Chapter 1
On a cold fall day everything was normal at CHS with the exception being as you could already guess a new student arrived. Pulling up to the school in a red challenger, he had orange skin, red eyes, short red, black and silver hair, and a black beard. He was wearing a grey t-shirt, black baggy pants, a black zipped up hoodie, grey shoes and with a white mesh backpack, his name was Bolt Nightblade(bad name I know). He stood at 6"7" and despite towering over everyone, Bolt was what you could call a gentle giant, much like Fluttershy he was quiet and preferred to keep to himself and what caused this was that he had severe anxiety issues.
As he walked down the halls holding out a schedule trying to avoid others as they passed by, even know he got looks as someone his size isn't unnoticeable, luckily for Bolt the other students were to busy getting to their classes to ask questions. When he entered his first class Bolt sat in the back of the room of trying to be distant from the others as much as he could. As he was getting his books out he was surprised by a quiet voice.
"Hello i'm Fluttershy." said Flutershy with a welcoming smile as she sat down in front of him.
"H-hi i-i'm Bolt." he answered nervously
"Um I take it your new here?" she asked
Bolt just nodded his head and looked away from her, this was unusual for Fluttershy as hardly anyone got nervous because of her. She saw that his fingers were shaking a little and noticed that he had a large scar that ran from the top of his right thumb and down his hand, Fluttershy was about to ask him about this until the teacher walked in.
"Alright, alright quiet down it's time to start class, now open your books to page 73." he said
Bolt had managed to get through his few classes and sat alone at lunch much to his joy, across the lunch room sat Fluttershy and the rest of her friends.
"Okay so who's turn is it to sing lead on the new song?" asked Rainbow Dash
"I lost track of it, I believe it's Apple Jack's or Twilight's turn." answered Sunset
"Well darling I could always sing lead if you unsure." said Rarity
"You sang lead on the last one." said Apple Jack
"All i'm doing is volunteering my lovely voice, since apparently none of us knows who's turn it is for lead." said Rarity.
As the conversation continued Fluttershy noticed by Bolt eating by himself and managed to quietly get up and walk over to him.
"Um hello Bolt." she said once again bearing the same welcoming smile from before.
"H-hi Fluttershy was it?" he asked, as the shy girl nodded in response.
"So how has your first day been?"
"Good."
"Well that's nice."
"I guess."
"Where did you go to school before?"
"Everton City High School."
"Oh, What made you transfer?"
Fluttershy waited for a response, the awkwardness was clear and she didn't know if was a good time to ask about the scar on his had or not.
Meanwhile back at the table with the rest of the Rainbooms their conservation had switched to parties thanks to Pinkie
"Hey does anyone know where Fluttershy went?" asked Twilight the others just shrugged in response
"Oh she's over the talking with that big guy!" Pinkie said pointing towards other the two in question
"I've never seen him before." said Rainbow
"I don't think any of us have he's probably a new student." said Sunset
"Do you think we should go over and say hi or would that make him nervous if we all went over there." Twilight asked
"I think it's best if we ask Fluttershy who he is later during our band practice." Sunset answered
"So....why are you sitting with me again?" Bolt asked Fluttershy
"Well... you seemed really nervous around me this morning and I saw that you were eating alone and I wanted to see how you day has been so far." she responded
"Oh alright, it was good so is that it?" he said leaning slightly away from her.
"Actually......... you kinda didn't answer my question before and I was also curious about the scar on your hand." she answered pointing at the scar causing Bolt to pull up his sleeve and once again looked away from her.
"Uh that's kinda personal and I really don't want to talk about." he said
"Oh um.....Do you have that scar because you um..cut-" she asked
"I used to." he quickly answered
"Why."
"If you want to know then I don't want to answer it here."
"Well do you have a free period at the end of the day?" she asked and he nodded. the bell rang for the end of the last round of lunch and the end of third period.
"Well meet me in the library for free period and we can talk there if it's alright with you." she said
"Yeah it's alright." he said
As she walked away Bolt sighed as he didn't think during his first day at this school that he would be telling someone his deepest secret. However despite being uncomfortable with the thought, he could tell that Fluttershy was a in the same boat as he was at least a little socially, which made him feel content that there was someone that could understand.
