair entered her view. She turned her head all the way and saw Sour Sweet and Smallfoot walking towards the group with smiles on their faces, and food in their hands.

"Hello dearie. Where did you go?" Sunny asked.

Sour Sweet and Smallfoot took seats down at the small table the group with their food. On Sour's plate there was a small cheeseburger, with a few fries in another little package, and a small minty cookie milkshake. In Smallfoot's tray, she had herself a burger as well along with some small chicken nuggets and a small shake.

"Big Rig and I walked around for a bit. Just hanging out, that's all," Sour said as she took a sip of her drink.

The four girls gave each other confused looks. Sour was... happy? An hour ago, including several days ago she was as sour as, well, Sour! But now she was bright and cheery. What changed?

"Sour, are you sure you're okay? Since when are you this happy?"

Sour rolled her eyes, "I'm just happy today Sugarcoat. Its nice to calm down and relax from school. So... what movie are we gonna go see today?"

"Well that's the problem, I don't know," Sunny said. "I've looked at what was available, and there are only three films that are interesting. Coconata is this animated film about a Polynesian princess, Goodnight Gracie is a horror story following a demon that attacks people in the dark, and Blocked is about this one about a demon that attacks her former friends during an internet chat."

"They all sound terrible," Sour said.

"Oh come now dearie, surely there must be one that interests you. I know there are other films, but I know you have no interest in those."

Sour sighed and took a moment to think. What was the one that seemed the most interesting out of them all? Which one would she rather see that wouldn't bore her and keep her on the edge of her seat? And most of all, which one wouldn't make her want to strangle the directors for the atrocity she might sit through for wasting her money?

"I suppose I have a bit of interest to see Goodnight Gracie."

The girls were shocked to hear Sour's response.

"Are you sure you want to see that movie? I heard its pretty scary. You sure you wouldn't want some company with you?"

"I. Don't. Get. Scared."

Indigo just backed off, not wanting to argue with Sour any further. But before she could say anything, she watched Smallfoot scribble something down on another piece of paper and present it to Sour.

Alright if... I can sit with you to that film? I've actually had a bit of some interest to see it.

Sour looked back to Smallfoot who had a nervous smile on her face. But Sour just giggled and smiled back.

"I wouldn't mind at all. I'll pay," Sour said.

No, no, I wouldn't dream of it. Let me pay.

"Big Rig. You paid for my shakes and my food, its the least I can do. Okay?"

Smallfoot just shrugged and backed off. No need to argue about money. If she wanted to pay for it, just let her pay for it.

Sour looked back to her food and continued to eat. She didn't even see the other smiles on the girls faces. They were getting along, and it didn't sound like she found about Smallfoot even when she was left alone with her. Maybe her plan was going to work. And if her mood was as bright and cheery today because of her, then maybe she could make her happy.

Once the girls finished their food, they rushed off to go straight to the movie theater. They couldn't miss their movie, or else they'd have to wait for several hours, or go see it on another day. They just had to go, they had nothing else to do for the day, so this was something they couldn't miss it.

They stepped inside and stood in line to get the tickets for the film they wanted to go and see. Sunny clutched the tickets for the film that Sugarcoat, Indigo, Lemon and herself were going to see, while Sour and Smallfoot got their tickets for the horror film.

Just before they were going off into their seperate ways again, Sunny halted Sour to speak to her.

"Dearie, can I talk to you in private real quick?"

"Um, sure, of course. Big Rig, you can go on in. I'll be there soon," Sour said to Smallfoot before going to talk with Sunny Flare in complete privacy.

Once they found a spot alcove with little to no people around, especially far from the rest of the girls so they could talk in complete privacy.

"So, uh... what did you need me to talk about?" Sour asked.

"Well I wanted to ask if you were doing okay. I know I bothered you about this before, but you weren't looking so good in the last week, and now suddenly you are more happy than I've ever seen from a single day at Crystal Prep. Are you sure you're alright?" Sunny asked.

Sour wanted to say no, but she was right. Her mood has been more happy today than any other day of her life. There was no denying it.

"Well... okay. I should probably tell you the truth. I wasn't alright. I was kind of sad seeing you all so happy with your relationships, and... I guess part of me was jealous that most of you had someone to love and... I had no one."

Sunny rubbed Sour's shoulder with a frown, "Oh Sour... I'm so sorry, I didn't know. But, wait, if this is how you were feeling, how come you didn't tell us? We would have talked to you if you were feeling sad."

