Darkness Risingby Puppens101ChaptersChapter 1. AftermathChapter 4: Battles leave woundsChapter 2. Shadows CreepingChapter 5: A New BeginningChapter 1. AftermathTwilight flapped her wings harder than she had ever as she carried Sombra through the blizzard. In the distance, she could hear Luna's faint screams of NOOOOO! However, that was the least of her problems right now. Her mentor, her mother figure, had hunted her down and killed her love. "She will pay dearly for her crimes." Twilight whispered to herself, the pure rage she felt giving her more strength by the second. She looked back at Sombra's battered body. He was dead, but she still felt his presence. Twilight turned her attention to the task at hand, getting Sombra back. She scanned the desolate land before her, only plains to the left and forest to the right. Twilight soared down to the ground like a angle coming down from Horsehaven. The cold snow was far from a pleasant feel to the queen. Her shoes had fallen off when fleeing the castle. That'd have to wait though, she and Sombra needed shelter from the storm. Knowing better that she didn't have much time Twilight, whilst carrying Sombra on her back ran to the forest. She hoped to find a cave or at least some sort of shelter. Trudging threw the deepening snow, twilight made her way to the safety of the forest. Scanning her surroundings Twilight found nothing useful to her, only animal tracks. "Animal tracks!" Twilight squeaked happily. Remembering she had gone through a book on all the animals in the forested areas while at the castle. This was the time to see how useful it would come in handy. Twilight examined the prints carefully; one big pad with five smaller pads with claws. She easily guessed it to be a bear, and where there's a bear theirs a cave. Twilight raced through the forest, following the bears tracks. A while later... Twilight came to a skidding stop. Their it was, in all its glory, the cave. The weather hadn't treated then nicely since they abandoned the castle, and they couldn't go back. So this was gonna have to do. However, Twilight, was a bit hesitant. If they went in there, there could be worse things then just the bear...but on the otherhoof she and Sombra needed shelter from this storm. "Go inside, Twilight. It'll be fine." a familiar voice said to her. Twilight jumped a the voice. "Don't be afraid...It's Me." The voice talked. "S-Sombra?" Twilight asked, looking back at her deceased husband. "Yes, I'm here. My body may be lifeless right now, but my spirits is as strong as ever thx to you." Sombra spirt said "Thanks to me? How?" Twilight asked, her purple hair blowing fiercely in the howling wind. "I'll explain once we get inside." Sombra stated. Twilight, not wanting to disappoint her love, walked carefully inside the cave. Once inside, Twilight lit up her horn as a light source. She stepped lightly but calmly. The sound of water dripping of the stalactites on the caves ceiling. It was quite eyrie, but otherwise warm, quite and safe... "Rahhw!" the sound came from a bear two ponies high that was standing in front of Twilight. Showing off its sharp teeth and claws. "Spoke to soon..." Twilight thought as she back up. She wasn't strong enough to take on a bear this large, the battle with the sisters had left her barley able to make the simplest of spells. "Use your dark magic Twilight." Sombra called from her mind. "I-i can't I'm to weak..." Twilight spoke softly flattening her ears as the bear swung its giant black paw at her. Twilight ducked then jumped to the side of the bear. "Don't worry. I'll help you..." Sombra exclaimed. "Use your anger and frustration, it'll fuel you." Twilight closed her eyes to concentrate on her anger and all her frustration's. She then remembered Celestia and Luna finishing off Sombra. Twilight opened her eyes, them completely filled with green with purple smoke. Twilight raised her wings and shot a beam of dark magic at the bear. The bear let out on last might rawr before crashing into the side of the cave. Its blood splattering on the wall and floor. Twilight shook her head as the mist in her eyes cleared. She laid Sombra on the ground and stared at him. His body was as still as a stone. A tear rolled down twilights face as she bent her head down to her lover. If only she was stronger, she could off protected him. "Oh Sombra...if only I was stronger." Twilight cried as she hugged tightly onto his body. "I'm