The elevator music was relaxing. This was just a normal day for Flare Drop. Except she was with her best friend. Who she had a crush on. Anyway, other than that, it was normal.
Until the elevator stopped moving.
And the lights went out.
And the music stopped.
"Oh dear," Lightning, Flare's friend, muttered. "It seems the power has gone out."
"No shit, Sherlock. Are you gonna say it's dark next?" Flare said sarcastically, then immediately regretted it. "I-I-I mean, it's kinda- I have my phone, and I could get us some light," she sputtered, pulling her phone out of her purse and turning the screen on. "S-see? We have-"
Her phone died.
"-light. Dammit. Do you, by any chance, have a flashlight on you? I know you don't have a phone."
"Why the hell would I have a flashlight on me? I'm a gamer, not a security guard!" Lightning fumed.
"R-right... Sorry, Lightning," she said softly. Today just isn't my day she thought, not noticing herself sniffle. Lightning, however, noticed it and hugged her.
"Don't cry, Flare. I'm sorry for yelling at you," he whispered. "It's just... I never thought I'd get stuck in an elevator. Least of all with my c- best friend."
"Heh... Me either... But, at least it's not with someone who we absolutely hate, right?" she said, smiling a bit.
"True," Lightning stated. "Hey, uh, how long do you think it'll take them to either get the power back on or f- Flare what are you doing?"
She had moved closer to him without thinking.
"I uh... You're just very warm."
"Oh really. Well maybe I should hug you tighter, then, hm?" he teased.
Flare stifled a giggle, but could feel her face heating up. "No, it's fine," she told him, trying to pull away. Lightning wouldn't let her.
"Oh, did you think escape would be easy? Well you though wrong! You shall be trapped in my hugs forever!" Lightning taunted playfully. "My arms are a cell, and you are the prisoner. Muahahahah."
"Oh please. If I didn't love you I'd be ou-"
Everything stopped. Lightning released Flare.
"...Shit."
"You... You love me?" Lightning asked, surprised.
"Uh... Um..."
"And here I thought... Well, maybe if I... No... Hm," Lightning thought aloud.
"Goddamn it, Lightning, just say it. It's not like it could get any wo-" Flare was cut off by a kiss that caused her face to heat up.
"I love you too," Lightning said after pulling away, and before coming back for another, more passionate, kiss.
If they had been found then, they would've just gone home and continued where they left off. Maybe in another universe, that's exactly what happened. But they weren't found then, and they eventually pulled apart from each other.
Flare could feel something poking her. She looked down, but still couldn't see anything.
"Seems like someone's excited," she teased. Lightning's face heated up.
"What do you want me to do about it then, hm? It's not like you want to... Oh you little bitch. You want to, don't you?" he quipped.
"Hmhm maybe, maybe not~ But the question is, do you want to?"
"What the fuck do you think? You just said-"
"I know. I was just teasing you," Flare replied, cutting him off.
"So does that mean you do or don't?"
"You clueless boy, this is why I love you so much. Of course I do."
Lightning kissed her neck, and started working his way down...

[No. It's better this way anyway.]
Fallout Shieldhunter was about to get the elevator door open, but the second he stopped prying with the crowbar, the doors shut again. "Dammit! I almost had it opened too!" he swore, propping the crowbar up on the wall so he could rest a minute. "Go open the elevators, they said. It'll be easy, they said. YEAH CAUSE THIS IS EASY!" he grumbled, picking the crowbar back up and starting to pry the doors open again. "Never again! If they ask me to open the elevators next time the power goes out, I'll say no! Have someone else does this Goddamned job. If they fire me for saying no, I'll just work somewhere else. Because opening elevators are not worth keeping a job."
He couldn't grumbling and complaining about his job while trying to pry the doors open. When he finally got the doors open though, he was shocked to see two people-
"I don't get paid enough for this," he muttered under his breath, turning around. "You two get your fucking clothes back on and get out before I leave you in here. You have five minutes."
Five and a half minutes later, both Flare and Lightning had redressed and gotten out of the elevator. They looked a little sheepish.
"We're sorry, sir," Flare began. "We didn't expect help so soo-"
"Miss, stop talking. I don't care. If you shut up, all I'll have to tell my boss is that I found you too close together. It wouldn't be a lie. But it would if you keep talking. So shut up and let me get these other elevators open, in case you weren't the only ones stuck in one."
"R-right. Sorry sir."
"Damn right you're sorry. Now, if you want to help, hold this crowbar in place."