"That's the other thing. I didn't want to sound... stupid. I honestly felt stupid I was feeling like this, and I didn't want you all to think what I was feeling was stupid."

"Dearie, nothing you feel is stupid. If you were feeling sad, then its okay. You can tell us these things if there's a problem."

Sour smiled, "Thanks Sunny. I'm sorry, I just... I didn't know how to talk about this."

"Its alright," Sunny smiled again.

Sunny wrapped her arms around Sour and pulled her in for a warm hug, and patted her back. Sunny could feel Sour calming down.

"So...", Sour said as she pulled out of the warm embrace, "Is there any advice you can give me? I kind of need some advice."

"Sure dearie, what do you need?"

Sour gazed back to check if any of the other girls were watching them. No sign, perfect time.

"Okay, I... I kind of, like... Big Rig." Sour blushed.

"Okay...", Sunny said unsure.

"No, I mean... I really really like her."

Sunny raised a brow, "I'm going to need some more context Sour."

Sour groaned, "I think I'm in love with her, okay!?"

Sunny's eyes widened, "Whoa, whoa, whoa! Hold on, are you sure? You two just met several hours ago! How can you be sure you're really in love, this could be just a simple crush."

"I... I guess it is. But, I don't know. When I was with her, I felt... happy. I felt like I could open up to her about anything, and she wouldn't be mean or snap at me. I... I don't even know anymore. I don't even think she's gay like me," Sour said.

"Actually dearie, I think she is."

Sour's eyes widened, "Huh?"

"She was surprisingly open about being gay. But getting back on topic here, I don't think you should rush into this. I think you two still need to find some common ground. Find some more common interests, find things you like to do together. That's the first thing, you need to find things in common with each other. You need chemistry."

Sour thought in her head. Sunny did raise a point. She was jumping the gun a bit early on falling in love with her. Maybe she did need to spend some more time with this chick. After all, they did just meet. It was probably for the best.

"You're right. I'm gonna wait until we find some ground. But until then, you can keep that a secret from the girls? I don't want them to know I fell in love this... fast."

Sunny smiled.

"I promise dearie. This will remain between us. If you need any advice or help whatsoever, you can come talk to me."

Sour smiled again, "Thank you Sunny. I really appreciate this."

The short haired girl gave another smile and nod, "Not a problem. Now go, go see your movie. In fact... I think Big Rig has been waiting for you all this time."

"Huh?"

Sour looked back and saw Smallfoot was still standing near the doors leading to their screening room. She was patiently waiting for Sour to return.

"She waited for me... she's... you think she--"

"Sour. Don't make assumptions. I'm sure she's waiting as a polite friend... for now. Just go enjoy your movie with her."

Sour smiled again, "Okay. You're right. And I hope you enjoy your movie too. Is our sleepover still on?"

"Yes it is. After the movies, we go back to my house for a sleepover."

"Perfect. See you after the movie," Sour grinned.

"Enjoy your movie," Sunny said just before Sour walked away to go to Smallfoot.

Smallfoot stood waiting by the door, and a warm smile came onto her face when she saw Sour return.

"You waited for me? You didn't have to," Sour said.

Smallfoot took out her pad of paper and she wrote another note.

It would be rude to go in without you.

"Aw, that's so sweet of you," Sour cooed.

Smallfoot couldn't help but blush.

"Shall we go in?" Sour asked.

Smallfoot nodded. With a smile, Sour walked with Smallfoot into the screening room to go see their movie. All the while Sunny and the others watched them go in.

"You think they'll be okay?" Sugarcoat asked.

"I'm absolutely positive they'll be alright."

"You sure they won't start making out in the theater? I remember doing that with my ex-girlfriend, and oh boy... the manager was pretty mad," Lemon blushed.

"Knowing Sour... yeah." Indigo said nonchalantly.

"We'll see when they exit out. Hopefully they won't be in the nude when they leave," Sugarcoat said.

Not saying another word, the girls walked into the other screening room to go see their animated film. But all Sunny could think about was what Sour told her. She was already in love? No. She couldn't be. She was with this girl for a few hours, this couldn't be too quick. No worry, she'll interact with her some more. Maybe they have more in common than they may know. They just needed to be left alone for a bit. Hopefully she wouldn't find about her secret identity...
