"Sir, he has a report from Phillydelphia. Celestia's condition has taken a bad turn, and our time to make this potion has been halved." said the deep yellow-colored unicorn. He stepped over to a sky blue Pegasus, with a light grey mane. She stood there for a moment before reaching a conclusion to the dilemma. "In three days, we can have the test sample. If we send that over to the guys at Phillydelphia, it may work." He said, looking into a small vial being filled with a bubbling pink liquid. "But what is if doesn’t work, it could potentially kill the princess." said the unicorn, stepping to the Pegasus’s other side. "And if it does, then the Princess is saved, and Equestria wont plummet into disarray, and we are all enslaved to the Changelings." He said. His voice rose a bit, and he took the vial and placed in a small transport container. Looking up, a Pegasus was waiting in a flight suit made with aerodynamics in mind; the wearers face was angled in directions to streamline the wind to prevent friction or drag, as well as vanes on the legs to increase maneuverability. He took the case, and set it on the back of the suit, which fastened it together, practically inseparable. He walked to the take-off lane, and was set in a small carriage. There was a brief wait, and the system activated: The carriage launched forwards, down a 1500 meter long runway, and sent the Pegasus into the air, well over any speeds achievable by unsuited pegasi (save Rainbow Dash). His entire world shook, and he could hardly keep his head straight. At these speeds, the suit made a screeching whirr, piercing his eardrums even through the ear protection. After he adjusted his heading, it died down, and he was off to Phillydelphia. The two day trip gave him a one day margin of error, along with a tracking devices implanted in the case. Should he be captured, he can jettison the case, and an infiltrator can retrieve it and take it the rest of the way, if necessary.
~-Ponyville, one and a half days later-~
The suited pegasi was growing tired, and was on the lookout for any small towns where he may be able to take refuge for a couple hours. Scanning the ground, he saw what appeared to be a small settlement, with a large tree in the center of it all. He dove down and landed at the town limits. 'Close enough.' he thought, and read the sign that greeted him. 'Welcome to Pony Ville - Home to Sweet Apple Acres, and the Pegasi Weather Force' it read. 'Well, that’s a surprise, maybe I’ll run into a few friends here' he thought to himself, and walked down the dirt road. He was just getting into the town itself when an all too familiar voice spoke up from behind. "Oh, come on, Applejack. Why shouldn’t we while were here, and we both know that won’t be a long time." said an impatient voice, one that he remembered from... No, it couldn't be. Turning around, he instantly recognized the origin of said voice: A cyan Pegasus, with a brilliant rainbow mane. He approached the Pegasus casually. "Say, how have you been holding up in that special group I heard about?" He asked, getting Rainbow's attention. "Well, well, well, if it isn’t Thunder lane. Say, how’s that cough of yours?" she asked, raising an eyebrow "I told you, that was Blossom forth. Anyways, what are you doing here, some special assignment?" he asked, sitting down on the small brick wall beside him. "NO... Well, its a long story. But listen, we're spending one night here and then we're off to see Celestia, in Phillydelphia. You want to spend the night where we are?" she asked, looking at his suit. "Sure, actually. I needed to drop this potion off for her; it’s supposed to fix all her problems. But it was taken out a bit early, so there is a small chance that it makes the heart rate slow down even more, killing her..." he said, looking back to the case on his back. "Oh, well let's hope that doesn’t happen. Applejack, here, was about to take me to her farm for a good meal, I don’t think he’s would mind if you tagged along" she said, looking over to Applejack. "Not at all, partner. You just follow us, and you'll be so stuffed we’ll have to roll you back home. As a matter of fact, we should probably head out now, it’s just up the hill over yonder." she said, and raised a hoof to Sweet Apple Acres. "Oh, you’re the ones that make that amazing apple cider!" he said, finally recognizing the orange pony that had filled his cup of cider at that competition earlier that year. "Why, yes I am." she said, taking a small bow. "And it was a pleasure to serve you. Now, follow me and you'll taste what we make even better: Apple pies." she told him, and went off. Thunder lane’s and Rainbow's mouths started watering at the thought of a warm, delicious, fresh apple pie, and they made good time to the farm.
The dinner was big and hearty, and there was friendly chatter throughout it all, while the aroma of apples filled the entire house. Hours later, they all excused themselves, and took a hike through the Ever free forest, finally finding Voltages house buried deep in the middle of nowhere. "Well, it's about time you... three?" he asked, looking at their new companion. "Yeah, Voltage. This is Thunder lane, he's a damn good flier, ALMOST as good as Me." she boasted, looking over at Thunder lane, who let a small chuckle in response. "Pleased to meet you, Voltage, I'll be leaving tomorrow for Phillydelphia, need to bring Princess Celestia a potion that may or may not work. But it was this, or the potion isn’t completed in time, so this is out only chance we have." he explained. Voltage nodded, and seemed to be following it. "Okay, well you come on in and make yourself at home" he said, stepping aside to let them all in. "Fluttershy, this is Thunder lane. You may remember him from the Storm we had to brew up?" Dash asked her, and she looked up. "Oh, yes I do. You're one of the pegasi who didn’t laugh at me, like all the rest of those meanies..." she said, looking at him and smiling shyly. "I don’t like to pick on any pony, it just feels wrong." he said, and looked around. "Uhhhh... place to sleep, any pony?" he asked, looking at the three of them. "I think the couch is a free spot, if that’s okay." said Voltage, nodding off to the side. Thunder lane took his spot, as did every pony else, and they all drifted into the welcoming embrace of sleep.