still here, and I will join you again soon." "H-how?" Twilight asked, using her magic to summon a campfire. She levitated it close to Sombra's body...to keep it warm. "Use the creation spell on my body. Because my spirit is still here, you can use it on me and I can return to my body." Sombra explained. "I-i hope your right..."Twilight said shakily. She planted a kiss on Sombra's head and back up. "You ready?" She asked. "Of course I'm ready." Sombra replied. Twilight, using what anger left used it summon the creation spell. The air around them circled fiercely as Twilight aimed her magic at Sombra's body. She held the spell for a good minute or two and collapsed on the ground. She was exhausted and need to rest. However, to her that wasn't an option. She crawled over to Sombra, watching for any signs of life. "S-sombra?" Twilight called. Nothing "S-sombra?" She called again. Nothing still. "P-please...I-i can't do this without you!" Twilight cried closing her eyes as she sat in the dark, her head hung down in defeat. She opened her eyes when she felt her chin being raised up. There he was, His dark pelt and hair, with his unmistakable eyes and fanged smile. King Sombra. Sombra brought her muzzle to his as they embraced in deep kiss. Both tongues meeting as they danced around each other. Twilight moaned happily into her lovers mouth. "I've missed your touch my queen." Sombra spoke breaking the kiss. Twilight blushed under her kings statement, snuggling closely into his chest as he held her close. "I-i've missed you so so much!" Twilight said softly, tears streaming down her face. "I'm sorry, I left you...but, I'm here now and I'm gonna make sure that you are safe." Sombra responded whilst playing with Twilights mane. Twilight held on tightly to Sombra, finding comfort easily. Sombra accepted it lovingly and held onto his wife, cooing into her ear with sweet words of promise. The fire in the background giving light and warm to the two lovers as the cuddled each other. "We should rest. We're gonna need our strength if we are to conquer all of Equestria." he spoke softly. Twilight nodded approvingly and let go of Sombra, her tears seeming to disappear like the sun being chased away from the sky by the moon. Sombra stood up first and walked over near the crackling fire. Twilight followed swiftly and snuggled closely to Sombra, as all she wanted was to feel him and his touch. Resting her head next on Sombra's neck, Twilight seemed to fall into the real of dreams quickly. Sombra looked down at his sleeping wife. Sure she was a bit smaller than him, but she made up for it with confidence, determination, skill, and pure beauty. That sleek dark purple fur that was nestled next to him and fit her body well. Those beautiful purple eyes that easily melted his heart every time he peered into them. Her soft dark purple mane and tail that covered her gorgeous face an body. He loved her and every part of her as he watched her chest rise and fall gently. "I love you my sweet Twilight. I promise that I'll protect, and love you...that WE'LL conquer Equestria...together..."Sombra whispered softly as he wrapped his tail around twilight. He rested his head next to Twilights and let his eyes shut as he soon joined Twilight in the realm blissful sleep. Princess Celestia looked at the aftermath after the fight with Sombra and Twilight. "Twilight" Celestia began "I-I was to late to stop Sombra from corrupting you. I failed you...I-I..." she said gently as she let her tears fall freely. Luna walked over to her sister, a sorrowful expression across her face. Twilight was like a daughter to Celestia...and Luna knew what that must have feel like. After all, she had turned into Nightmare Moon, an the way her sister described her emptiness without her by her side....all she could do was give her sister a hug and hope to help heal her ruptured heart. "It's gonna be okay Celestia. We stopped Sombra now we just have to get Twilight back...I can assure you of that she will return to you." Luna declared wrapping her wing around Celestia's battered body. Celestia winced in pain as the two walked to a chariot that was waiting to take them to Ponyville. How was she gonna convey the news to Twilights friends that she was on Sombra's side and is corrupted. She didn't know, but all she did know was Sombra was dead. As the two sisters walked to their chariot, their remaining guards bowed to them. Celestia