The bathroom was filled with steam from the hot, steamy water that poured from the showerhead and cascaded over the body of its occupant. The shower curtains were slightly translucent and one would only be able to the see the silhouette of the person inside. The shower knob squeaked as the water was turned off and the curtain opened up.
Garrett Lang stepped out of the shower carefully as to not slip on the linoleum tiled floor, grabbing a towel that he hung up and wrapped it around his waist. The steam from the shower clouded the mirror that hung over the sink. He carefully wiped away the condensation to get a good look at his face. His brown, wavy hair was soaked through and stringy but thoroughly washed.
“Heh, I definitely need a shave,” he chuckled as he ran a hand over his scraggly, yet short beard. Garrett eyed the razor and shaving cream that sat next to the bowl of the sink, debating whether or not he had the energy or the patience to shave right now. “Eh, maybe tomorrow night.”
Unwrapping the towel, he vigorously rubbed his head to dry his shaggy hair. After finishing up, he threw the towel into the hamper in front of the sink, while picking up the clothes he put on the shelf up in the hamper. The clothing he picked out were pajamas he wanted to wear to bed tonight, which consisted of a navy blue t-shirt and plaid pajama bottoms along with a pair of fuzzy socks he liked to wear on cold days. On the floor next to the hamper was his favorite pair of slippers he wore around the house.
He slipped on his shirt and bottoms and slid into his silky soft slippers. He turned around to the sink and opened up the cabinet which was disguised as a simple mirror. From there he withdrew his toothpaste and brush. Squirting a dab of the minty paste onto his brush, he soaked the brush for a brief moment in the sink before he got to work on his teeth.
A couple of minutes pass and he finally spits out the excess paste and began washing his foamy mouth with water from the sink. He finished cleaning up and placed his brush and toothpaste back into the cabinet, where they would wait to be used again during his morning routine.
Garrett gave his face another once over before he finally sighed. “Welp, time to hit the sack I suppose,” he laughed, turning to the door. The bathroom door swung open with a small creak as he entered his cozy little bedroom which, at the moment, held another occupant.
“Oh, you’re out of the shower, Garry?” Bon Bon looked up from the book she had open on the bed in front of her. She was currently laying her side, forelegs crossed as she read; her reading was illuminated by the lamp that sat amongst other things on the nightstand next to the bed. The name “Garry” was something Bon Bon took to calling him when they first became friends.
Now that they were lovers, nothing much has changed between them.
“Took you long enough, ya know?” she smirked at him and closed up her book, placing it on the nightstand with her mouth. “I was almost halfway done with my book.”
Garrett stretched as he made his way towards his side of the bed. “Well, you know me. I like a good shower. Especially with the work I do.” He yawned deeply as he settled onto the soft mattress.
“Applejack work you extra hard today?” Bon Bon asked, turning her body towards him.
“Does the wind blow?” Garrett scoffed, causing Bon Bon to groan and thump him softly on the shoulder. “Ow, but yeah Applejack got her money’s worth outta me today.”
“What happened?”
“Well, you know the cart we use to carry the apples to and from town?” Bon Bon nodded her head. “It broke on us. The damn front left wheel popped off the axle. And we had a particularly big haul of apples, so the wheel wouldn’t stay fixed because of the weight. So I offered to carry one of the barrels.”
“Ugh, why would you do that?” Bon Bon asked sternly. “It’s a five-mile walk from the farm, you could’ve hurt yourself!”
“I know that now,” he grumbled, rubbing his sore shoulders. “Man, I’ll be feeling this in the morning, that’s for sure.”
“How bad does it hurt?” Bon Bon started caressing his shoulders gently.
“Eh, doesn’t hurt that much, babe,” he chuckled. “But I’ll probably need to take a painkiller when I wake up.”
“You’re not too sore are you?” she asked, rubbing his chest sensually.
“I can still move, so nah I don’t think I am,” he looked back at her and saw a familiar look on her face.
“Not too sore for this?” her eyes were half lidded as she leaned forward and nuzzled his neck, gently pecking just below his earlobe.
Garrett immediately recognized this series of moves.
“Feeling in the mood tonight?” a sly smile made its way across his lips. He then felt her nip at his ear. “Ooh, I’ll take that as a yes.”
“Mmmhhmmm~,” she hummed, nibbling softly on his fleshy ear. In their relationship, Bon Bon had come to figure out certain things she could do that would get him going faster than a stampede.
