The world feels...cold. She can't feel anything, not even herself. She can't open her eyes; and she feels like she's floating in emptiness. Voices flood her mind deafening her thoughts. They scream and scream but no words can be heard.

"Who am I," the words echo in the emptiness.

"Who are you?" A voiced echoed back.

"What's my purpose."

"What is your purpose."

For everything she said a voice echoed back. She could not hear the voice and she could barely hear herself. The emptiness slowly began to fade, she felt air brush against her in a forceful manner.

"Am I falling?"

No response came from the question; and the sensation of falling continued to grow. He eyes not once opened; and as soon as she felt like she was falling, the sensation disappeared. And she felt nothing once again. Not even the wind.

She felt warm, hot more like it. The ground beneath her was firm and soft; and her eyes were still shut. She slowly began to open her eyes, the crust that sealed them cracking and breaking off. The world around her was dark, with little light peeking in through gaps of the world above. When her eyes adjusted to the lack of light she took notice of her surroundings. Trees were everywhere as the sounds of birds and insects rang out in from the woods. She tried picking herself up, but her legs felt weak and she could barely push herself off the ground. She kept trying until, rather shakily, she was at to get on all fours. She felt like a filly trying to walk for the first time. As she stood she tried to remember her name, but nothing came to mind.

"What's my name? Why can't I remember anything."

She new that standing around and doing nothing wouldn't give her the answers she wanted. She took a step foward; and a sharp pain shot through her head. She placed her hoof to her head trying to ease the pain. Just as soon as it came, the pain disappeared from her mind replaced by something else.

"Lunar eclipse. My name...is Lunar eclipse. I can remember my name, but what am I doing here."

She looked around before once again stepping forward. Just as before a sudden pain emerged in her head followed by a memory, but not as intense as the first, nor were they as helpful. She received only fragments of memories from each step and soon the pain, as well as the memories, stopped. She kept walking forward through the dense woods until she found a clearing through the trees with a small pond located in its center. She walked over to the small source of water and peered into it. The water seemed clean enough to drink but she wasn't really thirsty , instead it was her reflection that had her attention. Her face was small with a white spiral pattern around her eyes meeting up between the two. Her coat for the most part was a midnight blue with more white patterns carving their way through her coat. All her legs had what looked like vines growing up them while the wings she possessed were outlined in the same white as the patterns on her face and legs. Her mane and tail also had a strip of white through them as well, with the majority of them being a dark purple. Her horn had no pattern on its length but shared the same color as the majority of her coat.

"What happened to my cutie mark" she asked to herself at the sight of her blank flank.

Eclipse would have put more thought into finding her answer if it weren't for a large rustle in the bushes around the clearing. Every muscle in her body spun her around almost as if on instinct and tensed waiting for an attack. She stood still for near 30 seconds before she started to move. She took off running as fast as she could through the trees and brush, trying to escape the thing that was now chasing her. She seemed to be faster than the creature after her, but it obviously new these woods far better than she did. After a while she could no longer hear the noises of the creature after her.

"Did it give up. Or is it waiting to set a trap"

She kept running after the thought, but did slow down some. Still no sounds other than those she made could be heard, but Eclipse remained on alert. As the day that she had awakened in slowly turned to night, her energy drain from earlier began to take its toll. She hadn't a clue as to just how long she'd been walking through the woods, but still there seemed to be no end in sight. Her eyes were getting heavy and she needed sleep. When she came across an isolated cave she felt her luck begin to rise. When she entered the dark cavern within seconds every muscle and fiber in her being collapsed to the floor.

"Why..am I...so...tired" the words echoing in the small cave between yawns.

In moments she was unconscious on the floor of the cave. At an unknown time of the night, a small group of ponies entered the cave. Eclipse awakened just enough to see the ponies enter the cave, but her mind and body were too far gone for her to take real notice or react. As a magical hue enveloped her form the unknown ponies began to bring her to an unknown location. While her captors carried her to the unknown, her mind began to wonder and flood with memories, thoughts, and nightmares of a world long forgotten.

"Mom. Mooom. Mom where are you" yelled the young alicorn into her mother's room.

"Eclipse I've told you a thousand times not to yell inside the castle. These old walls make just about everything echo." Said a tall dark alicorn of similar appearance coming out of a far room. "But once the new Castle is finished me, you, and auntie will be able to scream as much as we want. But that doesn't mean you have permission to do so. You'll have to learn to be a proper princess at some point."

"But mom, that means I have to dress up all the time, and not get to fight monsters like the guards do"

The tall alicorn picked up the smaller one with her hooves as she sat down.

"I know it sounds boring but I assure you it won't be as bad as you think. Besides, you'll always have your mommy by your side."

The tall alicorn then began to shower her daughter in kisses much to the little ones protest.

"Mom aghh stop"

"Your in no place to fight back Eclipse, so you might as well accept your fate."

The scene continued onwards, but began to fade, soon being replaced by a memory of a much darker tone.

She sat motionless on the burned ground, her body healing itself at an unnatural rate compared even to magic. Her attention towards the moon. It's normal empty appearance now being filled with the image of a mare. Her mother, or at least the monster that had taken control of her. A moment later a tall white alicorn landed nearby. Her normal pink mane now a vibrant mixture of colors.

"I...I'm sorry. I had no other choice"

Eclipse looked to the white alicorn tears in both their eyes. Without a word she stood and took off into the sky, leaving her aunt on the cold ground.

Once again the scene disappeared into nothing, and that is how it stayed. For how long she does not know. But when she woke up, the pain of a thousand years of loneliness and isolation began to re-emerge. Even if the world she is in now, is not the one she once knew. If it ever existed in the first place.