viewed their heavy loses. Some of their guards were already covering and carrying their dead away. Celestia and Luna made their way over to their chariot, Luna's bat ponies taking the reins from the tired Pegasus's that brought it here. Using her magic, Luna opened the door and guided her sister in. Celestia rested her flank down on the cushioned seating of the chariot, Luna still holding onto her tightly. "Guards takes us back to Canterlot." Luna ordered to her bat ponies. Celestia looked over at her younger sister, her expression grim. "What is wrong sister?" she asked gently. A tear rolled down Celestia's face as she stared at Luna. "N-no. Take us to Ponyville." Celestia ordered to the bat ponies as they took off. Luna looked up at Celestia with a bewildered expression resting on her face. "Ponyville? You need treatment!" Luna retorted. "Twilights friends need to know what has happened...and keeping the truth from them isn't going to help." Celestia suggested, her voice as calm as a mothers speaking to her child. Another tear streamed down the rulers cheek as she thought about Twilight. She wasn't able to save her...she and Luna were able to kill Sombra sure...but that mare wasn't Twilight anymore...any trace of her was gone. Not noticing, Luna had given her a comforting hug. She stared down at Luna with gentle loving eyes. "We'll get her back...s-"Luna began but was cut off by Celestia's harsh words. "L-luna! How can you say something like that...you saw the way she acted...she wasn't there...she was gone! I couldn't save her! What makes you think we still have a chance at saving her!" She altercated at Luna, causing her to flinch. Luna's gaze strayed from Celestia's stare. Celesta watched her sister's bodily expressions and sighed. "L-luna...im sorry. I'm just not..." she stuttered, trying to fight the fresh tears water falling down her face. Luna brought her sister into a hug, gently rocking her in her arms. "It's not thy fault, dear sister." Luna responded softly, calming Celestia down. "At least Sombra is...well..." she began, but soon turned into nothing but a soft murmur as she tried to find the right words. Nevertheless, no words could describe or sooth a aching heart in this situation. What would you even do if you were in this situation? She'd have to think upon this subject later, they were overhead of Ponyville. The two celestial watched silently as the landed in front of Twilights treehouse. Celestia, trying to put on a more collected and determined face, wiped away her tears. The two bat ponies that had escorted them here took off their reins and opened the doors. Luna helped Celestia up, trying to make her as comfortable as possible. The two walked gracefully out of the chariot and to the door. Celestia, being led to the door of Twilights treehouse, walked alongside Luna. She felt bad for her sister to help her, after all, Luna had been hurt much worse then her, in her opinion. Celestia wasn't ready to walk into the treehouse, where Twilight's friends were waiting, injured. Celestia took a deep breath before the entered, prepping herself to explain what happened to Twilights friends. She wasn't very stable, and this news would more than likely make it worse for Twilights friends. However, they needed to know, they couldn't be kept in the dark...."Are you ready, sister?" Luna asked ready to open the door. Celestia could only nod with an uneasy grin to Luna. They could hear the sound of ponies inside, quickly becoming quiet as the door opened. And there stood all Twilights friends, even spike, who was holding onto Rarity for comfort. Celestia looked a them with a soft smile before she and Luna entered the treehouse together. Only the silence of the Night and room could tell time as Celestia began to explain what happened. Author's Note Just want to say, I hope you guys like this and that IM NOT Soothing Stones! I'm sure u know what I mean...;-; Chapter 4: Battles leave woundsChapter 3. Over The Hills Of Snow Twilight stared out of the cave that she and Sombra had been residing in. Sombra had conjured up some haycakes with a chocolate strawberry on the side, which were siting nicely in her stomach. She hadn't realized how hungry she was until she and Sombra had started chatting and her stomach had rudely interrupted them. Sombra was kind enough to make breakfast. They had to head out soon...it was to risky to stay in that one location. They decided to head