Chapter 4: Battles leave wounds

Flash watched as his brother jumped in front of him and Taz. It was all a blur. Before he knew it, his brother was lying dead a few inches away from them. He could feel tears streaming down his face as he felt his hooves lead him to his brother. Taz followed quickly. When he reached him, his breath was no more.

"No..............." He gasped. He let his head hang low and whispered into his brothers ear "I'm sorry! Please wake up!" But his brother didn't stir. Flash suddenly felt a new emotion grasp him. Pure rage was all he felt. He turned on Twilight and Sombra and drew his sword. "YOU'RE GOING TO PAY DEARLY! I'LL DELIVER YOUR HEADS ON STAKES TO CELESTIA!" He screamed.

"I doubt that." Sombra growled, standing in front of Twilight protectively. Flash rushed toward Sombra, sword drawn. Sombra did the same and rushed him. Taz followed Flash's lead and attacked Twilight. Quickly she summoned a sword and met him.

Meanwhile, Sombra was easily overpowering Flash. In some cases anger helped in fighting but in Flash's case it didn't. He was sloppy. Sombra sliced at him, making him lose his sword. Flash didn't even have enough time to react as Sombra punched him. His vision was blurry as he felt the world around him to fade. Sombra quickly turned his attention to the young pony fighting Twilight. A she held him, Sombra could see she was tiring. The cold was getting to her he realized. Quickly, Sombra came up from behind him and knocked him out.

"Heh, nice job-" Twilight said before beginning to fall over. Sombra raced to her side, ad holding her. She was freezing! Sombra quickly levitated her onto his back. He looked at the guards and sighted.

"I have to bring you with me. Can't let Celestia know about our whereabouts." He mumbled. He tied the two living guards together with some rope. Before leaving however, he lit the dead guards body on fire to dispose of the evidence. Quickly, Sombra raced forth into the snow as he dragged the two guards.
