Full Metal Pony
The Jungle (Pt II)
Previous ChapterNext ChapterThe 6 woke up simultaneously, startled by the deafening roar and the crashing of armor. Twilight was the first to take action, using a telekinesis spell to pull Angel Kidd’s body to safety. "Fluttershy, make sure he is okay, and fix whatever is wrong." gently commanded Twilight. Fluttershy nodded and proceeded to take Angel's armor off to inspect for broken bones. "I COULD USE SOME BUCKING HELP HERE, IF IT ISN'T TOO MUCH!" screamed Neo, barley holding off the beast. Rarity was just drawing her sword and a bolt of rainbow flet past them all in impacted right on the lumbering behemoth, sending it flying into a nearby tree. Twilight was quick to put up a shield around them to keep the flying chunks of wood from lodging themselves into some pony’s body. When the dust cleared, it was Rainbow who had flew right into the side of the pony thing. Even though she was two-thirds smaller than the beast, she seemed to be towering over it. Neo just stood there, jaw agape. "While I am impressed, a pony thing of this size doesn’t go down that easily. SOMEPONY needs to check and make sure it is dead..." she explained, looking at the girls as if she was expecting one of them to just risk their lives on command. "I... uhhh.... I guess I could do it for ya." Applejack spoke up, a hint of worry in her voice. "Very well then, if you wish." Neo retorted, not sounding the least bit concerned for Applejack's safety. Approaching the beast, she noted a few things, for example the rough, bony skin, the flesh of a pony as well as a changeling. A dark green eye staring right at her. Realizing the beast was not dead, but watching her ominus approach, Applejack froze, stock-still. "What’s the hold up here, AJ?" asked Rainbow dash, impatiently. "Ooh! A stating contest! I bet Applejack has got this one in the bag!" Pinkie exclaimed, bouncing up and down with pure excitement. "Uhh, girls? We may have a problem here." Applejack whispered. "A problem as in what, darling?" Asked Rarity, putting jewel blade away. "A problem as in this... thing... isn't dead." She said cautiously, not to alert it. Twilight's horn began glowing, readying for an attack. The beast just lied there, oblivious to the figure sliding behind it. In one swift motion, Neo brought the dagger straight down into the ponything's thorat, sending a gush of blood spraying out and leaving a large gash. Should that not have done the trick, the serrated edges of the blade doubled its size upon yanking the dagger out. The beast rolled on its back, and scrambled to get onto its feet, but it was too late. The dark green fluid of life had filled its lungs, making it impossible to breathe, and the horrifying sounds died down within seconds.
Amazingly, Fluttershy had completely tuned out the beast and had all focus diverted to Angel's safety. Working very carefully, cutting around his violin cutie mark instead of through it to get to where she needed to be. As it turns out, while she didn't have the stomach for battle, she had no problems preforming emergency surgery to fix broken bones. The surgery was a long one, and Rainbow was the only one who could stand the sight of it all, but also took a small interest in it. "Well, he will be okay, eventually. I can't say how long it will take him to come back from consciousness, though." she said, dropping her head at the last part. "Fluttershy, it doesnt matter how long it takes if he makes it through." Twilight comforted her. "Well, he DOES have to actually come back, you know." piped Dash, in her natural, smart-flank way. Rarity and Twilight both shot her a look, and it was clearly taken. "I'm just gonna go now...." She said, and trotted over to Neo. "Hey Neo, whatcha doin’?" She asked. Looking over the beast, she saw large latches of hide torn out. "Well, as you are an able-bodied Pegasus, I figured it would be wise to have a scout. So this is armor, lightweight, but flexible enough for ease of movement in flight." he said, presenting a leather suit of armor to Dash. "Wow, thanks Neo!" She said, putting it on and launching herself in the air to test it out. Like she said, it was lightweight, but it was also aerodynamic, so she was going almost twice as fast in any maneuver she pulled herself through. Landing right in front of the camp fire, she proceeded to show the others. With this, Neo was satisfied, and with that, made her way to get some well-earned rest.