out as soon as they both finished. Twilight was gonna miss this cave, it was roomy and cozy...well, as cozy as a cave could get. ''Are you okay my dear?'' Sombra asked as he strolled toward her. Twilight nodded her head as she stared out the cave. Her mind was elsewhere. How where they supposed to take over Equestria with Celestia hunting her down like this? It wasn't gonna be easy, but she knew that she and Sombra were gonna accomplish this almost impossible task ahead of them. She was more then determined to conquer Equestria with Sombra. Sombra trotted over an planted kiss on Twilights cheek. Twilight whipped her head around, their muzzles touching. Twilight blushed a bright pink, eyes locked with Sombra's. ''You're obviously bothered by something my queen.'' He remarked. Twilight sat silently. It really was nothing he had to worry about. ''I'm just worried what's gonna happen to us is all.'' she responded to him. Taken aback, Sombra walked toward the entrance of the cave. He had no intention of letting any harm come to her and he was gonna keep that promise. ''The snow isn't TOO deep.'' he replied, he shook snow off his armor plate. Twilight joined him in the snow only to jump back in surprise at how cold it was. ''NOT deep but COLD!'' she replied to him as she shot him a glance. He shrugged as he gave her an innocent smirk as he waited or Twilight to join him in the snow. ''I'm gonna get you for that later!'' Twilight exclaimed, her tone softer much Sombra's to delight. ''I'd like to see you try.'' He stated as he raced out into the snow. ''Catch me I you can, Sparkle butt!'' he teased. Twilight raced after him; the two running playfully in the snow. A Couple hours later Twilight and Sombra had made it far from the cave they were in. It was colder now, and Twilight was having a hard time keeping up with Sombra. He was trekking through the snow as if it was nothing and was able to keep a constant speed. They were in the middle of a snowstorm for Irene's sake. They had been walking for hours on end and Twilight was beyond tired. She watched Sombra through the flurry of snow as he trotted ahead, constantly looking from side to side. She wondered what he was looing for; he did look tense after all. Twilight then thought of a funny idea to help Sombra ''chill out"; even if it was cold. Using her magic, Twilight engulfed a hooful of snow in her magic. It soon took the form of a snowball and she held it in the air. ''H-hey Sombra?'' Twilight called to Sombra. He turned around and Twilight threw the snowball at him with as much force as she could. He stared at her puzzled through the snow piled on his face. Twilight laughed at his reaction and at how accurate her aim was. Sombra slightly smiled at her, knowing her intentions were pure...just like her. He walked toward Twilight as she continued to laugh, wiping of the snow. Standing in front of her, he waited for her to settle down. She did and as she wiped away a tear Sombra (get yourselves mentally prepared shippers. You ready?) nuzzled her cheek (XD why did you trust me? Especially when they're in the open. In a snowstorm? Nah). "I guess you got me back." He stated. Twilight blushed a bit as a frigid wind blew past. Twilight shivered viciously. Sombra, seeing her shake like that, quickly grabbed his cape and wrapped Twilight in it protectively. As he wrapped her in it he realized just how cold she was. She'd die if he couldn't get her to someplace warm, and soon. Twilight fell onto his shoulders. "I'll carry you. Where not far." Sombra whispered lovingly into her ear. Using his magic, he levitated her onto his back and pushed threw the storm. "Where are we going?" Twilight chiefly inquired, pressing herself closer to Sombra. How he was so warm was a mystery to her. "Im bringing you somewhere safe and warm. I need to get you out of this weather." He replied. Twilight wrapped her hooves around his neck and nuzzled her muzzle into his mane. Twilight trusted him. He'd find someplace for them...at least she hoped. Meanwhile the guards that had been stationed at Sombra's castle were on a special mission from Princess Luna. They were in search of Princess Twilight. Luna wanted her captured alive; she had the royal guard under strict orders to bring her back as unharmed as they could. And the guards were gonna do just that. They had been trudging through the snow for hours. They had discovered the cave Twilight had been in and