Nibbling on his ear would be one of them.
Shivers ran through Garrett’s body as Bon Bon worked her magic on him. Her warm breath tickled his ear, causing goose bumps to form on his skin. He closed his eyes and allowed her to tease him further, adding more fuel to the fire that began to stir within him. Bon Bon began rubbing his chest softly with her hoof while she continued her assault on his ear. She smiled to herself as she heard him groan in pleasure.
Garrett felt something stir within his pajama bottoms and suddenly they became a little too tight for comfort on a cool night like this.
“You’re really getting me going,” he muttered. Bon Bon nibbled particularly hard and blew into his ear. Something deep inside him snapped.
In one swift motion, he rolled his body over and suddenly Bon Bon was underneath him. He stared straight into those beautiful cerulean eyes of hers. Bon Bon stared back up at him, looking deep into his soft, yet hungry brown eyes.
She knew the look he was giving all too well. It took her back to a time from before; a time when they had barely begun dating. A time she barely even knew him at all. Garrett was, as anyone could guess, not from her world. He was from a world that was similar, yet so different. When his arrival in Equestria was first discovered, it was a catalyst for controversy.
Ponies were afraid of him at first, but it was a fear that was born from unawareness and curiosity. To them, he was nothing short of an oddity. With time, the ponies of Equestria became more and more comfortable around him and soon, he was assimilated into their society, albeit with a few difficulties here and there.
Bon Bon was known to be a shy mare. And when it came to stallions, she often fell hard and rushed into things without thinking it through beforehand. More often than not, things would result in her getting hurt.
However, her world was turned upside down when Garrett came along. The curiosity she felt towards him soon developed into interest, and then later infatuation. For her, it took weeks to work up the nerve to ask him on a date. Even with the constant teasing and encouragement, she received from her best friend Lyra, she simply could not pull the trigger at the crucial moment.
That all changed during one snowy winter night. Bon Bon sat alone on a park bench, watching the snowflakes slowly fall from the sky; all the while she pondered her feelings for Garrett and tried to come up with a viable solution that wouldn’t end with her possibly getting heartbroken.
What was it she liked about him? His rugged looks? His roguish charm? Or maybe his goofy persona. She couldn’t quite place a hoof on it. She then heard someone walking up behind her. And there he stood wearing a heavy winter coat with a red scarf wrapped around his neck. Of course, she panicked and knew that it was now or never.
Or rather she would have if Garrett hadn’t beat her to the punch. He asked her on a date that night, which ended with him taking her back to her house, kissing her on the cheek and saying goodnight. A few dates later, the two lovebirds found themselves consummating their relationship on the floor of Bon Bon’s living room.
But that was months ago. And neither Bon Bon nor Garrett bore any regrets about it. In the midst of her reverie, Bon Bon snapped back to the present when she felt Garrett sliding his body downwards, peppering her chest and neck with kisses and nibbles.
“Ga-Garrett, honey?” she gasped out, her breath getting caught in her throat. “Can we talk for a second?”
“Bonny, please,” Garrett whispered, his face still buried in her neck. “This is a difficult maneuver and I need to concentrate.”
“Garret, please,” Bon Bon begged. “I need to- ah, talk to you about something.” She felt him cease his ministrations on her; a wave of hot breath tickled her fur as he sighed softly. He rolled off of her and propped himself on one arm, an expectant look on his face.
He gestured with his hands for her to resume. “Well? Go on.”
The candy mare inhaled deeply in an attempt to alleviate some of the heat building up in her nethers and to slow down her rapidly beating heart.
“Garrett?” The man raised an eyebrow. “How long have we been together?”
He bit his lip and thought for a second. “Uh, about a year now. Why? Did I forget our anniversary? If I did, I’m really sorry, babe. It’s just, I get so tired of work and I would-”
“Oh no, Garry it’s not that,” Bon Bon giggled. “It’s just, something else.”
“Like?”
“Well,” Bon Bon hesitated. She knew what she wanted to ask, but she couldn’t quite find the right words. Her shyness always came in waves, and what she was about to ask was so absurd and embarrassing it caused her revert to her old persona.
“Hey,” Garrett grabbed her chin and forced her to look at him. “What is it? Tell me.”
