Dashing through Troubles

   She woke up with a start, her rainbow mane covering her eyes as she yawned, her cyan wings fluttering in the wind.  Rainbow Dash had just woken up from a cloud nap, and she was due to the CMC's clubhouse in 10 minutes to pickup her adoptive sister, Scootaloo.

RD's POV

Hmmmmmm... let's see how fast I can get there... 1,2,3, go!

She zoomed past the trees of Sweet Apple Acres, knocking down some apples in return.  Sweet Apple Acres was where one of her best friends Applejack and her family lived.  AJ was a hardworking farm pony with straw-colored hair, always covered by a cowboy hat she got from her 1st birthday, and an orange coat to match.  Working in the apple orchards and making a reputation for one of the best apple orchards in all of Equestria! Boy, would she kill for some of their cider.

"Hey Rainbow? Ya comin' to pick up the little youngin' Scootaloo?" Applejack yelled.

"Yep!" Rainbow said while looking down at the trotting Applejack.  Gliding down next to AJ, they began to walk down to the clubhouse together.

"Hey, I heard them youngins' are plannin' a nother' campin trip," said AJ.

"Cool! We can ask Rarity to go too. If she's not too busy whining at all the mud on the roads there," Rainbow sarcastically said.

They shared a chuckle, and heard an *ahem*... sweat beads appeared on the cyan and orange ponies.  They turned.

"Hey Rarity, we were just talking about you. Heheh," Rainbow stuttered.

" Why, I never thought that you would look down on me like that," Rarity said in her Canterlot accent.

The hotheaded mares started to bicker until they reached the clubhouse.  As they reached the front door step...