were following her tracks. However, they were confused to why their were two different sets of tracks going in the same direction; but it was a clue as to where to start. The snowstorm had begun and it was hard for the 3 guards to walk or even see. The captain of the group, a tall brown pegasus stallion with navy blue hair. A silver blood-stained sword as his choice weapon hung on his belt. His golden armor scratched with scars and dried blood from many battles. The next one was a greyish-tan unicorn stallion with black hair. A sharp sword attached to his side. The last one, a very young earth pony colt with Indigo fur and a black mane w/ white streaks. His choice weapon a shield w/Celestia's symbol and sword. Thought very young, he had joined this job so he could help stop Twilight...even if it killed him... "What do you think about this situation with the princess Taz? You to Maverick." The greyish stallion asked. "She's nice and I was trained by her brother. But now...idk. Though I wanted to know what that snake did to deceive her like that. Princess Twilight is smart so he must have had to do something sinester to get to her." Taz huffed, the young colts mane blowing fiercely in the arctic winds. "How about you Maverick?" "I really didn't know her just heard stories of all of her good deeds." Maverick, the greyish stallion, answered back. His gaze drifted over to Taz, who's face held much confusion. "What's wrong Taz?" Maverick questioned. The small colt stayed quite. "Speak!" The captain stated sternly. Maverick stared at the captain unapprovingly. The captain ignored this gesture. "That! In the distance!" Taz asked, his voice trembling with fear as he pointed his hoof at a large figure moving through the snow; being blurred because of the blizzard. Maverick and the captain looked at the figure and at each other. "Approach cautiously!" He called to them. "Yes sir!" Taz responded proudly to his captain. "Yes Nimble." Maverick said. The captain whipped around and started Maverick square in the eyes. "I am your captain. Call me by my ranking name. Captain. Fucking. Flash." He scorned, his words hitting Maverick like many hooves surrounding him in a cold embrace. The captain walked away. "But...........your my brother." Maverick mumbled underneath his breath. Maverick shared a quick glance with Taz and headed after their captain. The trio trudged through the snowstorm and finally got a better view of the figure. Captain Flash stopped dead in his tracks. "Dear Celestia." Captain Flash stated. "Draw your weapons and prepare for battle." He growled to them. The two quickly drawing their weapons and standing strong. "What is it?" Taz asked. "Its some REALLY tall stallion? He could be hostile so be prepared!" Captain Flash replied. As they approached the figure, the snow calmed. They stood silently for a moment before charging forward, quickly advancing on the enemy. When they emerged all they were greeted with was a large pile of snow. "What the-?" Flash whispered. "Looking for us?" A dark voice spoke. The stallions whipped around to see a dark stallion. "Sombra!" Taz yelped. Maverick stood his ground and started into Sombra's eyes. "Don't forget the more then likely reason your out here." A feminine voice. Flash eyed at the source. His eyes sparked with determination as he started at a dark purple mare. "Finally found you." Flash growled. Twilight eyed the captain in front of her. As the stallions were busy, deep in thought trying to plan their attack, they hadn't noticed Sombra viciously starting them down. His horn lighting up with magic as he began to cook up a spell. Maverick was the only one to notice as Sombra aimed it at Flash. Upon instinct he jumped in front of his brother and Taz. Everything seemed to slow in that moment. He closed his eyes knowing his sacrifice would at least give them a chance. I felt like hours until the magic came in contact with his side. He felt searing pain as the blast penetrated his armor and into his skin. He soon felt the cold earth underneath him as his body hit the ground. He could hear the horrified gasp of Flash and Taz. But only by the smallest bit. He couldn't more.....he couldn't hear.....he couldn't see.....he couldn't breath........he drew no breath as his eyes drifted shut..... To be continued...... Author's Note Hope you enjoyed! Chapter 2. Shadows CreepingTwilight woke with a stir as she realized she was not in the dark