“I, uh, well I just, don’t know how to…” Bon Bon tittered nervously, fidgeting with her hooves. “I mean, we’ve been together for a quite a while right?”
“A whole year goes by faster than you think,” Garrett chuckled, bopping her on the nose. “But what about it? Are you not enjoying it? Because if you aren’t, I can try to make things more interesting.”
“No, no, Garry,” Bon Bon urged. “It’s nothing like that at all. I couldn’t be any more happy with you than I already am.” She said, nuzzling his cheek.
“Then uh, what’s the problem?”
She paused to think about a few things. For as long as they’ve been together, neither her nor Garrett could really find anything they hated about the other. Bon Bon was shy and silent most of the time, while Garrett was quirky and outgoing. Perhaps their differences were what brought them together. If anyone were to ask if they regret getting together, both would say they had no regrets whatsoever.
“There isn’t really a problem per se,” she began. “But, I’m just curious about something.” Garrett silently urged her to continue. “Well, I’ve just been meaning to say, and don’t take this the wrong way, but it’s about our… intimacy.”
Garrett blinked a couple of times. The little ship captain at the epicenter of his brain was currently yelling over the intercom at the communications department to get their shit straight. Finally, after cleaning up the signal, the message got through.
“So, you’re saying our time in the bedroom is losing its luster?” he asked, chewing on his lip. “Am I, you know, not big enough or something?”
Bon Bon’s eyes widened. “Garry!” she thumped him on the chest, causing him to groan. “It is nothing like that, I promise!”
“Well then, what is it?” he said laughing at her. She opened her mouth to respond but placed a finger on her lips. “And please, no beating around the bush. Just give it to me straight.”
He removed his finger from her lips. “Trust me, Garry,” she began. “If there was any sort of problem you know I’d tell you about it. And there isn’t. You have nothing to worry about.”
It was true. Bon Bon couldn’t be happier with their sex life. They had a healthy amount of pleasurable sex every week; mostly on their days off they would make love like rabbits in the Spring. In fact, she absolutely loved it whenever they had sex. As did Garrett.
She almost immediately fell in love with the way his hands feel when he runs them all over her body. Bon Bon simply loses herself in the tidal wave of pleasure he gives her every time he does it. Not to mention, she just can’t help but become incredibly aroused when he gets on top of her and holds her down with his strong arms.
As for Garrett, he loved the way her soft, velvety fur felt under his palms. He loved kissing her soft lips and feeling her wet tongue caress his own. Garrett also loved the way she always smelled of butter pecan; most likely from the shampoo she uses or the amount of time she spends around candy. Either way, he loved the scent and the flavor every time he went down on her. And perhaps his favorite feature about Bon Bon was her flank.
For a man who was more accustomed to human females, there was something about Bon Bon’s large and luscious flank he couldn’t get enough of. It was slightly toned, but all the empty spaces were filled out by the amount of candy she “samples” in her store.
However, despite how intimate they’ve become in their time together, there was only so much they could find out about each other by continuously joining their different bodies together in the blissful agony of intercourse.
“What I’m trying to say is,” she continued, “I want to, you know, find different ways for us to spice up our sex life.”
“Oh? And how would we go about doing that?” Garrett asked, a grin stretching across his face. He didn’t want to admit it, but lately, he had been thinking about this sort of thing as well. Of course, he loved Bon Bon, and he relished every opportunity he got to ravage her passionately. Doing the same few positions over and over again with nothing much else happening in between can become stale no matter how well you try to preserve it.
“I guess maybe we should umm…” Bon Bon thought as she placed a hoof to her chin, “...I think maybe it’s about time we come clean with each other.” Garrett stared at her confusedly. “What I mean by that is we should just… tell each other about our fantasies. You know, our deepest desires. Something the two of us have always wanted to try in the bedroom.”
She might as well have punched him in the gut. Garrett knew that Bon Bon was the type of mare who never really liked to say things right off the bat. Bon Bon, for her part, was typically anxious when approaching this sort of thing- bordering on evasive even; Garrett, on the other hand, was nothing of the sort.
He raised his eyebrows. “Sorry?” He cupped his ear, “I didn’t quite catch that.”
Bon Bon rolled her eyes, but groaned and went along with it, “I think we should try different things. You know, in bed. Spice things up a little.”
Nevertheless, Garrett wasn’t letting her off the hook that easily. “Oh, God I knew it!” He rolled onto his back and covered his face with his palms. “I knew it! I’m not big or good enough to please you! Oh good God!”
