"Kyaaaaaaa!" Crunch! Strawberry swirl crashed into the wyvern, her hoof crushing the beast's skull and splattering crimson up her leg. The blow finished the creature and it dropped unceremoniously to the floor. The pegasus mare with her leg still embedded in the wyvern's head followed. Pulling her leg out with a satisfying squish sort of sound she wiped a bead of sweat of her forehead, grinning wildly and panting heavily. Strawberry walked to the centre of the wyvern's back and forced a metal rod she produced from her saddle bag and drove it through the beast, the sound of its spinck cracking and splitting in two with a loud crack satisfied the manic mare. She brushed her mane away from her eyes and stood silent and still for a moment, ready for any incoming attack. None came.
With a quick flick of her wings she shot upwards into the sky, folding her wings back once she was level with the clouds and dropping. She turned in the air so that she was nose diving towards the corpse and spread her wings again, beating hard to increase speed. She succeeded. A loud bang and a shock wave of energy turned heads for miles as she sonic rainboomed into the monster sending various body parts flying in all directions. Once she was certain nopony was going to come running she retreated into the dark expanse of the Everfree.
While to moat the Everfree was a dark dangerous hell to Strawberry this was home. The scent of wyvern blood caught the attention of many predators but most were smart enough to avoid the mare. She had a reputation for tearing apart attackers, never showing mercy. In the forest it was fight or die, Strawberry chose fight. She knew what her friends would think once returned to base but there was no time to clean up, that'd have to wait until later.
The town of Everfree, once a decaying town overshadowed by the castle of the two sisters was now filled with ponies, griffins and many more Equestrians This place was thriving. For Strawberry it was difficult to believe this place was a ghost town a mere 70 years ago.
Trotting through the centre of town got anypony strange looks, but Strawberry knew most would shake it off and assume she got in a fight with an Everfree predator, which wasn't far from the truth really. She regularly came back blooded and it filled ger with pride to know that everypony could see she'd survived the Everfree once more. Nothing made her feel better than being able to show how strong she was even if that meant killing wyverns in her free time. But today she really didn't care, she had been asked to join the region's most important group, The Equestria Defence. She'd been trying to get in that group since she was a little filly and now was her opportunity to do so.

The familiar buzz of electricity hit Blaze’s ears as the lighting flickered to life. The long corridor seemed to have no end but he knew all too well that that was a simple enchantment to keep unwanted visitors out. The way to enter was simple, walk forward with your eyes shut. The corridor was really only five meters so it didn't take long to reach the door. If you are supposed to be there the door would open it self, if not it would appear to be a plain wall. Fortunately Blaze was permitted to enter and the door quietly slipped open allowing him passage.
Inside was a large round room with a circular pool of white liquid in the centre, the fourth wall of Equestria. Of course this wasn't the only access to the fourth wall but it was the largest and breaking. The cracks in the magic field sealing it off was growing and most definitely visible. Blaze was worried by this and he knew so was the princess. Even when she reassured him it was stronger than it looked he could see the worry in her eye. The princess had been through a lot, the scars of her past visible. He hated the barrier between words because it was breaking and the last thing to enter Equestria cost Twilight her eye and he wouldn't stand for it. The beast got what it deserved.
He gently walked around the hole in reality and made his way through a heavy iron door on the other side of the room. Through the door, a long corridor lined with life preservation pods. Some pods contained injured ponies left to heal and others contained strays. The creatures with no world to go to or no link with their world could be made. How they got here from nonexistent worlds was a mystery but Blaze didn't care about the various creatures from across the multiverse, he wanted what was through the next door.
Releasing the magic lock on the door he stepped through into a long dark corridor. This corridor was lined with the same pods but most were empty save for the two at the end of the corridor. Blaze smiled once he reached them.
The pods clicked signaling the doors unlocked and the frozen fluid melted and drained away revealing the pods contents. Blaze lifted the pods main containment section off the wall with his telekinesis and carried the heavy objects with great care back to where he came.
Once he reached the circular room again he placed the pods on the floor by the portal and released the sleep spell off its inhabitants and made for the door. Today was going to be interesting.

Strawberry rushed toward the castle, ignoring the strange looks she was getting. Pausing to accept a quick rain shower to soak away the blood before galloping full speed towards her destination. This was going to be her moment, the moment she joined the defenders.
By the time she reached the throne room, her pastel mane stuck up in random places and her fur thick with sweat, she was in no form to meet the princess but it was now or never.
When the doors swung open she expected to see a large group of ponies, there were only two. The princess and a cream coloured stallion stood in the room, no large group just two.
