Twilight opened her eyes and found herself in a dark room confused she called out

"Hello is there anypony here?"

She then felt around the dark room until she felt a door knob. She turned it finding her self in a hallway of some sort.

This is Canterlot Twilight thought remembering trekking thought this hallways numerous of times

Noticing a window she looked out of it and all that overcame her was dread.

Fire. Fire and ruins, that is all that remained of the once beautiful city.

"What happened?" Twilight asked herself

I've got to find Celestia. Is the only thought she had as she trotted down the hall towards the throne room.

As she trek down the hallway she began to her voices. She then reached the door leading to the throne room deciding not to take a chance, she opened the door gently and looked inside the room. What she saw shocked her.

She saw herself and an elder centaur, who is sitting on the throne that Celestia once herself occupied, talking to one another

"Give up Twilight it's over, all six Infinity Stones are mine and now you have no choice but give up and bow before me." the Centaur said to her from where he sat

"I will never bow before you Erebus." future Twilight said

"You turned your back and I wrecked your world. I robbed your ponies of their powers, their hopes, their future, themselves?" Erebus said to her

Twilight said nothing with her head hung, just as he got up and starting to walk towards her.

"Pain is what makes us strong. And all your friends are dead, including your lover. What was his name?" he said sarcastically

She bared her teeth.

"Ah Flash Sentry that was the name of your lover wasn't." he said mockingly

She just stared at the ground trying not cry

"There is no god but me. So kneel now or later. In the end, you will kneel." he said approaching her

With no choice left future Twilight bowed and with tears in her eyes said to him

"I submit myself to you.......my lord."

Erebus smiled at this then raised the gauntlet at her and blasted her with it. Her eyes were closed, then opened them with the eyes of a completely different pony

"Tell me who rules you." he asked her

She lifted her head and with a smile forming on her face said "You, Lord Erebus."

He smiled at this knowing that she's under his complete control

"Let the heavens run red with blood, but in the end as always I will stand triumphant." he smiled as he singled his new subject to rise

"What now, my lord." she asked

"Now." Erebus said as he strokes her check affectionately "My love, we look beyond this planet to other worlds for us to rule."

"As you wish.....my love." she said

Smiling he brought her into a kiss which she gradually accepted. As the two kiss passionately, past Twilight quietly and gently closed the door not noticing the tears in her eyes.

"How could this have happen." Twilight said

"Afraid of your future young one?" A mysterious voice asked her. When she heard this she look around her and asked

"Who's there?"

"Who I am is not important right now, but who you are is." the voice said

"What do you mean?" she asked

"The way I see it, every life is a pile of good things and bad things. The good things don’t always soften the bad things, but vice versa, the bad things don’t always spoil the good things and make them unimportant.” the voice told her

"Who was the centaur I saw?" she asked

"His name is Erebus, and if I we're to describe him I say he's like fire and ice and rage. He's like the night, and the storm in the heart of the sun. He's ancient and forever.

"But Celestia told me he's gone."

"Return he has."

"How?"

"That's for you to find out, but for now I must get going." the voice told her

"But what if I need to speak with you again?" she asked him

"Mmmm.......An idea I have." the voice said

"What idea?" she asked confused

"I'll be inside your head and if have any questions I'll answer them without giving you an actually answer." the voice said

"That could work, I agree with that." she said

"Then when you awake from this dream I'll be with you." the voice stated

"Awake?" she asked "You mean this is just a.."

"Dream,yes it is, but this is also a vision of a possible future." the voice said

"But how?" she asked

“Well like they always say, we're all stories in the end.” the voice said

"How can I stop this?" she asked

"The future has many paths - choose wisely." the voice said as everything turned to darkness

Then she suddenly awoke back in her own bed. Looking around she thought to herself

Was that real or a vision of things to come

As she got out and opened the curtains she saw that everything was fine. Then the voice came though her head and said

"So this is what being inside somepony head's is like a lot more roomy then I though it would be."

"Well then let me show you everything else." Twilight said smiling as she trotted to the door

Author's Note

Is that truly her future? Who is the voice? Why did he decided to be Twilight's new companion?

So for this extremely short chapter, but I had to get this out of the way cause this dream/vision will be a huge part of the second story that I will be writing