“Garry!” She laughed despite how embarrassed she was feeling, a blush working its way onto her cheeks, “C’mon! I’m being serious here!”
“I’m too small I knew it!” he continued his little faux tantrum. “Too small! Good Lawd! The mare isn’t satisfied with me!”
“Ugh, c’mon!” she urged, climbing on top of his stomach. She could see clear as day that he was smiling under his hands. “Garry! Quit laughing will you?” Getting Garrett to stop laughing was as easy as taming a wild dragon with a stool and whip. “Seriously!”
“Oh woe is me!” he howled with laughter while Bon Bon helplessly pawed at his chest with her hooves.
“G-Garrett!” Bon Bon wrestled with his hands as she tried with all her might to get him to look at her. “Can you please!?”
“Apparently I can’t, according to you!” he laughed hysterically. A few moments of wrestling go by and eventually Garrett submitted to the mare sitting on top of him. Bon Bon used her natural earth pony strength to pin his wrists to the bed with her hooves. “Whoa, baby! You gotta treat me to dinner first. Nobody gets the goods for free.”
“I did make us dinner, you dummy,” Bon Bon said between breaths. Trying to pin him down was quite the workout. “Now, can you be serious for just a minute? Do that, and I’ll get off you.”
Garrett simply smirked up at her. “I dunno, Bonny,” he drawled. “Maybe I don’t want you to get off me.”
“Then how about you stay there and hopelessly become aroused when I do this!” she pressed her flank down hard on his crotch, slowly gyrating her hips. The effect was instantaneous. Garrett’s eyes rolled back up into his head and he groaned under his breath.
She had him right where she wanted him.
“You know,” Garrett groaned. “If I wanted to, I could push you off and go to town on you.”
“But you wouldn’t do something like that would you?” Bon Bon pressed her nose against his and stared deep into his eyes. “Now, could you please work with me?”
“Fine, babe,” Garrett conceded. With that, Bon Bon released his wrists and he sat up against the back of the bed, with Bon Bon sitting in his lap, her tail flicked to and fro. “I guess maybe we could try some things we both wanna try.”
“So what do you have in mind?” she asked, tilting her head. “Do you wanna go first? Or do I?”
Garrett shrugged her shoulders. “Fine, I guess I’ll go first,” Bon Bon shifted herself into a more comfortable position on his lap, laying sideways across him.
“Well?” Garrett had to think for a minute. Since he’d been in Equestria, so much had been going on with him trying to mix in with a new society, he didn’t have time to think about his sex life. Faced with the thought of him being so far from home and the possibility of never going back, sex was something that was completely absent from his mind.
Now that she had hit him with a question of this magnitude, he had come up with a blank.
“To be honest, sweetheart,” he scratched her behind the ears. “I haven’t got a clue. It’s been so long since I had the luxury to think about stuff like that, I don’t really know what to say.”
“You want me to go first so you can get some ideas?” she offered. Garrett nodded and smiled. “Good. Well, um, for me… I guess I… I don’t know how to say this, but I kinda like the feeling of… helplessness.” She saw the confused frown on Garrett’s face deepen. “What I mean is, well, maybe you could like, tie me down? Maybe, strap me down to the bed with hoof cuffs or something? Or like, tie my uh, hooves together so you can… have your way with me?”
The very thought of Bon Bon tied up on the bed and acting like… like that, made his imagination run wild. Not to mention, it severely piqued his interest. “And, I don’t know. I just wouldn’t mind us trying something with bondage. Doesn’t it sounds a little exciting?”
Considering how tight his pants had become, he’d say it was very fucking exciting.
“I mean, I guess it sounds pretty awesome, heh,” he scratched the back of his neck. However, Bon Bon was right. Her telling him some of the stuff she was into had certainly got him thinking.
Let’s see. She likes the feeling helplessness. She wants someone to fuck her while she can’t do anything about it. She also wants to be tied down… Oh ho, ho man.
Suddenly, thoughts of certain scenarios began flooding into his head. A goofy grin formed on his mouth. He thought about how he would tie Bon Bon’s legs to the poles of the bed while he took his sweet time thoroughly pleasing her in every way. He thought about how he could use handcuffs to restrain her while he bent her over the kitchen table. Or how he could gag her with a towel or some other piece of cloth so no one could hear her screams while he forced himself onto her.
