//-------------------------------------------------------// Spike and the Golden Princess -by BMelton1- //-------------------------------------------------------// //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 1 //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 1 At the Castle of Friendship, Twilight Sparkle is nervously walking back and forth while Spike is watching her. "Twilight, calm down." Spike spoke out. "I'm sure you'll get a letter before the days over." "I'm not nervous." Twilight replied. "Just a little anxious. Equestria day is coming soon, and I wonder what Princess Celestia wants me to do." "What is Equestria day again?" Spike asked. "I already told you, Spike." Twilight replied annoyed. "It's the day that everypony celebrates all new friendships made across Equestria. And as the Princess of Friendship, I need to know what I need to do. I really hope that letter arrives. Equestria day is only three days away." Spike suddenly belches out a letter from the Princess. Twilight excitedly levitates it to her and reads what it says. She reads it out loud. "Dear Twilight, Me, Princess Luna, and Princess Cadence have decided to hold the upcoming Equestria Day celebration in Ponyville. Please have your friends set up the festivities. What's more, you and your friends will be the guests of honor at the celebration for your heroic deeds in saving Equestria from it's many threats." This made Twilight extremely happy. "This is so exciting!" Twilight exclaimed as she hugged Spike tightly with her magic without noticing. "I must tell the others!" Twilight ran out of the castle as fast as she could to tell all her friends the good news, leaving Spike alone. Spike then looked at the letter himself with a sad look on his face. "Just the girls?" Spike asked to himself. "What about me? I helped save Equestria too. Well, just the Crystal Empire, but still, why not me? Guess I don't blame them. I didn't really defeat King Sombra. And anyone could've brought the heart to Princess Cadence. Guess Princess Celestia only wants heroes who can actually save Equestria." Spike slumped down on the floor feeling depressed. Meanwhile... In Princess Celestia's Royal Library in Canterlot, a mysterious figure with a red hooded cloak used his magic to teleport inside the Library. He looked around and saw all the books surrounding him. He used his magic to levitate all the library books out from their shelves and in front of him. He also used his magic to flip all the pages of every book. Unknown to him, a unicorn royal guard holding a spear saw him inside the library and used his magic to unlock the library door and go inside to confront the mysterious figure. "HEY!" the guard shouted as the mysterious figure turned around, dropping all the books down on the ground. "What are you doing in here?" The guard asked. "Only the Princess may enter." The mysterious figure with the red hooded cloak didn't say anything. He continued to look at the guard with red eyes showing underneath his cloak. This made the guard feel uneasy. "I'm going to have to ask you to leave." The Guard said with uneasiness in his voice. The figure still didn't respond. "Please leave at once!" The guard stated with a little more confidence. "Before I will-" Before he could finish, the mysterious figure used his magic to twist the guard's neck, killing him. The guard's dead body fell to the floor. The mysterious figure then teleported to the Canterlot throne room, where Princess Celestia and Princess Luna were. The figure didn't take notice to them at first, looking at all the stained glass windows. Princess Celestia and Princess Luna flew down from their thrones to confront this mysterious figure. "Who are you?" Celestia demanded. "What business do you have within our kingdom?" Luna questioned. The figure didn't respond and launched a red magic blast at the two princesses.