castle that sheltered her from the harsh outside, but to a small cave she had found. She moved her soar neck to look around, but was halted when she felt a warm breeze landing softly on her purple fur. She lifted her gaze slowly, but relaxed as she saw Sombra sleeping soundly next to her. A soft smile spread across her face as she watched him chest rise and fall. Twilight chuckled to herself before trying to get up. Only to no veil as she was in a tight embrace with Sombra. A soft blush escalated across her muzzle. She sighted heavily before resting her head on Sombra's hooves. Twilights eyes softly closed once again. A few hours later... Twilight awoke again to the uncomfortable ground and bleak cave. Her eye's narrowed at the fire, which had been reduced to ash. The remains drifting along the ground. She rubbed her eyes with her hoof, before standing up and looking around. Her vision was blurry at first, but adjusted as she blinked; sleep faintly present in her eyes. "Morning my little raven." Sombra cooed from behind. Twilight smiled as she turned and watched Sombra walk over to her. "Morning." Twilight cooed back, resting her head on Sombra's neck. Sombra returned the gesture. "What's our next plan of action?" Twilight murmured into his ear softly, as if somepony was going to overhear her. Sombra pulled away slowly, staring deep into Twilight's curious eyes. "Well first, we need a place of operation. We can't stay here. We need to keep moving, or the royal guard....." Sombra spoke, but trailed off into nothing but a whisper. Twilight's eyes narrowed into slits at the mention of the royal guard. Ohhh, when she'd get her hooves on them! She'd make them pay, especially if she met that guard that escaped from their castle....ohhh and Celestia! She couldn't wait to make her suffer. Suffering will be her teacher.... It was high afternoon in Canterlot, where a busy and frustrated princess ambled around her room. Princess Celestia had been stuck in her room ever since she and Luna had returned from Ponyville. Her devastating conversation with Twilight's friends, the other Element Barres, had really worked her up. She could still hear her conversation with them in her head. They cared about Twilight so much... Flashback! "Twilight!?" Spike had called racing toward the door as it opened, but froze as Celestia and Luna entered. Their faces were grim, to everyponies dismay. Celestia casted Luna a quick look, to which Luna could only dip her head in response. Celestia took a deep breath, before speaking. Pinkie Pie, Rainbow Dash, Rarity, Applejack, and Fluttershy had gathered around, waiting for any good news. "D-did y-you get Twilight b-back?" Fluttershy rasped as she tried to stay calm long enough for Celestia or Luna to say SOMETHING. "I-im sorry." Celestia replied in a mellow tone. ''W-we didn't make it in time..." she continued. Loud respires came from the group of mares. Fluttershy crouched into a small ball and began to hyperventilate rapidly. Pinkie Pie, who was usually her happy, bouncy self, was now as quite as the air itself. She solemnly trotted over to Flutttershy and wrapped hoof around her; pulling her into a tight hug. Rainbow dash just stared wide eyed while Applejack held a distressed face while holding her hat close to her chest. Spike held on tight to Rarities leg and cried in her fur. Usually the fashionista would try to keep her fur clean, but this was a...special occasion to where she could only hold onto him. Celestia watched the girls hug each other and cry softy. "When I get my hooves on Sombra...Oho...I'm gonna snap his horn off and shove it in his heart so he KNOWS what true suffering is!'' Fluttershy said, breaking the silence. Everypony took a step back from the pegasus. ''OKAY....Fluttershy...you need sleep...''Rainbowdash replied. The usually quiet and peaceful pegasus shrank down into a ball and stayed put. ''What DID happen?'' Rarity asked raising her head. Celestia and Luna shared a glance before finally coming clean. ''Gather around my little ponies...'' Princess Celestia spoke. The mane 5 gathered around and listened. Spike sat hugged Rarity's leg as she held onto him. Celestia and Luna sat down as Celestia began telling them the events. From what Celestia saw...there was so much pain, terror, confusion, anger, and disgust. She got up with a sight and stared at the girls as she finished. ''So, what's our next course of action!'' Fluttershy