If he hadn’t had exceptional self-control, he’d have thrown Bon Bon onto her back and done the nasty right there and then, no questions asked.
“Garry?” he snapped back into the conscious realm. “What are you thinking of?” He bit his lip and thought once more. Helpless. Tied down. Restrained.
Somehow, these things all conglomerated themselves into one thought.
“Hey, sweetie?” he asked politely while stroking her mane. “I think I thought of something.”
“What do you wanna try?”
“Well,” he began, clicking his tongue. “I know this’ll sound kinda strange, but…”
“Yes~?”
“I kinda wanna try…”
“Uh huh~?”
“I wanna do this thing where you…”
“Oh just tell me, Garry!”
“I wanna try this thing where I fuck you while you’re asleep!” he blurted out in one breath. His cheeks puffed out as he inhaled sharply. Upon realizing what he just said, perhaps he should have thought of a lighter way to tell her. Bon Bon’s eyes widened well beyond their normal range despite the fact that her eyes were already big enough.
Now they were almost the size of softballs. Her mouth was slightly agape as she stared owlishly at him.
Inside Garrett’s brain, the ship captain was currently in the middle of yelling at the people down in the voice control department and has half a mind to demote them to a janitor.
“Uh, sweetie?” he waved a hand in front of her face. “Bonny? Are you okay?” Garrett used two fingers and gently closed her open mouth. Now he was becoming nervous. Bon Bon sat and stared at him for a good few minutes; a look of internal confliction apparent on her face.
In fact, she didn’t quite know how to respond to what he just said. The way he said it, however, sparked a certain feeling inside of her. He wants to do that? While I’m asleep? Why that’s so… so… interesting.
A small blush appeared on her cheeks. Her tail began to flick more erratically and she could feel heat emanating from her nether region. She began to think of how something like that would turn out.
There on the bed, she would lay, falling into the gentle embrace of sleep without a care in the world. She would fall asleep wrapped up in a protective cocoon of her bedsheets, happily sleeping the night away. And then, he would come to her in the night like an incubus. She imagined how it would feel, where she would be sound asleep while Garrett slowly stripped away the sheets that covered her body; slowly and carefully as to not wake her, he would gently spread her back legs open, revealing her sweet treasure trove of love.
She imagined that he would use those wonderful digits of his to pleasure her endlessly until she would-
“Bon Bon?” the candy mare felt her lover shake her shoulders gently. “Are you okay? I’m sorry if I was a little blunt.”
“Oh!” she gasped. “Oh no, it’s not that. It was just an interesting thing to say that’s all.”
“So what do you think?” he asked, eyebrows raised. “I mean, I understand if you don't wanna try that. Even to me, it seems creepy.”
“Then why ask, if you don’t agree with it?” Deep down, Garrett knew it was something he really wanted to try. He really wanted to see what it was like for him to make passionate love to her while she was unconscious and couldn’t do anything about it. “I mean, do you really want to try that?”
“Well…” he looked away from her out of embarrassment, something he hardly ever felt when he was with her. “It’s just… I honestly thought I creeped you out a bit. I thought maybe, you would’ve thought I was a freak or something.”
“Garrett,” she said softly, grasping his face with both hooves. “Look at me.” He hesitantly looked back into her gentle blue eyes. “I would never think of you like that.”
She leaned forward and planted a soft kiss on his lips. “I love you. And nothing, and I mean absolutely nothing in the world, could ever tear us apart. I would do anything for you. You know that right?”
“Yeah, I guess you’re right, heh,” he grinned at her and nodded. “So, you don’t think it’s too extreme?”
“Hmm,” her ears flattened as she thought for a second. “Well, it is a little unusual, but if it’s something you want to try, then I’m all for it. I trust you and I know you would never do anything to hurt me.”
“Hehe,” he leaned forward and pecked her on the cheek. “Not in a million years would I ever do something as stupid as that.”
“Good,” she nuzzled his neck. “So, you still wanna do it right now?”
“You read my mind-” his words were cut off by a deep yawn and he covered his mouth. “...you read my mind, babe.”
Bon Bon laughed and shook her head. “Somepony sounds a little tired.” She got off his lap and rolled over to her side of the bed, pulling back the comforter and the sheets. “How about tonight we just cuddle? I know you like that.”
