The dark creature with glowing green eyes was just doing as he was told, he was a worker bee… Or rather changeling, for his queen and hive. He did was was best for his queen and hive. Until that day. He had escaped. He wanted a taste of freedom. The wind rushed through his holes, being a changeling his body was full of holes, he was more insect than pony. He longed for freedoms which normal ponies had. He wanted love, acceptance, tolerance, and patience, for he, was a changeling. He wasn't accepted anywhere other than the hive. A voice called out to him.

“Bladefang, are you alright?” Bladefang spun around, surprised. He spotted his only “friend.” but even than that was questionable. He whipped up a fake smile as he responded.

“Yes whirlwind.” he said. Whirlwind was a scraggly, but very fast, in fact, the fastest flying changeling in all of chrysalis’s army. Whirlwind nodded. Bladefang fit on the top ten spectrum for chrysalis and her army. Number five, best fighter. That seemed like all he was good for. Fighting. He wasn't even strong, just smart. Smarter than most changelings and smarter than the average pony. He had stolen many books during the night from the canterlot library. He remembered the big battle with canterlot a few years ago. There was still ire between the two species. That was probably his fault though. He sighed as he remembered his mistakes. Whirlwind winked at bladefang.

“Don't worry.” she began. “I know what will cheer you up.” she said smiling. “How about me and you go for a fly?” she asked. Bladefang shook his head.

“I'm not a good flier. You know that.” he said. Whirlwind snorted.

“Top five in the changeling army.” she said with a grin. “Come on. Please?” she begged. With a look of annoyance, bladefang’s wings began to flap rapidly like a bug. His horn lit up as his physical body erupted into flame. He had changed into a pony, an alicorn, long since deceased. For centuries. His name, cloudwalker. His dark fluffy mane, matched only in excellence with his light sky blue body, which fit in perfectly with the sky. “Make sure you pick somebody you won't run into.” He said. Whirlwind smiled as her body also erupted as she changed into a Pegasus pony. She too was deceased. Her name: Skygaze. She was a pitch black pony, with eyes that gleamed and glistened like the stars in the night sky. She was an astronomer. She named the constellations in trottingham. But none of that mattered. The two ponies began to fly across the night sky, both going faster and faster. Bladefang felt annoyed. They spotted a small town… Bladefang felt a presence. A scary presence. A Pegasus pony flew up to greet them.

“Hello!” He said happily. “I haven’t seen you around here before!” Bladefang chuckled as he responded.

“My name is corrupt cake. And this is my sister, skygaze.” he lied. The Pegasus smiled.

“Its an honor to meet you two.” he began. “What brings you to ponyville?” he asked. His eyes saw the horn and than the wings. “Good gracious! An alicorn? I'd better take you to see Princess Twilight. Whirlwind gasped.

"No thank you!" He said nervously. "I was just flying with my sister, its genetics, I am related to." He took only a second to make up a name. "Whiplash." He said with a sheepish smile. "I was just flying with my sister, We should be heading." The stallion interrupted him.

"Nonsense!" He began. "Please, I insist you com with me, Princess twilight would be happy to meet you two!" He said. The two changelings looked at eachother.

"Oh shit, the princess of Friendship." Bladefang mumbled under his breath. "If she finds us she is sure to capture us." Whirlwind nodded.

"We must be careful." She said.

"Still think it was a good idea to come out here?" Bladefang said sarcastically. Whirlwind shrugged.

"I don't know." She said. "We will find out soon." The three ponies slowly walked toward a giant, crystal castle. On the way, Bladefang passed a very gorgeous stallion. His blood began to pump. the stallion was a unicorn, was rather skinny, and had very light brown hair with a light brown mane. His cutie mark was a cup of coffee, with a rainbow flag behind it. Bladefang attempted to hide his blush. He stopped as he watched the stallion walk into a shop with a cup of coffee hanging over the door. Bladefang made a mental note to go there after his meeting with the princess.