inquired menacingly. Everypony turned to her, eyes wide with fear. ''Well, for now, you are going to help the citizens of Ponyville. They'll need protection.'' Celestia responded. ''But without Twilight the Elements of Harmony won't work!'' Pinkie Pie said. The girls all nodded and stared at the alicorns. ''We'll be leaving royal guard members here to help guard.'' Luna responded, to which Celestia smiled at her sisters quick thinking. Rainbowdash stepped forward finally. ''Whoa, whoa! That's basically labeling Twilight as a dangerous enemy that we should kill on sight!'' She spoke clearly so everypony could hear. Luna exchanged a glance toward Celestia, which she gave Luna a scowl. ''You don't think Twilight can still be turned back to our side do you sister?'' Luna asked. ''Of course I think that! She's probably confused and angry is all, and we have to help her back on the right path.'' She replied. The girls nodded in agreement with Celestia. Even thought Twi was evil, they would do everything in their power to help her. She was their friend after all. ''Then its settled, we will help Twilight and get her back.'' Luna sighed, still thinking it was hopeless. The two Alicorns turned and left after saying farewell. The two were flown back to the castle where Celestia had gotten medical help and Luna took up her shift in the night. Flashback Ends! Before he knew it, his brother was lying dead a few inches away from them. He could feel tears streaming down his face as he felt his hooves lead him to his brother. Taz followed quickly. When he reached him, his breath was no more. "No..............." He gasped. He let his head hang low and whispered into his brothers ear "I'm sorry! Please wake up!" But his brother didn't stir. Flash suddenly felt a new emotion grasp him. Pure rage was all he felt. He turned on Twilight and Sombra and drew his sword. "YOU'RE GOING TO PAY DEARLY! I'LL DELIVER YOUR HEADS ON STAKES TO CELESTIA!" He screamed. "I doubt that." Sombra growled, standing in front of Twilight protectively. Flash rushed toward Sombra, sword drawn. Sombra did the same and rushed him. Taz followed Flash's lead and attacked Twilight. Quickly she summoned a sword and met him. Meanwhile, Sombra was easily overpowering Flash. In some cases anger helped in fighting but in Flash's case it didn't. He was sloppy. Sombra sliced at him, making him lose his sword. Flash didn't even have enough time to react as Sombra punched him. His vision was blurry as he felt the world around him to fade. Sombra quickly turned his attention to the young pony fighting Twilight. A she held him, Sombra could see she was tiring. The cold was getting to her he realized. Quickly, Sombra came up from behind him and knocked him out. "Heh, nice job-" Twilight said before beginning to fall over. Sombra raced to her side, ad holding her. She was freezing! Sombra quickly levitated her onto his back. He looked at the guards and sighted. "I have to bring you with me. Can't let Celestia know about our whereabouts." He mumbled. He tied the two living guards together with some rope. Before leaving however, he lit the dead guards body on fire to dispose of the evidence. Quickly, Sombra raced forth into the snow as he dragged the two guards.
Chapter 1. AftermathTwilight flapped her wings harder than she had ever as she carried Sombra through the blizzard. In the distance, she could hear Luna's faint screams of NOOOOO! However, that was the least of her problems right now. Her mentor, her mother figure, had hunted her down and killed her love. "She will pay dearly for her crimes." That'd have to wait though, she and Sombra needed shelter from the storm. Knowing better that she didn't have much time Twilight, whilst carrying Sombra on her back ran to the forest. Scanning her surroundings Twilight found nothing useful to her, only animal tracks. "Animal tracks!" Twilight squeaked happily. Remembering she had gone through a book on all the animals in the forested areas while at the castle. This was the time to see how useful it would come in handy. Chapter 4: Battles leave woundsChapter 3.
''Oh Twilight...we'll save you from the creeping shadows...before they pull you under forever...'' Celestia said. ''....I promise...'' Author's Note This took SO long to type. The next chapters should and will be longer. <3 Chapter 4: Battles leave wounds Flash watched as his brother jumped in front of him and Taz. It was all a blur.