“I dunno,” he yawned again, pulling back his bed sheets and settling into the covers. “Not as good as sex, but I think it’s a close second.” Bon Bon scooted backward and snuggled closer to him, relishing in the coolness of the sheets mixed in with the warmth of his body.
Garrett laid his head against the soft pillow and threw an arm over Bon Bon’s barrel and one under his chin so he wouldn’t wake up with a dead arm in the morning. He would’ve loved to for them to have sex tonight since it was the eve of the weekend, but his body was tired from the week and he needed rest. Especially after the long talk they just had.
Thankfully Applejack was nice enough to let him have his days off on the weekends. On those days she takes what they harvested that week into the storage house in the market, so they can sell them.
“Hey Bonny,” he whispered into her ear. She craned her neck to look up at him. “I love you. You know that right?”
“Of course I do,” she smiled and the two lovers leaned in for a kiss. The embrace lasted for a few seconds before they pulled back and smiled once more, whispering goodnight and laying their heads back down.
Bon Bon loved feeling him so close to her. The way he held her body as she slept. The way he would softly stroke her mane with those gentle and dextrous hands of his. She sighed blissfully and closed her eyes, snuggling deeper into the pillow.
Garrett smiled to himself, his eyes closed. He opened an eye and stared out the window next to their bed. Winter was here already from what he could see. Snowflakes fell daintily from the sky onto the ground. It wasn’t full on snowing yet, but that would come soon. Luna’s moon lit the night sky as if it was a God sitting on his perch in the sky, watching over the denizens of Equestria.
I guess things turned out better than they did. He exhaled and closed his eyes for the last time, allowing himself to fall into a deep slumber. The two lovers held each other for the rest of the night. Their hearts beating as one while their minds were off on a vacation to the dreamworld…
The morning came far too quickly for the two lovers. Garrett held on to Bon Bon for the whole night as he always did. During the mornings, he would always be the first to wake up. This one was no different.
His eyes slowly opened to see the light of day that seeped in from the windows. Yawning deeply, he looked down to see that Bon Bon had all four legs wrapped around his body, a content look on her face. The man couldn’t stop the smile that formed on his face. Her mane was positively messy and disheveled from sleep. She looked adorable when she slept.
Why does she make sleeping look so cute? He brushed a stray lock of her pink and blue mane away from her face, a small sigh escaping from her. Heh, cute. Now how do I get out of here?
Her legs were wrapped around his upper and lower torso which would make getting out of bed slightly more difficult. Garrett’s early morning routine during the weekends was quite simple: wake up before Bon Bon, get dressed, go for a workout, and come back before she gets up. During his time in Equestria, and due to the random and calamitous events that happen often in Ponyville, Garrett saw fit to keep his body in shape by any means at his disposal. The best workout regime he could think of was to go for a run followed by vigorous calisthenics.
Since he didn’t own any special equipment, he felt using his own body as a workout machine would work perfectly.
Moving as slowly as he could, Garrett pushed himself away from Bon Bon, releasing himself from her grip. One by one, each of her limbs were detached from Garrett’s body. Twisting himself over, he rolled off the bed and placed his socked feet onto the ground.
He stretched his back and arms, several bones popping back into place. A silent yawn escaped from his mouth. Without rocking the bed too much, he rose up off the mattress and slipped his feet into his silk slippers. He slid his feet across the rugged floor over to the vacant bathroom.
Upon entering, he switched on the light and took a look at himself in the mirror.
Ugh, looks like I drooled a little. There was some dried up spittle in the corner of his lip and he immediately turned the cold water knob. He cupped his hands under the stream of cool water and splashed it on his face; the coldness of the water succeeded in waking him up further. Garrett repeated the process a few times, washing the dry spittle on his mouth and the sleepiness out of his eyes.
After finishing, he switched off the water and exited the bathroom, turning off the light beforehand. He crept over to the dresser that sat along the wall adjacent to the bed, pulling back a drawer that contained the clothes he needed for his morning workout. The clothes he used for this type of occasion were custom-made by Rarity as well as the rest of his wardrobe.
He pulled out a pair of tights he would use instead of normal underpants, since the material was absorbent and flexible, characteristics that were vital for good workout clothes. Since it was already winter, he pulled out some clothing that would protect him from the elements. He pulled out a cotton knitted sweater which Rarity made specifically for athletic activities. It even came with a hood in case there was rain.
