Junior was already halfway down the street. He didn't realize he was being followed. Not once had the stalker made a peep. Then the trashcan fell over.
"Gah!" The stalkers voice sounded familiar. He fell out in the streets wounded. "Help, someone help!"
"Gardenout? I thought you moved out!" Junior stood there, shocked at his old friend.
"Abou- t that..-" Gardenout got cut off in pain, moaning and grabbing his bleeding leg. "I- ran... now go- get hel-p!"
Junior rushed to his house and grabbed the phone. He called for help, He didn't know what to do with his injured friend. "So.. you ran.. why?"
"I don't want to talk about that." Gardenout's smile faded like a game that didn't even last a week in the store. "Have you heard of that mystical vortex that appears at dawn? It's real! I saw it with my own eyes! I looked up, I saw a portal! I know where it is!" Gardenout had never been as happy as he was now.
"I don't believe in that... nonsense, Besides, that could have been a Pegasus." Junior was smiling at Gardenout like he was telling a little joke.
"Junior, they're doing a major search in a competition! There's a prize of one million dollar to whoever finds it first! Maybe we can get Sunshine and the others to help us in it!" Gardenout knew Junior needed the money. He'd just played a card that won him the game.
"I'm in..." Junior was ready, he needed the money. He needed everything he could get his hands on. "Tomorrow is when we get the others, sign up and make our plans." He wasn't just ready, he was determined.
