Two years ago, a simple quarrel evolved into a maelstrom of anger and pride that obliterated the most important friendship in all of Equestria. Twilight Sparkle, the so-called Princess of Friendship, wallows alone in her own misery, drinking away her sorrows as Ponyville (like the rest of Equestria) falls to pieces. Twilight has shut herself off from all contact with anypony, including the other princesses. Celestia and Luna decide to send Cadance to speak with Twilight face-to-face, in the hopes of convincing her to seek forgiveness from and reconciliation with her former friends.
