"You want some fries with that?," Squid girl asked the customer before finishing the order and looking to Chizuru and saying " I need two plates of shrimp and rice here please,"
Chizuru nodded at Squid girls request and began on the order. Squid girl sat down in a chair and sighed. It was a cloudy day, and business was slow at the Lemon beach house. She looked longingly at the ocean, her home. A slight tear escaped from her eye as she looked at her home.
"Order ready," Chizuru said. Squid girl quickly wiped away the tear and grabbed the order and took it to the customer.
"Hey Chizuru I was hoping I could leave early to go shopping, is that okay?" Eiko asked.
"That would be fine since today is slow," Chizuru said.
"Awesome hey squid girl you want to come shopping with me?" Eiko asked.
"Sure why the gill not," Squid girl said hoping it would take her mind off of things.
"Awesome lets go!" Eiko said, and the two left for the store.
"What do you want to buy while we are there?" Squid girl asked
"Oh, I don't know, maybe some chips and a soda, and let me guess you want some shrimp?" Eiko said.
"How did you know?" squid girl asked.
"You eat it all the time at the beach house plus you're a squid remember?" Eiko said.
"Oh, right," Squid girl said.
The two kept talking, when Eiko noticed something out of the corner of her eye. She thought she saw something in a blue jacket
"Eiko what's wrong?" Squid girl asked.
"I think I see something down there, let's take a look," Eiko said.
The two then walked down the alley and saw nothing at all, until they heard somebody screaming and looked up, and saw somebody running at them with a knife. Squid girl reacted quickly and used her tentacles to get the knife out of his hand. WHACK and it was out of his hands and in her tentacles. He looked surprised then turned the other way and then ran. Squid girl chased after him, and she had to admit that he was hard for her to catch, but in the end it ended up with him being wrapped and held in the air by her tentacles.
"Hey whats the big idea bub, how would you like it if I wanted to stab you?!" Squid girl said.
"Go ahead kill me," he said grimly.
Squid girl took this as a surprise, but wasn't going to pass up a chance to kill a human.
"Alright here you go," she said , and was about to stab him when
"SQUID GIRL STOP!!" Squid girl looked back and saw Eiko running up.
"Hey he asked for it," squid girl said.
"Why would you want to die?" Eiko asked.
"Because 'sniff' Because I'm a failure, I failed everybody I love," He said with tears running down his cheeks.
"Squid Girl put him down," Eiko said
'What," Squid girl said.
"I said put him down," Eiko repeated.
Squid girl then put him down "Hey whats your name, kid?" Eiko asked.
"James, James Booth," He said.
"Alright kid were do you live?" Eiko asked.
"Flower Mound Texas," James replied with.
"What, You live there!," Eiko said.
"Where is this place Eiko?" Squid girl asked.
"Flower mound Texas is in the U.S.A. One of the worlds most powerful countries, and halfway across the globe," Eiko said and then asked James " Where are your parents?"
"Dead" James said.
"So your an" Eiko was about to say but was cut off by James saying "yes, and please don't mention it,"
"Mind telling me why a boy who lives in the U.S makes it all the way to Japan," Eiko said.