Hmm, is it really that cold outside? He glanced out the window and saw that it was not terribly cloudy, so Celestia’s sun could provide some type of warmth. I guess I’ll just put on some shorts. He pulled out a pair of black cotton shorts, one pair of many he would use for his daily workouts. After that, he slipped on a pair of socks and began the search for his shoes, a pair of Nike sneakers, the only pair of shoes he brought with him to Equestria.
Not that he had time to prepare a suitcase before he ended up here.
He spotted them in a corner of the room and stepped into them. The shoes were not specially made for running, but they were significantly lighter albeit worn from how long he’s used them. Nevertheless, running with these shoes was a lot better than running barefoot or with a pair of heavy work boots.
After slipping them on, he laced up his shoes and set foot towards the bedroom door. He walked down the hallway that led to the kitchen and living area. Their house wasn’t terribly big, but roomy enough to comfortably hold a few people. He liked this house much more than his the project house he was forced to live due to no one being able to take him in.
Or rather, not wanting to.
Garrett then grabbed a water bottle from the fridge and made his way to the front of the cottage. The living room was modestly decorated. A few potted plants here and there, maybe a painting of a potted plant or of some landscape hanging on the wall. What surprised him about Equestria, was the fact that there was television. Despite how colonial Ponyville looked with the cottages and thatched roofing, television and telephones were a thing.
The only real difference is that the television looked nothing like the ones from Earth. It held no buttons or knobs to push or turn, there was no wire outlet, and according to Bon Bon, it is powered by magic and controlled by a remote that can manipulate the magical waves that are emitted from the TV.
Magic wasn’t something he understood, but he went along with it.
Opening the door, he stepped out into the early morning sun. It was about six o’clock in the morning, which is the usual time he wakes up for work. Back on Earth, he was used to waking up at early hours, which made his job working on the farm with Applejack slightly easier. What scared him about Applejack was that she was practically a machine. He would arrive every morning and she would be all bright-eyed and bushy-tailed.
Literally.
“Ahhhh~,” he exhaled into the chilly air, frost forming from his warm breath. “Heh, knew it. Early morning chill.” Their house was located near a lightly-populated residential street in Ponyville, far away from the chaos of the Market District and the shadiness of Mane Street, where all the midnight debauchery takes place.
At this hour, very few ponies were out and about. Around eight or nine is when all the shops begin to open, and the entire town begins to wake up.
Garrett could feel the cool wind nipping at his bare legs; goosebumps forming on his skin.
“Welp, ain’t gettin’ any younger,” he chuckled, stretching himself out. Once he finished stretching out his arms and legs, he jogged in place briefly before setting off at a steady jog towards his usual trail in the park.
Bon Bon awoke with a start, laying on her back. She blinked her eyes, clearing up the drowsy haze that blurred her vision. Her body shivered from the early morning chill that ran through the house. Turning over to her left, she realized why she was so cold: her convenient source of heat with legs had suddenly vacated the premises.
“Garry?” Bon Bon called out as she sat up in bed, the covers discarded off to the side. The bathroom was dark, which was a clear sign that Garrett wasn’t here. She perked up her ears in an effort to sharpen her hearing. No sounds. The TV was off. There was no noise from the kitchen. “Oh…”
She flopped backward onto the mattress, realizing that Garrett had left for the morning. He had mentioned once or twice that he usually leaves during early weekend mornings to get his workout routine out of the way. The thought had completely crossed her mind. Turning over, she stared at the alarm clock that sat on Garrett’s nightstand.
It read 6:47 in the morning. Garrett had probably left a little less than an hour ago. By now, he should be almost done with his exercise. As she laid there, she began to think about things they talked about the night before.
"I really want our sex life to be a little more exciting, but…” Her ears flattened against her head. "Could I really do something like that? Let him… touch me, while I’m asleep? Could I honestly let myself do that?"

Given how he was now currently struggling to catch his breath, perhaps he should have coasted near the end.
Sweat cascaded down his face, his hair now comparable to a rain forest after a typhoon. His clothes were completely soaked with sweat, his skin was hot to the touch, and every single muscle group in his body was screaming in pain. Mostly his legs, which seemed to throb with every heartbeat. His shoes were now covered in dirt, and his feet could certainly use air.
Due to his high body temperature, steam rose from his shoulders as it mixed in with the cold air. Garrett’s throat and chest burned from the cold air with each breath he drew in.
