This was my third weekend of pure ‘World of Equestria’, and I lead another unsuspecting player into the old ‘Level 99 Dragon’s Den’ where they ultimately died. Unlike most times that I do this, this one was special; because this time the other guy went head long. I typed with my fetlock [Wht… yu did’t wit?] He, or she, charged into the den yelling into the chat: “Bbbuuuttttooonnnn Sssssmmmmaaassshhh”, they are at fault here, not me… well not this time. After a few seconds the restrict on player death, which prevented them from sending messages, ended, and ‘K2’ dropped a message. [O… u rite…] I rubbed the my forehead, this was the decisive moment. [Du yu wnt tu hed tu thu dn agin?] If they replied with yes, then I could get them to be hit by the Dragon’s freeze beam, and loot them for all their stuff. I bet I could make a profit too, whoever this was, was only level seventy-three. I was the, slightly, higher level, though, only by four. [Oke.] This should be the quickest catch, and the greatest for profit. K2 teleported to me, since we were in a party they were able to do that, otherwise they would have to make the ten minute walk all the way from the nearest respawn point. We made our way cautiously into the cave, technically it was a den, but many of the high level players, as well as some low level as well, all called it a cave. The low levels were just copying to make themselves seem important, but really, we all knew they weren’t. I am sure they know it as well. [Alrite K… wit untl I sa go.] [Oke.] I let out a small laugh, perhaps it was a little on the manic side, but no one could blame me. Some loud music began to shake my ceiling. “Ugh,” I groaned. The bad part about living in a college dorm. The music was the same as it always was. I believe that it was a cello as the focus with an occasional kick-drum, and a piano; each day my roommate would play the music doing Celestia knows what. The entire time I have been here I have only had a grand total of two interactions with her. The first time I don’t think I could ever forget… and the second I have a hard time remembering all the details. It was something along the lines of meeting in the college’s cafeteria, where she was being offered some hard cider by some, less than reputable, faculty members. She declined before walking away, or something like that. I saw a message pop up, it wasn’t from K2, no it was a private message; also known as a PM, or instant message… it all depends on who you ask. I selected it allowing it to open. [Hey, I’m online now. Do you want to invite me?] Great… ‘Espi’ is online. He, or she, is the top player on the game. The only pony to reach level ninety-nine, and the what was illusive ‘Level ???’. I typed away furiously with my fetlocks. [Nu Im gud… litle buzy.] “No, no, no,” if Espi gets involved then the entire plan will crumple. [I see. You took some unsuspecting player to the Dragon’s cave again. Right?] They saw through me immediately. I gulped tapping my response as quickly as my hooves would allow. [I dnt nw wht yu r tlkn abut.] I wiped the sweat forming around my brows. A response came with seconds. [Yes you do. Who is it this time? A level 40, or perhaps a level 30?] Ha, they didn’t know how big of a catch I could get! [Sumtin lik tht.] Oh, right… I pulled open the chat window with k2. [Sry… I redy.] His character used the gesture ‘Nod’, I’m sure you can figure out the implications of such a mechanic. [Oke.] I was using a double enchanted bow of +4; by what we, K2 and I, set up earlier I would attack from the rear while they charged the beast. [Go.] I targeted the sleeping dragon, my auto attack sent an arrow piercing into its digital scale. A small ‘4866 Damage’ popped up next to the creature, dissipating shortly after. K2 galloped right at the Dragon, their character race was Earth Pony. The different races all have their advantages, and disadvantages. Earth Pony for example has a bonus when it came to physical attacks, defense, and earth elemental magic damage. Unicorns have a bonus in general magic damage, and general magic defense. But the trade-off is that Unicorns take more physical damage, and Earth Ponies more magic damage, though for Earth Ponies they also have a higher defense against elemental damage. And Pegasi are basically the rogue race, they hit fast and light. I’ve not played as them, so I don’t really know very much about them. It took a good deal of four minutes for the Dragon to frenzy, which means that it gains a buff to damage output, at the cost of damage intake. It also means that it will switch from fire, and swiping attacks to ice, fire, swiping, and crushing attacks. Once K2 was frozen I would only have a good few seconds to snatch all of their stuff, and run. Otherwise the Dragons aggro will switch to me, and I wasn’t the class type to be taking hits from the Dragon. A small blue mist like particle effect started to drool out from the creaks of the Dragons great maw. This indicated the type of breath attack it would use. The Dragon backed its head up in-taking virtual air… I assume. Snapping its head back down great waves of fire erupted throughout the cave. I barely had time to jump behind a boulder to take cover. One hit from that fire attack and I would be a goner. By the time I peeked again: I saw that K2 took the full brunt of the attack, and then got smashed from the Dragon’s massive talons. “Ahh, fu--”
