Fluttershy was invited to Canterlot by Princess Celestia so that she could meet and help out with some of the royal pets. binky the baboon, fillomeena the pheonix, gary the gator, and fleck. fleck was a humming bird.

fluttershy had been in Canterlot for a few days now, and was getting used to the scenery. taking care of the pets was a fairly easy job, as there were only four here, compared to her 57 at home in ponyville. she wondered how twilight felt with taking care of all the pets back home. but then again, rainbow dash always came when twilight needed help. something about twilight being twenty percent cooler than she used to be.

it was fluttershy's final day in canterlot. she'd be going home later, and for this reason, she was excited. yes, she would miss her new animal friends, but she missed the others of the mane six way more.

she finished feeding fillomeena and went to princess celestia to report her work.

"h-hello? princess?" she called in her quiet, tired voice.

princess celestia poked her head out of a little corner where she was reading the latest edition of Clopsmopolitan. she quickly shoved the magazine out of view and smiled, saying, "good evening fluttershy! i take it your going to leave now. before you do, i have something for you."

fluttershy was excited. what present could celestia give to her? celestia looked at fluttershy and said, "any of those animals you took care of... you may have one of them.

fluttershy squealed in excitement and said I choose fleck!