He stood up straight and pulled back his hoodie, placing his hands on his head to open up his lungs. “Ah, god,” he groaned, resisting the urge to lean back against the door. “C’mon, Garrett. You’ve been through worse than this.”
A passing pony who happened to be his neighbor Amethyst Star paused as she saw the panting alien creature standing on his porch. “Garrett?” she called out. “Are you alright?”
He looked up to see the bright purple unicorn mare approaching him with a worried expression. “Oh, yeah!” he laughed, taking in another deep breath. “Just uh, whew, just finished my morning exercises.”
“Exercises?” she queried confusedly. “After working on Applejack’s farm all week, you still have the energy to workout?” Garrett wheezed out another laugh, wiping some sweat from his brow.
“Believe it or not, Amy,” he chuckled. “Working on a farm isn’t too hard. And I do this so I won’t lose my edge. You know, keep the old gears oiled.” The moniker ‘Amy’ was something he took to calling her when they first met. After the initial and expected shock of meeting a sentient alien creature, Amethyst became accustomed to Garrett. Especially since they were neighbors.
At first, she was a bit indignant about him calling her “Amy”, but eventually, she accepted her fate. There was no bargaining with Garrett once he made up his mind.
“Well, you certainly look exhausted, Garrett,” she observed, “How long have you been doing this?”
Garrett regained control of his breathing and stood straight up. “Uh, I’d say since before me and Bonny got together? Somewhere around there.”
“Really?” she smirked at him, “Doesn’t quite look like it. You look like you might be putting on a few pounds. Just what is Bon Bon feeding you?”
Garrett arched a brow at her and crossed his arms. “It’s just muscle mass, Amy. Since I’ve been working out all this time, my muscles have gotten A LOT bigger than before. Check it out!” He rolled up his sleeve and flexed his right arm.
Amethyst merely giggled at his attempt to impress her with his masculinity.
“Oh, look out everypony,” she mocked, “We have a tough guy over here~!”
Garrett rolled down his sleeve and scowled playfully at her. “Oh, you snarky little pony,” he laughed, “Don’t worry, I’ll find a way to get you back for that.”
“I’ll be waiting,” she batted her eyebrows at him. “You know, since you’re all sweaty and worked up like that, you’d better find a way to cool off.”
“Well, I got a nice shower waiting for me inside,” he shrugged his shoulders, “So, hopefully, that’ll help. It’s pretty cold out here, man, whew!” Garrett blew into his hands and rubbed them together. “Speaking of which, how come you aren’t wearing a little scarf or something?”
Amethyst shrugged her shoulders. “Eh, my winter coat’s coming in a little early this year, so I’ll be able to survive anything short of snow.”
“Yeah I can see that,” he mired, eyeing her coat. It really did look very nice; the way it glimmered in the early morning sunlight. Hot pink was definitely her color. Is saying that ironic because her coat is the same color? He didn’t know. “Well, I gotta head inside. I’ll see you later, Amy.”
He waved at her and she returned the gesture. “Bye, Garrett! I’ll see you soon as well!” She began trotting off in the other direction and Garrett opened the door to his house.
Upon entering the house, he immediately felt something was off. As if… he could feel a disturbance in the force…
Oh, the heater. That was off. The house was certainly almost as chilly as the outside. Entering the hallway in front of the door, he checked the thermostat and saw that it was in the 70s when it should at least be a little higher.
“There we go,” he rubbed his shoulders in an attempt to warm himself up. Back on Earth, he lived in the South for most of his life. And Equestrian winters always hit hard. Last winter, they had a blizzard that covered the whole town in a thick blanket of snow; the power had also gone out so he and Bon Bon had to cuddle next to the fire wearing three layers of clothes under a pile of blankets.
Good times.
He made his way to the master bedroom and creaked open the door. There were no sounds of activity for as long as he’s been home. Bon Bon was probably still asleep.
Oh well. The door opened all the way and walked into the room, immediately heading towards the bathroom… completely ignoring what was on the bed.

He made a forty-five degree turn to the left and spotted something peculiar on the bed: his lover.
What the- why is Bonny still asleep? he scratched his itchy, damp head, I guess I should wake up…
Garrett walked over to her side of the bed and reached out a hand to her- but he paused. Something about her stopped him from waking her. What was it? His eyes scanned over her small frame.
