The warm night air blew leaves across the full moon, that hung in the sky. Down on the streets of Canterlot, a gray earth pony walked. She had a cello case on her back. She had just come back from a big concert at Canterlot hall.
She closed her eyes and continued walking. She couldn't believe how bad she screwed up. She couldn't believe she did that in front of thousands of people and Princess Luna as well.
She knew that eating before a huge concert was a mistake. It also didn't help that she order lamb chops which weren't cooked all the way, that led to Octavia vomiting her dinner, in front of the Princess.
After that Octavia ran out of the concert hall, and out onto the streets of downtown Canterlot.
She looked at the cello case on her back. She took it off and opened it up. There was her maple, and oak wood cello. She took it out. And then, she chucked it into the ocean.
She then chucked the case into the ocean as well. She sobbed as she watched the cello sink into the bottom of the ocean.
She walked along the streets for 5 minutes, until she decided to take a shortcut through the forest. She started walking through the forest before she heard weird sounds. She lifted her head to look around, but she didn't hear anything.
She started walking again when she heard the growling sounds again. It sounded animal like but too deep to be a dog. "Maybe it's a very large dog." Octavia thought. She then saw a shadow beneath her. It then started running after her. She screamed and started running. She could hear the beast behind her. She ran until she reached downtown Canterlot. She thought that would have stopped it, but it chased after her in the city.
She was breathing heavy and was sweating. She could hear the beast behind her, its huge paws thumping on the concrete sidewalk.
She felt hot breath on her neck and was pushed onto the pavement. The beast was on top of her. It's thick, razor-like claws dug into her skin, causing her to scream in agony. She looked and saw its gigantic mouth. It was filled with big, razor-sharp fangs. She tried her best to keep it from biting her, but it soon dug its fangs into her. She screamed as blood poured from the wound.
The beast continued scratching and biting her until Octavia saw a faint orange glow in the sky. It was coming to-day. The beast must have realized it too, because it looked at the sky, and dashed back into the forest.
Octavia laid there for while, staring at the pool of blood flowing around her. She then passed out as the sun came out.
Ponies mumbled questions to one another, as they stared down at Octavia. Octavia finally opened her eyes to see a gaggle of ponies surrounding her. She oddly enough didn't have the strength to get up.
She looked and saw that the sidewalk had stained blood on it, her blood probably. She finally got the strength to get up. She looked at her hooves, they were stained with her blood and had scratch marks and bite marks all over her.
"Maybe we should take you to a doctor." A mare with lilac hair said. Octavia simply nodded and allowed the mare to take her to the hospital.
At the doctor's office in Ponyville, Nurse Redheart was looking her over, she constantly had a weird look on her face as she looks her over.
When Octavia asked why she kept having that face, she said. "Well, I-I've never seen these bite marks before. They aren't anything we've ever seen here in Ponyville."
After they patched her up and sent her back home with some antibiotics, she stopped at the market to pick up something for Vinyl.
As soon as she walked in, Vinyl looked at the doorway.
"Oh, hey Octy. I was wondering where you were last night. Was a little lonely here without you telling me to turn down the television."
Vinyl then laughed loudly. "No seriously, where were ya last night?" Vinyl asked.
Octavia set down her groceries. And took a seat on the couch. "I uh, stayed in Canterlot after my concert." Octavia lied.
"OK, that explains one part of that. But why are you covered in bandages?" Vinyl questioned.
"Oh, I cut myself." Octavia didn't want Vinyl to know what had happened last night.
"All over your body? Come on Octy just tell me what i.." Vinyl started to say, but Octavia snapped. "Damn It Vinyl. I am tired, and I've had a long night, so I would like it if you just shut the hell up!" Octavia yelled.
"Ok, ok. Jesus. I just wanted to see if you were ok. " Vinyl said. "Look, I am fine, just leave me alone, to get some sleep," Octavia said. "In fact, I am going to bed. Please don't disturb me, or play any of you techno music." Octavia snapped.
Octavia went up to her room and shut the door. What had just happened? Why had she snapped at Vinyl like that? It was like something had just forced it out of her.
Octavia just ignored it. She assumed that she was in a weird mood or something. She went to her bed and laid down.
She couldn't sleep for some reason. She would lay there for hours and hours, but she couldn't sleep.
She got up and started pacing around the room. Suddenly the room started to spin. She started getting nauseous. She then collapsed onto her bed. Finally, the dizziness went away and she was able to fall into a peaceful sleep.
