After the attack by extra-terrestrial beings, the Crystal Empire is the only place in Equestria, and all the world, that has been left un-scathed. Prince Shining Armor sends search parties all over Equis to search for survivors, and to find his missing little sister, Twilight. But after searching the desolate ruins of Ponyville and the devastated once Castle of Friendship, find a letter written by her instead. Telling of her time from right before the invasion, to the moment of Equestria's destruction.

Story crossed over with H.G Wells book, The War of The Worlds.
